NEWS CENTER – Asrın Law Office made a statement on its Twitter account, “A total of 756 colleagues from Morocco, Palestine, Federated Kurdistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Rojava, Syria and Jordan applied to the Ministry of Justice and we have not heard from the Ministry of Justice for a long time. They conveyed their request to meet with Konar and Mr. Aktaş.”
OBSTACLE TO THE PRESS RELEASE IN SULAYMANIYAH
Asrın Law Office reacted by saying, “The press release that our colleagues wanted to make in Sulaymaniyah was blocked by the public order in Sulaymaniyah,” and continued as follows:
“This is just one example of the international dimension of the isolation and why it needs to be tackled.
By making written statements and in front of the press; Mr. We would like to thank all our colleagues who showed solidarity with us, stating that Öcalan’s views and philosophy exceeded the borders of Kurdistan, that he is the most reliable solution force in the crisis the Middle East is entering, and that isolation should be lifted and freedom should be ensured.”
On September 14, 385 lawyers from 22 different countries announced at a press conference in Brussels that they had applied to the Ministry of Justice to meet with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. In the application, the practices in Imrali were described as “a special and discriminatory isolation”.
44 LAWYERS FROM SOUTH KURDISTAN
For the same purpose, a campaign was launched in Southern Kurdistan. When the preparatory committee of the campaign wanted to make a press statement in front of the Suleymaniye Court, it was blocked by Asayiş.
According to the committee, 44 lawyers from different parts of Southern Kurdistan signed to go to Imrali. It is anticipated that a press release will be made at another center regarding the campaign in the coming days.
