“The Zap area, which managed to write its name in the history of our people with the epic resistances it developed in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, develops a resistance worthy of its name today, giving historical lessons to the invading Turkish army as before. The Zap area, where one of the most epic resistances of our freedom struggle took place, did not give way to the invaders with a struggle equivalent to its historical mission, and it becomes a dead end for the invaders every day and every hour of the day. Undoubtedly, the role of our heroic martyrs is decisive in the transformation of the Zap area, where the struggle is carried on with a will of steel, into such a fortress of resistance. On the way they set out for a free and honorable life, they covered every moment with resistance and struggle as travelers of meaningful times.
Our comrades Sara, Seher, Seyitxan, Zana and Brusk participated in this war with all their souls and became martyrs by leading the growing resistance against enemy attacks. These valuable comrades, each coming from a different area of Bakure Kurdistan, united in the yeast of Apoism and became the heralds of victory. We express our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially their valuable families, who raised heroes such as Sara, Seher, Seyitxan, Zana and Brûsk for the freedom struggle of our people.

SARA AGIRI SERHILDAN
The patriotic Serhed region has made great contributions to the development of our growing struggle by embracing the freedom march of our people, which was recreated from the ashes of Leader Apo. Serhed region, which has always been loyal to Kurdistani values and where our culture and history is most alive, has never lost its resistance mission from history and has been one of the first areas where our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle has become massive.
Our comrade Sara was born in Agirî, who pioneered the resistance culture of Serhed, to a valuable family connected to the Kurdistan culture. Our comrade, who grew up in a patriotic family and environment in Giyadin, was introduced to the phenomenon of labor early, like many Kurds who were condemned to poverty by the colonial Turkish state and tried to make a living by their own labor. Struggling against all difficult conditions and social pressures, our comrade Sara did not accept the traditional features of women living in her house created by the system, and used every opportunity she found to improve herself. Our comrade Sara, who went to the university with her own efforts and studied at the electrical-electronics department, had the chance to get to know the Apoist movement closely, which she followed with great curiosity and enthusiasm during her university years. Comrade Sara, who was introduced to the Women’s Liberation Ideology presented by Leader Apo to all oppressed women, got to know the PKK in depth with the heroes created by the PKK and was involved in youth work. Leader Apo’s ideology gave him great strength and morale in the system where women were seen as nothing. As she started to recognize herself as a woman, Leader Apo and our comrade Sara became more attached to the struggle, and she worked tirelessly to become a militant of the path of truth drawn by Leader Apo.

Our comrade Sara, who aims to raise awareness by leading both Kurdish youth and Kurdish society by conducting youth work, responded to the pressures of the fascist Turkish regime by fighting more. Against all the intimidation and tyranny of the invaders, our comrade Sara was able to stand against the enemy with her identity as a free woman. The colonialist Turkish state, which could not subdue our comrade Sara, arrested our comrade in order to break his will and to distance him from our Leadership and our movement. Our comrade Sara, who was held hostage in the dungeons of prison of the colonial state in Erzirom for three years, has turned to the process into a school environment where she could improve herself, like thousands of our comrades. As she developed herself ideologically, she learned to rely on her own strength as a woman, revealing more of her free woman identity. After she was released from prison in 2015, she played a leading role in youth and women’s work in many Kurdistan cities, especially in Amed, Riha, Istanbul, and in Turkish metropolises, with greater enthusiasm and energy. Comrade Sara, who was introduced to real and free life with the philosophy of Leader Apo, rejected the so-called possibilities offered by the system and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2016.
Comrade Sara, who stayed in Komelên Ciwan studies for a while and transferred her knowledge and experience to her young comrades, later moved to the field of training to become competent in the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Our comrade Sara, who almost reinvented herself with the training she received, participated in the struggle with her whole soul to be worthy of our martyrs in the person of comrade Sara (Sakine Cansız), for whom she took her name. She became an exemplary militant of the PKK and PAJK line in every environment she was in, and showed a strong practice by integrating with her comrades. Our comrade Sara, who developed herself rapidly in both the ideological and military fields and created a great accumulation, continued her breathless struggle until the day she was martyred in the Zap field.
Our comrade Sara, who described the guerrilla ranks as “the place where a new life will be established”, struggled to make every moment of her sacred guerrilla life meaningful. She lived and fought selflessly, based on being the companion of Zîlan and Sema, whom she followed. She and her comrades dealt the first blow to the invaders in the face of the invasion operation launched by the colonialist fascist Turkish state on the areas of Zap, Avaşîn and Metina on April 14. Comrade Sara, who moved from position to position in the Kurojahro Resistance Field and led the resistance, duly fulfilled her promise of loyalty to our holy martyrs. The resistance of our comrade Sara, who fought against the invaders without hesitation until the moment of martyrdom and is one of the best examples of an honorable Kurdish woman, became the concrete example of our struggle to victory.

SEHER DENİZ
Our comrade Seher was born in Mêrdîn, one of our areas that pioneered the Kurdistan Revolution. But he grew up in Germany because his family immigrated to Germany in the 90s due to enemy pressure. Although our comrade Seher left Kurdistan at a young age, she did not break away from her cultural and patriotic values. With the influence of her patriotic family, her leadership has always felt the guerrillas and our people. At the same time, she constantly followed the enemy pressures on our people. For this reason, although she lived in the centers of capitalism for years, but her patriotic feelings always remained clean. When our comrade Seher reached the age of youth, she sought to be an answer to the suffering of our people. At a time when some people left our country Kurdistan for their personal lives and accepted a dishonorable life, our comrade Seher tried to fight harder for the honor of our people. Despite having all the financial means and teaching; rejecting all these opportunities, she decided to join the guerrilla ranks. With this decision, our comrade Seher has dealt a great blow to the capitalist system that wants to detach our people from their reality and assimilate them.
On this basis, our comrade Seher turned to her country Kurdistan in 2016 and joined the guerrilla ranks. After joining the guerrilla ranks, she trained herself with our Leader’s ideology of freedom and tried to get back to her essence by getting rid of the effects of the capitalist system. She has shown great effort and sacrifice in this regard and has been successful in these efforts. Again, by educating herself on the reality of martyrs, she made her mind clear with the memories, heroism and sacrifices of the martyrs, and always walked in the footsteps of the martyrs with the effort of being worthy of them. Our comrade Seher has become a militant that all her comrades take as an example with her unaccountable and unwavering participation. Again, with his clean and honest personality and his sincere smile, she became a source of morale for her comrades and a pioneering Apoist militant. Our comrade Seher has always been in search and effort to be able to respond to this difficult process that our people and our Movement are going through. She wanted to fulfill the mission she had set for herself, especially during this war that has been going on for 7 years and will determine the future of our people. She specialized in guerrilla warfare with the training she received, but she did not find this sufficient for herself. She decided to join the Hêzên Taybet organization in order to have a participation at the level of the Fedai, and she became involved in the activities of Hêzên Taybet. Hêzên Taybet has had a successful march with her working personality, her dedication to her cause and her insistence on freedom. Since our comrade Seher aims to be successful in all her works, she has achieved successful results in all her works.

Our comrade Seher reconsidered herself as a woman with her sincerity and belief in the line of women’s freedom, and she fought a relentless struggle against the standards of life imposed on women by the male-dominated system. As a result of this fierce struggle, he took great steps towards freedom and became a free Apoist commander. As a leading commander, when the enemy attacks against the Medya Defense Zones began, he unhesitatingly resisted the enemy with the consciousness and courage he received from the Apoist ideology and fought the Turkish army, which is hostile to humanity. With this sacred stance, our comrade Seher once again made the line of sacrifice prevail and became an unforgettable example.
The Kurdistan Freedom Struggle was embraced by our oppressed people from the first day it emerged and greeted with public serhildans. Leader Apo, who recreated our people, who were brought to the brink of extinction, with his philosophy, changed the Kurdish reality, which came to the point of denying itself, and revealed a people’s reality that made history with its struggle and resistance. The revolutionary wave that developed in Kurdistan affected all social segments in Kurdistan and drew them to the center of the resistance.

SEYÎTXAN ELEGEZ
From the first days of our struggle, our patriotic Giravi tribe embraced the resistance of our people without hesitation under the most difficult conditions and sent hundreds of their brave sons to the ranks of the PKK. Our comrade Seyîtxan was born in the Payîzava district of Wan as a member of our patriotic Giravi tribe, which strongly embraces the values created by the PKK. He met our struggle at an early age and had a great admiration for the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla since his childhood. Our comrade, who had to immigrate with his family from the Turkish metropolitan cities to İzmir in 1998 due to the oppression and attacks of the invading Turkish state, grew up with a longing for the country in his heart. Martyr Seyîtxan Giravi (Seyithan Karakuş), brother of our comrade Seyîtxan, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2002 on the basis of holding the invaders accountable in the face of the extermination attacks imposed on our Leadership and our people. The legacy of struggle left by our comrade Martyr Seyîtxan Giravi (Seyithan Karakuş), who moved to the Dersîm area after guerrilla warfare in the harshest and most difficult areas of the Zagros, has always remained alive in the memory of our comrade Seyîtxan. Our comrade, who sees the colonialist Turkish state’s policy of corrupting the Kurdish youth and removing them from the struggle, has always taken a clear stance against the invaders. Our comrade, Dicle University, who sees the university as an opportunity to return to the lands of Kurdistan that he has always longed for, He won the mathematics department and moved to Amed, the resistance center of Kurdistan. Our comrade Seyîtxan, who never accepts what the system offers him, is based on participating in the freedom struggle as a follower of the line of martyrs. Our comrade Seyîtxan, who remained in youth work for a while, brought to consciousness early on that the most effective field of struggle against the occupation and the occupier is the guerrilla ranks, and joined the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2015.
The reality of martyrs created by our party, the PKK, and the tradition of continuing the struggle of our martyrs uninterruptedly by being taken over by their comrades behind is the true essence of the PKK. Every martyrdom experienced on this basis becomes a justification for further struggle. Our comrade Seyîtxan also walked in the footsteps of Martyr Kurtay Feraşîn, one of our leading commanders and valiant son of Botan, and took the name of his older brother, Martyr Seyîtxan Giravi, and took the flag of our immortal martyrs in his person and carried it with great pride.

Our comrade Seyîtxan, who moved to the Zap area after the training he received, started his freedom march. Every environment he was in made him feel great and led his comrades in life and war. With his combative personality, he managed to adapt to the field early. Being a great school, the PKK trained and developed itself as if it were born again in its life. He always knew how to find a solution in the face of problems. Our comrade Seyîtxan has been a persistent defender of our Party’s militant line and has succeeded in being an exemplary follower of Leader Apo. He was tightly integrated with the PKK’s holy comradeship and made great efforts to develop each of his comrades. He turned every difficulty he experienced into a tool to improve himself. Our comrade Seyîtxan has displayed a struggle worthy of all our martyrs.
Our comrade, who improved himself in the military field as well as in the ideological field, advanced rapidly in the line of a competent guerrilla and a command that answered the needs of the period. Our comrade Seyîtxan, who was one of our comrades who dealt the first blow to the enemy with his comrades in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area in the face of the invasion attack launched by the invading Turkish army on the night of April 14, fought against the invaders until the day he was martyred, and took part in many effective actions within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign. With his life, participation, war and stance, our comrade Seyîtxan carried the flag of resistance of Kurtay Feraşîns, Serhed Giravis and Seyîtxan Giravis with lacquer and gave victory orders to his comrades. The struggle of our comrade will definitely be crowned with victory by us comrades who are left behind.

ZANA AMED
Our patriotic city of Amed has struck fear into the hearts of the invading Turkish state with the serhildans it has developed. Being one of the first areas where our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle was massive, Amed duly fulfilled its historical pioneering mission with its massive support to the struggle and participation in the guerrilla ranks.
Our comrade Zana was born in Amed, the center of the resistance, to a worthy family of patriots and close relatives who participated in our struggle. As a result of the colonial policy of the occupying state, he grew up in financial difficulties like many Kurdish families. This situation enabled our comrade Zana to recognize the reality of the enemy and the phenomenon of labor at an early age. Our comrade, who grew up with the serhildan tradition and struggle in Amed, closely witnessed the oppression and persecution developed by the fascist Turkish state and army against our people. Our comrade, who has great anger against the invading state, started to struggle at an early age. Our comrade Zana, who participated in youth activities, resisted the politics of denial and annihilation on the one hand, and on the other hand, started to get to know our party PKK and Leader Apo more closely. He made great efforts to raise awareness of the Kurdish youth against the assimilation policy implemented by the system against the Kurdish youth. The more he learned, the more our comrade became attached to the philosophy of the Leadership, brought to consciousness the fact that our people can have a free future only through the guerrilla struggle carried out in the mountains of Kurdistan. On this basis, our comrade Zana, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014, showed all honorable Kurdish youth the true path and place of struggle.

BRUSK AMED
Amed has taken an important and central place in the history of our people by developing the historical Amed Dungeon Resistance, where the foundations of our party PKK were laid and against the invasion attacks. Our people of Amed, who have not bowed to the invader since the first day of our struggle, sent their most valiant sons to the ranks of the struggle. Our insurgent city of Amed, where the Serhildan tradition was created and most popularized, has created a new generation that grew up with the PKK culture. The patriotic youth of Amed chose to fight in the free mountains of Kurdistan in the face of attacks of assimilation, denial and destruction, and thwarted the dirty plans and attacks of the invaders.
Our comrade Brûsk was born and grew up in a esteemed family who participated in our patriotic and freedom struggle in Amed’s Licê district, which pioneered the resistance and serhildan culture. Our comrade, who knew the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle from an early age, acquired the personality traits of the region, which is a strong patriotic legacy. Due to the oppression and attacks of the fascist Turkish state, he migrated to the center of Amed with his family and grew up there. Our comrade Brusk witnessed the fact that our people wanted to undergo both cultural and physical genocide and our people’s honorable resistance against it. The youth period of our comrade coincides with the years when our people of Amed were most active in the struggle. Our comrade, who saw the children and elderly people brutally murdered by the fascist Turkish state, was filled with anger against the invaders. At the same time, he closely followed the Kobanê Resistance, which affected the whole world. Armed with the philosophy of Leader Apo, our people’s war of honor against ISIS gangs and the historical victory they achieved will enable our comrade Brusk to raise awareness of the fact that our people cannot preserve existence and ensure their freedom without self-defense.

In the process of Self-Government Resistance, which started in the cities of Kurdistan with the slogan of a free future, our comrade Brusk, who saw the destruction attacks of the fascist Turkish state especially during the Sur Resistance, poured his anger into the struggle by organizing. Our comrade, who took the legacy of the legendary Sur Resistance fighters and brought them to victory, took the first steps in the struggle by being involved in youth work. Comrade Brusk, the basic principles of living as human beings are wanted to be destroyed; He rejected a dishonorable and unidentified life in which the history, culture and language of the ancient Kurdish people, of which he belonged, were ignored. Our comrade Brûsk, who grew up with a culture of resistance and is aware of his responsibilities, actively participated in youth work for three years and gave a great effort, fighting for an honorable life. Our comrade, who had a short detention period, was subjected to torture and oppression by the invaders. Known with a great sense of revenge against the colonial Turkish state, our comrade Brûsk joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the most effective field of struggle, in 2017, both giving the necessary answer to the invaders and showing the honorable Kurdish youth the real field of struggle.
Our comrade Brûsk, who became conscious at a certain level in youth work, deepened this even more with the training he received in the guerrilla ranks. It adapts early to mountain and guerrilla life with its mature, disciplined and practical features. His brave and assertive personality enabled him to specialize in the military field in a short time. Our comrade, who became an expert in guerrilla tactics in a short time, started his first guerrilla practice by moving to the Zap area. It develops itself as if it competes with the rebelliousness and viciousness of Zap water. He both learns and teaches with his PKK comradeship, which he values greatly in Zap, which instills fear in the enemy. It matures in the guerrillaism of the period by being cooked in life and practice. Our comrade Brûsk, who is aware of the importance of labor, takes part in life and struggle without hesitation.
