LEVERKUSEN – “Come to the Freedom Struggle for Leader APO’s freedom!” led by Kurdish and internationalist youth in Germany. The 20-km walk from the city of Leverkusen to the city of Cologne, which is the fifth day route of the long walk, has started.
Before today’s march, it started with protesting the chemical weapons and tactical nuclear weapons used by the invading Turkish state against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla.
The march started in the morning with a protest action at Chempark Leverkusen and continues between Leverkusen and Cologne after the police intervention attempt and the resistance of the youth.
The youth organized a protest in Leverkusen this morning to protest and expose the use of chemical and tactical nuclear weapons by the fascist Turkish state.
The march that started after the protest continued as usual, but when the police intervened and wanted to detain several young people, Kurdish and internationalist youth put up resistance. The youth continued their march after the resistance and 15 minutes before their destination they wanted to intervene again. Refusing to accept this situation, the youth continued to resist.
Determined to finish their march, the youth continued their resistance until late hours.
It was noteworthy that the young people were in high spirits despite the unfavorable weather and police provocation. After today’s Leverkusen – Cologne period of about 20 kilometers, the youth will end their march tomorrow in Aachen with the participation of Kurdistanis and friends and will participate in the 30th Kurdish Culture Festival in the Netherlands.
The youth are still being held by the German police under the pretext of identity checks. The youth continue to resist.
