BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center statement stated the following:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla continues to resist the attacks of the invading Turkish army and carry out effective actions with its creative application of guerrilla tactics and high combat performance. Our mobile teams thwarted the enemy attacks and carried out many actions to avenge our immortal commanders Bager Erdal and Rêzan Amed.
As a result of 18 actions carried out by our mobile teams; 21 invaders were punished, 1 position was destroyed with 1 Skorsky type helicopter. The invading Turkish army bombed the Resistance Zones 10 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, 98 times with attack helicopters, 19 times with warplanes, and dozens of times with howitzers and mortars.
The details of the actions taken and the attacks made are as follows;
In the Zap region as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign;
- On September 3, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions in the Martyr Fedakar Resistance Area in the Sîda area of the Zap were hit with heavy weapons and sabotage tactics. In these actions, 2 invaders were punished, and after the actions, the invaders had to retreat one step.
- During the night of September 3, there was a helicopter movement in the Martyr Fedakar Resistance Area, which is connected to the Sîda area of Zap. There were violent clashes between our forces and the helicopters that wanted to land on the area. Our mobile teams intervened in these helicopters 11 times. One Skorsky helicopter, which was heavily hit during these interventions, caught fire and while trying to get away from the area, it crashed in the Barzan area and was destroyed together with the invaders. Immediately after the Skorsky helicopter fell, the invaders bombarded the area where the helicopter fell with warplanes 4 times.
Within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, in the Xakurke region;
- On September 2, our mobile teams implemented a creative tactic between the Girê Martyr Şahan and Girê Martyr Axîn areas of Xakurkê, drawing the attention of the enemy here. Invaders who wanted to advance towards this area were ambushed and effectively hit with sabotage tactics 4 times. It has been clarified that 8 invaders were punished in this action. This action was carried out to avenge one of our immortal commanders, our comrade Bager Erdal.
- On September 3, at 09:45, the howitzer and mortar positions of the invaders in the Girê Martyr Derwêş area of Xakurkê were hit with heavy weapons by our YJA Star moving timer. While 6 invaders were punished in this action, 1 position was destroyed. After the action, explosions occurred in other positions as well. This action was carried out to avenge our comrade Rêzan Amed, one of the great veterans of the professionalization of the guerrilla.
Cenga Xabûre Martyr War Within the framework of the Maraş Revolutionary Campaign
- On September 1, at 07:10, the invaders around the Girê Martyr Pîrdoğan battle positions in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area were shot by our mobile teams and the 3 invaders were punished.
- On September 3, at 15:30, the invaders in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area were hit twice with sabotage tactics and the 2 invaders were punished.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons;
- On September 3, the battle positions in Girê Amediyê and Saca Resistance Area were bombed 10 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army;
- On September 3, drone activity was observed in Girê FM, Girê Cûdî and Martyr Adil Resistance Areas.
- On September 3, the Girê FM Resistance Area was bombed dozens of times with howitzers and mortars.
- On September 3, the Girê Bihar, Sîda and Martyr Fedakar Resistance Areas and the Golka area of Metîna were bombed 15 times with warplanes.
- On September 3, the Martyr Fedakar Resistance Area was bombed 86 times, while the Girê Amediye Resistance Area was bombed 12 times with attack helicopters.
- On September 3, the invading Turkish army tried to demolish the battle positions and tunnels in the Werxelê Resistance Area with scoops and crushing buckets.”
