NEWS CENTER – The PKK Solidarity Committee with the Families of Martyrs announced that the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla Delil Welat (Hasan Mahmud Bozo) was martyred in the Turkish state’s airstrike on Medya Defense Zones on September 19, 2019.
The statement of the PKK Solidarity with Families of Martyrs Committee regarding the martyrdom of Delil Welat included the following statements:
“To our patriotic people and democratic public opinion,
In this historical period, the epic resistance of the Freedom Guerrilla against the attacks of the Turkish state, capitalist modernity, colonialism and treacherous collaborativeism to genocide the Kurdish people and invade Kurdistan, in every inch of our country, especially in Zap, Avaşin, Metina and Botan, has risen. Commemorating our Martyrs becomes a fundamental requirement to stick to the memories of breaking up the genocide imposed on our people under their guidance, ensuring the physical freedom of our heroic Martyrs, and establishing a free Kurdistan. Our martyrs are the only creators of a dignified life. In this sense, it is a moral principle, comrade, to raise the fight against genocide and occupation, to defeat our enemy, by making the Martyrs vital, on the path they opened, It is a great duty to be a patriot. Even in the most unlikely conditions, they shielded their lives from genocide and occupation.
They became the hope and spirit of a free life by spilling their blood on every inch of the land of Kurdistan, which is the home of the peoples. In this sense, our patriotic people should be very proud to bid farewell to their most distinguished sons for the freedom of the country. We take great pride in getting the chance to be their comrades. We believe that all our patriotic people, especially the esteemed families of our Hero Martyrs, experience the great honor of continuing the belief in freedom and resistance to genocide that they inherited. On this basis, while we commemorate all the martyrs of the revolution with respect and gratitude in the person of our comrade Delil Welat (Hasan Mahmut Bozo), who joined the Caravan of the Immortals in the air attack carried out by the invading Turkish state on September 19, 2019, we express our condolences to our esteemed Bozo family and our patriotic people.
TAKES PART IN THE CULTURAL STUDIES OF THE REVOLUTION IN 2012
Our comrade Delil Welat opened his eyes to life in a patriotic family environment with 6 boys and 4 girls in 1993. In the first years when the Kurdistan freedom struggle, initiated under the leadership of the PKK, was developing, family and close friends became associated with the freedom struggle. After the great guerrilla breakthrough of August 15, 1984, while the participation in the guerrilla ranks from all over Kurdistan increased, thousands of men and women from Rojava, which offers the hope of a free life to the whole world today, joined the struggle for the liberation of Kurdistan from the enemy occupation.
There were also many participants from the city of Amûdê, which had a great resistance in its past, and newborn children grew up with these participation stories. Heval Delil Welat was born and raised in such a reality. In the environment he grew up in, he became a person who attracted attention with his personality traits who were determined and fought for the values he believed in until the end. When he reaches the age of youth, the land where he was born hosts a great social revolution. The democratic nation revolution envisaged by Leader Apo is embodying in Rojava. When the revolution process started in Rojava in 2012, our comrade Delil Welat became involved in cultural studies, which is the main construction area of this revolution. He becomes one of the young but determined faces of the revolution with his joy, hope for a free life, enthusiasm and a never-ending smile on his face.
MARTYR RÛBAR TAKES ACTIVE PART IN THE QAMIŞLO MOVEMENT
As the Rojava revolution takes root, saving its country from occupation and helping its people lead a free life becomes the main focus of Evidence. An older sister joins the freedom struggle before her. Although this enthusiasm affected Delil, the main effect was his great sense of devotion to the Martyrs. He believed that every martyrdom must be answered immediately and based on living accordingly. On this basis, the martyrdom of our friend Delil Hesekê was the biggest factor that motivated our comrade Delil to take part in the freedom struggle. Afterwards, when a friend Welat Botan, with whom he worked, was martyred in 2013, he decided to become a freedom fighter and determined his name as Delil Welat. Delil Heval, who managed to be a different person throughout his life, also made a big difference with his participation. patriotism, As a sign of loyalty to the country and the Martyrs, he celebrates his participation in the ranks of the PKK with great enthusiasm with his family. The excitement and enthusiasm of his participation never go away from him in his next walk.
Our comrade Delil Welat, who took the step to become a freedom guerrilla in 2013 by fighting against the gangs feeding the invading Turkish state and capitalist modernity colonialism, actively participates in the Martyr Rubar Qamishlo Campaign, which played a major role in the defeat of ISIS as a determined subject of the moves to liberate Rojava. Our comrade Delil, who started to work in the field of health after being wounded in the war, became the owner of a practice that deepened in comradeship, based on internalizing the Leadership philosophy, and seeing the enemy’s reality as a basic necessity. For heval Delil, it has always been the measure of being a correct militant. The unhindered spirit of success allows many developments with its practical intelligence.
SUCCESSFUL GUERILLA IN XINÊRE
Delil Welat heval, who decided to become a stronger freedom fighter in 2017, said: Thousands of cadres for the freedom struggle of our people on the basis of learning the leadership philosophy more deeply, reaching a sharp level in the PKK line, fighting more consciously to be a true comrade, and experiencing the excitement of being a guerrilla on the peaks of the Kurdistan mountains, He attends training at Mazlum Doğan Cadre School, which trains militants. Our comrade Delil Welat, who took the path of catching the 15 August Great Spirit of Victory with the strong results he received from the training, has had a successful guerrilla practice in the Xinêrê area.
