NEWS CENTER – HPG and YJA Star guerrillas said that the hopeless Kurdish people got up again with the first bullet fired on August 15, and emphasized that August 15 is the hope of the people.
HPG and YJA Star guerrillas evaluated the 38th anniversary of the 15 August Initiative, developed under the leadership of PKK’s great commander Egîd (Mahsum Korkmaz), and the impact it had on Kurdistan.

YJA Star guerrilla Edûlê Şahin said that they welcomed August 15 with great enthusiasm: “First of all, I congratulate the August 15 Resurrection Day of the Kurdish people, the guerrilla and the peoples of the Middle East. “As the YJA Star guerrilla, we are aware that we will defeat the enemy with the philosophy of Rêber Apo. With the actions we will take, we will break the isolation against Rêber Apo and ensure his physical freedom. As the YJA Star guerrilla, we are once again aware of the fact that we will defeat the enemy in the battle positions and our patriotic people.” We celebrate the Resurrection Day,” she said.
OUR RESISTANCE IS AT THE HIGHEST STAGE

Commemorating all the martyrs of the revolution on the occasion of August 15, HPG guerrilla Welat Cûdî said that the resistance created by the first bullet fired by the commander Egîd against the oppression and occupation still continues. Emphasizing that the guerrilla is fighting a relentless struggle against the Turkish state in the Medya Defense Areas, especially in Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna, Cûdî continued his speech with the following words: “Our resistance is at the highest stage on the basis of the philosophy developed by Rêber Apo. For example; Zendura, Tepe Cûdî and Tepe Friends dealt heavy blows to the enemy in many areas, especially in the Hekari tunnels. The guerrilla is displaying honorable resistance against all kinds of forbidden weapons used by the enemy. Just as the enemy could not achieve a result against the guerrilla after the 15 August Initiative, it will not be able to achieve success in the war being waged today. Our people should also support the resistance of the guerrilla and fight in every field. We must raise the struggle to respond to the process. Our aim is to break the isolation by increasing the resistance and to end the persecution of our people. We will protect the efforts of our martyred comrades and fulfill our promise of victory to them.”

The YJA Star Berfin Pinar guerilla also stated that a new era has been started in the history of the PKK with the August 15th Step and said, “Leader Apo’s militants are fighting today with the spirit of resistance of friend Egid. The freedom fighters destroyed the chemical weapons of the Turkish state. The Turkish army cannot fight against the guerrillas. Their failure was proven with Zaxo’s attack. The enemy has placed its strength and faith in technology, but forgets that the guerrilla is fighting with the philosophy of Leader Apo, with the spirit of Zilan, Beritan and Egidan. We are fighting today based on Leader Apo’s ideology. Our goal is to expel the invading enemy who is brutally attacking from our land. Based on the August 15th Step, we will increase our resistance. In every field, we will base our friend Egid’s position and we will fight.”

The resistance that our friends are doing in Zap, Avashin and Metina is the continuation of the August 15th resistance. The guerrilla is fighting against the strong technology of the enemy and inflicts heavy blows on the invaders every day. This is the continuation of the spirit of August 15. We, Egîd comrades, will intensify our resistance. We will defeat the Turkish state and realize the physical freedom of Leader Apo. August 15th is resurrection, August 15th is freedom, and August 15th is the hope of the people.”
