As part of the special operation, three people were arrested named Ebû Hacer, Kanîwar Hec Qesîm and Ehmed Hesen Elî, who confessed during the special program on Ronahî TV. If you look at the confessions of these spies individually, you would think that they have nothing to do with each other. In fact, these spies don’t know each other, but if you look at the bigger picture, you can see that they all worked under the auspices of two people and were members of a spy network set up by the Turkish intelligence agency MIT. These two persons named Ebû Nûr and Ehmed El Hemze were killed as a result of the Oath operation in the Alya area in the south of Serekanî and their spy network was destroyed.
EBÛ HACER: MEMBER OF IS AND MIT
The IS gang member named Ebû Hacer was also an MIT spy and was active in the IS in the town of Zîban near Derazor for a while and murdered many people. In his confession he spoke about his connection to the IS and the attacks he implemented against the population and the soldiers:
“I stayed in Jabhat Al Nusra for a year and a half, I supervised the construction of dams in Haqil Omar. After Jabhad Al Nusra left the region, I joined ISIS. I stayed at the airport and in the Derazor countryside. I stayed with them for 2 years. After ISIS left, I retreated to the city of Mayadin and joined the SDF there. After IS officials threatened me, I left the SDF and started working for IS. The person who gave me instructions was a senior figure in ISIS, after the defeat of Baxoz he became a covert sleeper cell in ISIS. The first event I attended was the killing of two SDF fighters in the city of Ziban. In the 17 attacks I was involved in, 18 combatants and one woman died and an oil warden was injured.”
After that, IS gang member Ebû Hacer realizes that he will be arrested by SDF forces. To avoid being arrested, he goes to the city of Serekanî, which is occupied by the Turkish occupying state, and joins the Turkish secret service MIT. He expresses his experiences in the ranks of the Turkish secret service in these words:“During the SDF operation, my colleagues named Xalid and Recep were killed. After I was also wanted by the SDF, I fled to Serekanî. There were a lot of people I knew there, they were also with the IS. I stayed in Serekanî for almost 2 years. In Serakanî I only did one action for the IS, that was also an ISler, his family had surrendered. I wanted to go to Idlib, but because an American operation was taking place there, I couldn’t go. In Serekanî I met a person named Ebû Îsmaîl who worked in the Free Army. He also introduced me to Ebû Omer. Ebû Omer also introduced me to Ebû Nûr. Ebû Nûr lives in Turkish cities and works for MIT. He spoke to the Turkish commanders, he called them Xal (uncle) and he also spoke to a person named Kebiş, who was responsible for the investigation. Ebû Nûr’s people were generally in Deirazor, his two brothers worked in the regime. Every time he went to Derazor, he stayed 3-4 days and then returned. I suspected he was collaborating with the Syrian regime, but as a former ISIS member, how can he be collaborating with the regime?”
The spy Ebû Hacer explained the planning of a new attack on behalf of MIT and his arrest by the SDF in Raqqa with these words: “After a week, Ebû Nûr asked me to kill someone in the city of Raqqa. He showed me a photo of someone, told me to kill him and one of their men would come and give me a phone, money and handcuffs. He said that they have many people there, but they cannot do this action. I accepted and went to the city of Raqqa. Before I left, Êbû Nûr took a picture of me and said that he will show it to the Turkish MIT. I should stay 3 days, attack and turn back. But I was arrested in the city of Raqqa.”
BECOME A SPY UNDER THREATS
A spy named Kanîwar Hec Qesim from the village of Kerengoz in the city of Amûde expresses his relationship with Ebû Nûr, the head of the MIT network in Serekanî: “I sent my family to Serekani to enter Turkey. But they were neither brought nor brought back. As a result, I went there. I spoke to someone named Xalid, he did this work. He said I should come. On the day of my arrival, my children were taken to Turkey. But when I wanted to go back, they wouldn’t let me. A person named Ebû Nûr came and told me that I work with the organization and they had information about me. If you work with us, you have to tell us where the locations of the Hevals say. They took my ID card from me, they said they know my house and that my children are in their care. you threatened me A person named Omer was also involved, he sent all the information about me to him. They said they would belong to Mêrdîn. I was forced to tell them everything.”
THEY WANTED THE RUSSIAN COORDINATES
The spy named Kanîwar spoke about his dirty work at MIT and said:“Then they sent me to Hesekê. After 2 days they called me and said why don’t you send us any information. I took care of myself for 7-8 days, but I could not save myself from difficulties with them. They said tell us where the Russians’ locations are. I said one of them is in Amûdê, there the Hevals and the Russians are together in one place. I don’t know their exact number. Also, there are 25-30 people in Dîkê. There was one location in Çakhir Bazar and one in the village of Mizgeft near Tirbêspî. I gave them four locations. There were some places of “Erka Xweparastinê” (Self-Defense Units) whose coordination gave them. They asked me the name of the responsible contact person, I gave them his name. I sent them some pictures. There was a regime meeting place, the Hevals and Russians were there, I sent them this place. I sent them this via telegram. After 15 days I was told that Ebû Nûr was killed. The Hevals got me after a short while.”
The spy named Ehmed Hesen Elî from the neighborhood of Eziziye in Hesekê explained his relationship with MIT and his espionage activities as follows:“I worked as a nurse at Şehîd Sarya Hospital for 4 years. At the end of April 2 people from Eziziye approached me. These were brothers, they were my people. They collaborated with MIT in Riha via Ebû Nûr Mergeda. They said we can help you go to Germany, but you have to work with us. I accepted that. They asked me for information about the people in charge and the management of the hospital, about the injured and the war veterans. I sent them the name and photo of the head of the hospital and a commander. They said after a while we will send you the money but they didn’t send it. I worked for them for a while, but then I got arrested.”
