BEHDINAN – Reminding that the 15 August Initiative affected all parts of Kurdistan as the first liberation bullet fired into the darkness of September 12, the PKK Executive Committee statement said, “We are giving good news to everyone that we are closer to freedom than ever by walking on the line of 15 August Breakthrough and Victory.”
PKK Executive Committee published a written message on the occasion of the anniversary of the 15 August Initiative. It was stated that the 38th year of the Revolutionary Guerrilla Leap Forward on August 15, 1984, which changed the fate of Kurdistan and the Kurdish people and started the history of free life by stopping the history leading to extinction, has been completed and entered its 39th year.
In the statement published under the title of “Our patriotic people and democratic forces”, the following points were emphasized:
“As Kurds, we have been living free for 38 years, waging the most relentless and meaningful struggle in history. The independence and freedom resistance, which started 38 years ago with the Eruh and Şemdinli actions, continues today with our guerrilla and public actions that dealt fatal blows to the fascist-genocidal enemy all over Kurdistan, especially in Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna, and is on the way to victory.
First of all, on its 38th anniversary, we salute the great August 15 Revolutionary Breakthrough that changed the course of history. We celebrate the August 15 Resurrection and Guerrilla Day of all our comrades, especially Leader Apo, our heroic guerrilla forces, our women’s and youth movements, our patriotic people and our revolutionary-democratic friends. In the person of Comrade Egîd, the immortal commander of the breakthrough, we commemorate all our heroic martyrs with respect, love and gratitude. Again, we commemorate all our 15 August martyrs with deep respect, starting with Comrades Seyfettin Zoğurlu and Mustafa Yondem and extending to Comrades Atakan Mahir, Zeki Şengali and Agit Garzan. We reiterate our promise to achieve their goals and keep their memories alive. We wish success to all those who are fighting for freedom and democracy on the 39th of August 15th.
ILLUMINATED LIKE A SPARK IN THE DARKNESS
As it is known, the Revolutionary Breakthrough of August 15, 1984, brought the 1982 Great Dungeon Resistance to life by carrying it to the mountains and the guerrilla, and delivered it to the people all over Kurdistan. As the first freedom bullet fired into the darkness of September 12, it affected all parts of Kurdistan. As a spark in the darkness, it illuminated the whole of Kurdistan and the world. With the colonialist-genocidal mentality and the blows it inflicted on politics, it gave hope to the peoples and humanity. He created independent thought and free life by destroying all kinds of slavery, surrender, collaboration and betrayal. As an effective and successful application of Apoist thought and style, it proved the correctness of the Apoist Revolutionary Line historically.
It is clear that the Kurds won everything in the name of independence, freedom and democracy on the basis of the Dungeon Resistance Decision and the August 15 Revolutionary Guerrilla Initiative that put it into practice. All kinds of consciousness, organization and action developed on this basis. The rebuilding of the PKK, the heroic guerrilla leadership, the women’s and youth organization, all-powerful courage and self-sacrifice emerged on this basis. The popular serhildan of the 1990s was achieved on this basis. It was on this basis that the Historic National Resurrection Revolution was accomplished and the Women’s Liberation Revolution was launched on that basis. While the Kurdish status in Bashur was the indirect result of this breakthrough, the Rojava Freedom Revolution took place as a direct result.
A NEW MENTALITY AND LIFESTYLE EMERGED
By breaking the influence of the genocidal mentality and politics imposed on Kurdistan, he developed a full enlightenment movement for Kurdistan, Turkey and the Middle East. He even illuminated the whole history and the world. As a product of Leader Apo’s genius, he developed a new mentality and lifestyle revolution and reunited humanity with its own truth. On this basis, he succeeded in creating a new reality of Leadership for humanity. With its democratic, ecological and women’s libertarian society paradigm and the democratic confederalism project based on democratic autonomy, it opened the way for a democratic solution for all the problems posed by the power and state system. No matter where in the world it is now, no social problem is unsolvable.
APOCU CHARGI KNEW SUCCESSFULLY PASSING TWO GREAT EXAMS
The Revolutionary Guerrilla Breakthrough of 15 August and the Apoist Line that created it, managed to successfully pass two major tests in the historical process. The first of these was the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the second was the international conspiracy imposed on Leader Apo. Leader Apo successfully overcame these two historical processes on the basis of the Revolutions of Mentality and Conscience, which he constantly deepened. Thus, it became a new source of hope by showing all the oppressed humanity the way of democratic liberation and free life. Now the hope of freedom is stronger than ever.
Our movement and our people were educated by the truth of such a Leadership and became passionate about free living and gained the consciousness, courage and sacrifice of fighting for freedom under all circumstances. Especially Kurdish women and youth, equipped with the Apoist bodyguard line, became a force that overcomes all difficulties and overcomes obstacles. While the guerrilla struggle carried out by the Kurdish youth on this basis has become a new example and hope for all youth, the freedom struggle developed by Kurdish women in line with the self-deprecator has created a new enthusiasm and excitement all over the world. This self-defense awareness and organization that developed on the basis of YJA-Star women’s guerrilla showed everyone that it is possible to successfully fight against male-dominated mentality and politics.
RESISTANCE CONTINUES ON THE VICTORY LINE
On this basis the Kurds broke their own bondage and overcame their weaknesses. On this basis, they revealed the heroic resistance that has continued uninterruptedly for 38 years against the fascist, colonial and genocidal Turkish domination. They destroyed the games played on Kurdistan and all kinds of profit calculations on the basis of these. They showed their power to create successful development by struggling in the most adverse conditions. They have successfully resisted international conspiracy attacks based on the Imrali torture and isolation system for 24 years.
Today, as we enter the 39th year of the Great Leap Forward, the resistance in question continues on the mountain, in the plain, in the city, in four parts of Kurdistan and abroad, in every field and on the line of victory. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is fighting heroically in the Media Defense Areas, especially in Zap, Avaşîn and Metina, in Bakur and Başûr, in Turkish metropolises, and writes the most meaningful epics of resistance in history. By training and organizing itself under the command of Egîd and Zîlan, it is breaking down the attacks of AKP-MHP supported by NATO and KDP one by one, and is turning Kurdistan into a graveyard of fascism. By walking on the line of Atılım and Victory on August 15, we announce to everyone that we are closer to freedom than ever before. On this basis, we once again salute the heroic guerrilla resistance in every field, especially in Zap, Avaşîn and Metina; We heartily congratulate their historic achievements; We commemorate all our heroic martyrs with respect and gratitude in the person of comrades Güven Doza and Vorîn Welat, who are their most recent martyrs. We always wish the guerrilla great success and we believe that it will be successful.
OUR PEOPLE RESIST STRONGLY ON 15 AUGUST LINE
It is clear that the fascist-genocidal enemy continues its attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria along with the Medya Defense Zones. Again, it tries to attack areas such as Şengal and Maxmur at every opportunity. Rojava and Bashur want to scare our people away on this basis and invade these parts of Kurdistan as well. For this, he runs everywhere from the USA to Russia and bargains with everyone. However, it is clear that it is no longer able to find the opportunity as it used to be, and that it is stuck and is in the process of collapse. We believe that the freedom forces and peoples in all these areas will unite and organize, and will valiantly resist these genocidal invasion attacks and accelerate the collapse of AKP-MHP fascism. We believe in this, and we want them to know that all our support and the support of humanity is with them.
It is very clear that our people in four parts of Kurdistan and abroad are resisting valiantly against the colonial-genocidal attacks on the line of heroism on 15 August. Our heroic guerrilla resistance is a great source of morale and strength for them. They are constantly strengthening their resistance on the basis of the relations and alliances they have developed with other peoples and revolutionary-democratic forces in Turkey and abroad. We salute this valiant resistance of our people and friends in every field, aiming at the physical freedom of Leader Apo, and wish them great success.
AKP-MHP WILL PAY ACCOUNT FOR ITS CRIMES
Our people and the public know very well that we, as the Leadership, Movement and the people, have always been in favor of a democratic solution to problems and have made a very intense and self-sacrificing effort for this. But the anti-Kurdish, fascist-genocidal AKP-MHP dictatorship knew nothing but fascist terror, massacre, torture, persecution and occupation. To this end, he marketed all Turkey’s possibilities and negotiated war with everyone against the Kurds. Numerous powers, from NATO to the KDP, supported these genocidal attacks and became partners in the crimes of genocide. On this occasion, we once again warn everyone who supports the AKP-MHP fascist-genocide, especially the KDP and NATO forces. The AKP-MHP will collapse and give an account for the crimes against humanity it has committed. This is certain. Therefore, everyone should pay attention and no one should be a partner in this crime against humanity and should not find their hand in Kurdish blood. In this context, the statements made by 300 intellectuals in Turkey and 70 Democrats on behalf of the “International Kurdish Solidarity Collective” are very important. We salute this attitude and call on all those who call themselves democrats to take a stand against the Turkish occupation and genocide and raise their voices on this basis.
As we enter the 39th year of breakthrough and victory, it is clear that we as the Movement and the people are left with no other way but to fight and win on the basis of the revolutionary people’s war strategy. We, as the party and guerrilla leadership, as women’s and youth movements, as all our people and our friends, are deeply aware of this, and we will develop our move towards Dem Dema Azadiyê and our Fiftieth Year Struggle on the 15 August Line and we will definitely win. The 39th anniversary of the August 15th Leap Forward will be a year of struggle and victory greater than ever.
On the basis of these, we celebrate the 15 August Resurrection and Guerrilla Day of all our comrades, our people and our friends, especially Leader Apo; We invite all our people and friends, especially women and youth, to further develop our struggle for freedom and to celebrate our 15th of August with enthusiasm.”
