BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center has provided the following details regarding the occupation invasion of the Medya Defense Zones:
“We commemorate with respect and gratitude the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of Comrade Ali Çiçek, one of the July 14 resistance fighters, the young leader of our party, PKK and Red Star. We promise that we will crown his struggle with victory, always taking Comrade Ali Çiçek’s great faith, steely will, irrepressible spirit and youthful energy as an example.”
The statement summarized the guerrilla actions and attacks by the Turkish state as follows:
“In the 25 actions carried out by our armed forces in memory of comrades Ali Çiçek and Delal Nurhak; At least 19 occupiers were punished and 5 injured. At the same time, 1 drone was destroyed, 1 Skorsky helicopter and 1 military tent were also hit. The resistance areas were bombed by the occupying Turkish army 5 times with banned bombs and chemical weapons, 27 times with warplanes, 22 times with attack helicopters and dozens of times with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons.”
Details of the actions and invasion attacks are as follows:
“In the Zap region as part of the revolutionary Bazên Zagros offensive;
- At 08:10 on September 15, the occupiers moving in the Saca resistance area were hit with heavy weapons by our YJA Star mobile teams.
- On September 15, at 07:30 and 13:35, the occupiers in the Şehid Adil resistance area in Çemço were fired upon by snipers and 2 occupiers were punished.
- On September 15 at 11:30 a.m. the occupiers in the Şehid Fedakar resistance area in Sîda were attacked and beaten by our mobile teams.
- On September 15, from 17:00 to 19:00, the invaders in the Şehid Fedakar resistance area in Sîda were hit by our mobile teams with heavy weapons.
- On September 16, from 08:00 to 11:30, our mobile teams fired 4 times with snipers and 2 times with heavy weapons on the occupiers who wanted to advance in the direction of the Şehid Agir combat positions in the Sîda resistance area. While 5 occupiers were punished in these actions, 3 occupiers were injured. At the same time 1 drone was destroyed.
- At 11:50 on September 16, the occupiers trying to break into the Şehid Bahoz combat positions in the Sîda resistance area were hit with individual weapons and hand grenades. After our armed forces intervened, the occupiers had to retreat a step.
- On September 16 at 13:00, 13:20 and 13:40, the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the Şehid Felat fighting positions in the Sîda resistance area were hit 3 times with sabotage tactics and 8 occupiers were punished while 2 occupiers were injured.
- On September 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the Şehid Felat combat positions in the Sîda resistance area were hit three times with individual weapons and hand grenades, at least two occupiers were punished.
- On September 16, the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the Şehid Agir fighting positions in the Sîda resistance area were met and beaten by our mobile teams. After hits by our troops, the occupiers had to retreat a step.
- Between September 16, 20:00-21:30, helicopter activity took place over the Saca resistance area. Our mobile teams targeted and hit a Skorsky helicopter. After the action, more helicopters had to leave the area.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On September 15 at 22:00, the occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area were shot down by our YJA Star removal teams. 1 tent was hit during this action.
- At 08:00 on September 16, the occupiers who became active in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were hit with individual weapons by our YJA Star mobile teams. After the blows of our forces, the movement of the invaders stopped.
- At 15:30 on September 16, the occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area were sniped by our YJA Star mobile teams and 1 occupier was punished.
- On September 16 at 4:40 p.m. the occupiers in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were fired upon by snipers by our mobile teams and 1 occupier was punished.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with banned bombs and chemical weapons;
- On September 16, the war positions in the Girê FM and Girê Amediyê resistance areas were twice bombed with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons. It was found that the chemical gases used against Girê Amediyê’s fighting emplacements gave off an odor of chlorine.
- On September 16, Şehid Bahoz combat positions in the Sîda resistance area were bombed three times with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons.
The attacks of the occupying Turkish army;
- On September 15 and 16, the resistance areas of Sîda and Çemço were bombed 14 times by warplanes.
- On September 16, the Çarçel and Golka areas of Metîna, as well as the Gundê Şêlazê and Gunde Beşîlî areas were bombed 13 times by warplanes.
- On September 16, the resistance areas of Girê Hakkarî, Girê FM, Girê Cûdî, Girê Amediyê and Şehid Fedakar were bombed 22 times by helicopter gunships.
- On September 16, the Girê Hakkarî and Çemço resistance areas were bombed dozens of times with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons.
- On September 16, drone activity was observed in the Girê Cûdî, Girê FM and Amediyê resistance areas.”
