BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center commemorated Kemal Pir on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his martyrdom and stated:
“We commemorate with respect and gratitude Comrade Kemal Pir, one of Rêber Apo’s first companions, one of the founders of the Apo movement, one of the first commanders of our guerrilla army and one of the internationalist leaders who determined the resistance style of our PKK party, on his 40th anniversary of his martyrdom. Comrade Kemal Pir’s motto “to love so much to die for a free life” paved the way for us, his followers, to resist and win. The freedom guerrilla of Kurdistan is proud to continue uninterruptedly for 40 years the honorable path paved by the martyrdom of our leading comrades, to realize Comrade Kemal Pir’s dream of forming a guerrilla army and achieving his lofty goals. Kurdistan freedom guerrillas carried out effective actions to commemorate Comrade Kemal Pir on the 40th anniversary of his martyrdom and proved once again that Kemal Pir’s style of resistance leads step by step to victory.
As a result of the 13 actions carried out by our armed forces; 10 occupiers and 1 counter-guerrilla were punished, including one with rank, and one occupier was injured. At the same time, 1 military vehicle and 1 Mobesse camera system were destroyed. The occupying Turkish army bombed the resistance areas 3 times with tactical nuclear bombs, chemical weapons and poison gas, 40 times with attack helicopters, 3 times with fighter jets and dozens of heavy weapons. At the same time, the occupiers tried to destroy the fighting positions and tunnels in the Werxelê resistance area with excavators and clearing tanks.”
The statement gave the following details on the actions of the guerrillas and the attacks by the occupying forces:
In the Zap region as part of the revolutionary Bazên Zagros offensive;
– On September 6, at 08:20, the occupiers positioned around the Şehid Xursi combat positions in the Saca resistance area were attacked by our mobile teams with individual weapons. In this action, 2 occupiers who were snipers were punished by shelling and 1 Mobesse camera system was destroyed.
– At 10:30 on September 6, the occupiers who were going to advance to the fighting positions in the Şehid Adil resistance area in Çemço were fired upon by our mobile teams and 1 occupier was punished. At the same time, the occupiers in the resistance area were hit by sabotage tactics.
– On September 6, at 11:00 and 11:30, the invaders in the Çemço resistance area were hit twice with sabotage tactics.
– At 16:30 on September 6, the occupiers who became active in the Karker resistance area were fired upon using sniper tactics after being brought under control by our YJA Star mobile teams. In this action, 1 occupier was punished.
– On September 7, at 06:00 and 07:30, the occupiers who wanted to enter the Şehid Bahoz combat positions in the Şehid Fedakar resistance area in Sîda were hit with single weapons. After our armed forces intervened, the occupiers had to retreat a step. At 08:30 the occupiers who tried to enter the fighting positions again, this time were hit with sabotage tactics and 1 occupier named Ömer was punished.
In the Xakurke region as part of the Bazên Zagros revolutionary offensive;
– A military vehicle of the invaders traveling between Geliyê Reş and Gerdiya areas was brought under control by our forces on the morning of September 4th. At 08:00, this vehicle was hit squarely using sabotage tactics. In this action, 3 occupiers and 1 counter-guerrilla were punished and 1 military vehicle was destroyed.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
– On September 6 at 08:00, our mobile teams carried out an infiltration action against the invaders in the Girê Amediyê resistance area. In this action, 1 occupier who was shot at close range was punished and 1 occupier injured.
– On September 6 at 6:00 p.m., the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the fighting positions in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were met and beaten by our forces. After our armed forces intervened, the occupiers had to retreat a step.
– On September 6th at 23:00 the occupiers in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were fired upon by our mobile teams using sniper tactics and 1 occupier was punished.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with tactical nuclear bombs, chemical weapons and poisonous gases;
– On September 6, the combat positions in Girê Amediye and Girê FM resistance area were bombed three times with tactical nuclear bombs, chemical weapons and poisonous gases.
The attacks of the occupying Turkish army;
– On September 5, the Saca resistance area was twice bombed by warplanes.
– On September 6, drone activity was observed in Şehid Adil, Girê Amediyê, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî resistance areas.
– On September 6, the Turkish occupying army tried to destroy the fighting positions and tunnels in the Werxelê resistance areas with excavators and clearing tanks.
– On September 6, the Şehid Adil resistance area in Çemço was bombed dozens of times with heavy weapons.
– On September 6th and 7th, the resistance areas of Şehid Adil, Saca, Girê Amediyê, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî were bombed 40 times by helicopter gunships.”
