Karayılan said, “First of all, on behalf of our headquarters and our movement, I greet all friends with respect and love. During these 3 and a half months, very important results emerged. Of course, these results are very important and valuable for us. This happened thanks to the heroic martyrs, thanks to your sacrifice. We commemorate all the martyrs of the historical resistance in the person of comrades Saristan, Rohat, Bager, Avzem, Özgür, Zemani, Nalîn and Berfîn Rêbaz. We bow respectfully before their memory. We owe them. These heroic epics were written thanks to them. We will take their revenge as a requirement of loyalty to their memories and we will fulfill our promise of victory.”
In the speech broadcast by Guerilla TV, Murat Karayılan also drew attention to the following:
“The Turkish state has been uninterruptedly attacking our movement and our people for 4 years on the basis of the concept of genocide. In this way, he wants to occupy Bashur completely. Especially with the attack on Garê, he wanted to occupy all of Medya Defense Zones in a short time. However, the tactic used against the enemy blocked the enemy’s 2021 plan and failed. The enemy did not succeed. But he has not given up on invasion attacks. He was prepared to some extent, both in terms of politics and diplomacy, and in terms of weapons and power. It is trying to get more support from local forces and the collaborative Kurdish line. It seeks to create technical opportunities for the Iraqi state to remain silent, help themselves, and gain more support from the hegemonic powers.
The enemy has made some such preparations. He also trained his forces accordingly and wanted to do in 2022 what he could not do in 2021. In other words, it aimed to occupy the Medya Defense Zones in a short time, to turn its direction to Rojava, and to successfully complete the concept of genocide in this way. But 3 and a half months have passed, the result so far shows that the enemy was not successful. He failed to execute his plan. A very tough war took place in these 3 and a half months and it still continues. The enemy used all their opportunities. On this basis the war expanded. For example, in Girê Cûdî, Girê FM and Girê Hakkarî, the enemy received heavy blows. Later, he wanted to occupy Girê Amediyê and Çemço. He received the biggest blow in Girê Amediyê.
THE ENEMY GAVE A HUGE LOSS
The Turkish state made every effort to achieve the result, but the resistance of the friends was much stronger. We can say that there has never been such a fierce war in our history, namely the war between us and the Turkish state. In our war history, the Turkish state has never inflicted such great losses in the South. The enemy’s losses are too great. According to the information given by friends, approximately 1700 people have been punished so far.
Again, according to the balance sheet, 72 of our friends were martyred. But we have friends that we have not yet received information about. In other words, we have around 80-90 martyrs in this historical resistance. Of course, we can say that the war is mostly based on technology, as the enemy uses banned weapons and technology at a very high level. Our losses are not very large. This shows that with the tactics we use, it is possible to achieve great results without much loss. It is possible for us to fail the enemy’s technique and get results. If a person does not make mistakes, does not fall short, and acts more professionally, he can completely defeat the enemy. Of course, this is not easy, so it is not an ordinary thing that your friends do right now. This is great courage and sacrifice. Our people and the world are following this war carefully.
Just as a valiant person could fight against 100-150 fighters in history, now the Apoist Fedayeen are doing the same in the areas of Zap, Avaşîn, Girê Cudî, Girê FM, Girê Hakkarî and Girê Amediyê. Heroes in history were mostly men, but now there are male and female heroes. This makes the heroes of the period even stronger. Women play an important role before the eyes of the world in the person of comrades Saristan, Mizgîn, Çiya, Avzem, Viyan, Nalîn, Dîdar and Berfîn. They are pioneers in this resistance. The epic struggle of comrades Bager Gever and Avzem is nothing out of the ordinary and will never be forgotten. These epics were written in Kurdish history with golden letters. Undoubtedly, this is a new date. The future of our people is built on this foundation, that is, on such a historical heritage. It has a very important role and mission.
IF HE CONFUSES THE DEATH, THE AKP-MHP REGIME WILL COLLAPSE
You all take part in this resistance and you know how the enemy mobilizes all his forces. Recently, it has activated its special forces in Çemço and Girê Amediyê. We saw how their special forces were hit. So the enemy is doing everything to win. However, the enemy did not get results. Currently, he has deployed his soldiers in the Zap region as in other regions, but has not been able to complete the occupation. They wanted to occupy the Zap within two weeks and thus complete their plan. So it can be clearly said that the enemy is essentially defeated. Only the enemy does not accept this defeat. Because if he admits defeat, the AKP and MHP regime will collapse. The regime is already on the verge of collapse. Also, if it fails in war, this regime cannot stand.
4 years ago, we said that when the enemy came to Medya Defense Zones, he would not come alone, and that victory would come with him. Victory will be achieved when the enemy is defeated in the Media Defense Zones. That is, the enemy will be defeated in general. We said that if the enemy was defeated in the Zap, the regime would collapse in Ankara as well. We are saying the same things now. If the enemy is completely defeated in this war and admits that “we failed” as he confessed in Garê, he will be completely defeated. This regime will collapse. This will be the holiday of the people of Kurdistan, the people of Turkey and the peoples. This is how the era of democracy and freedom will begin.
This is how the road to the freedom of Kurdistan and the physical freedom of Leader Apo will be opened. For him, this war continues at a very important stage. It seems that the enemy wants to insist on the war so that this does not happen. But we must also insist on resisting it. Because the most important stage has passed. In fact, there are difficulties after that, especially on some fronts, we know that there are more difficulties in some areas. However, if friends develop their creativity with Apoist ways and methods, they can find solutions to all difficulties. If you resist on this basis, you will definitely get results.
THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE THEIRSELF BY SAYING THE ATTACK IS PERFORMED BY THE PKK
As we said, the enemy expanded the battlefields because they could not get any results and were stuck. When this was not a solution, it targeted civilians. Here it is attacking Bashur, Kelar, Çemçemal, Maxmur, Shengal, Shehba and all Rojava, killing civilians. He last attacked the village of Perex on 20 July. 9 Iraqi citizens were martyred, 24 people were seriously injured. Undoubtedly, the enemy aimed something with this attack, but we do not need to open it here. This attack also shows how the enemy is blocked. They want to create a psychological pressure on the people of Iraq and Southern Kurdistan. But the reaction of the Iraqi people to this was very important. In other words, the Iraqi people said, “Enough is enough.” That’s why they took to the streets everywhere and the Iraqi government had to take a stand. So they understood that this would not be the case anymore. They cannot go on like this.
The enemy saw that he could not escape responsibility for this brutal attack. Now they deny it by saying “PKK did it” but everyone knows they did it. This attack got to his feet. They will not be able to save themselves easily. This occupation and genocide policy of the Turkish state is now blocked. But Tayyip Erdogan and Bahceli want to reach a result in the election by gathering the people of Turkey around them with this brutal attack and politics. But at the moment, the helpless will not be able to achieve the result they want.
The resistance currently being carried out in Zap and Metîna in general, especially in the west and east of the Zap, has played a major role in our struggle until today and will continue to do so. All provinces of Bakure Kurdistan, Medya Defense Areas should support more strongly. This is missing. Everyone should participate in this process. On this basis, simultaneous resistance is a call to all Kurdistan youth, Kurdistan women, all Kurdistan people and friendly peoples. It is a call to all socialist and democratic forces, and to everyone who is fighting against AKP and MHP fascism. This is a call to resistance. It is necessary to further enlarge the national and democracy resistance around the Zap, Metina and Avaşîn resistance. We know that this has been emphasized, we hope that this resistance will grow more and more.
THE CORRECT AND THINK ENEMY IS TRYING EVERY WAY
The enemy had developed flying units against the tactics developed by Leader Apo in the 90s. In other words, he wanted to nullify our tactic at that time with the tactic of flying units. Now he wants to get results with banned weapons against our resistance based on expert teams. It seems that they have learned from the past years, they cannot reach a result with a normal war. In addition to chemical weapons, chemical gases were used a lot last year, but they did not get any results. The enemy now wants to destroy the tunnels in this way using more powerful explosives. In other words, friends sometimes behave very confidently, do not take the necessary precautions, and in this sense they experience difficulties. We do not have any criticism about it. Where is the criticism? From time to time, our friends get into a difficult situation as a result of mistakes and deficiencies. For example, the command must give the right leadership under all circumstances. In other words, anyone can command in easy situations, but the important thing is to lead in difficult situations. Discuss with your comrades, unite in a collective spirit, on the basis of the Apoist spirit. Execute a team and collective style. This is how you can answer questions. Pioneers must play such a role in these difficult times. Where there is emptiness, where there is martyrdom, where problems arise, every friend should take responsibility like a commander.
Our friends are now in the resistance zones, all at the command level. They are Apoist militants with initiative. In other words, every friend must be selfless so that there is no vacuum in the administration. This is done with responsibility, discipline, and communal spirit. It is not by destroying each other, but by completing each other. Of course, a person can approach in a reactive manner in difficult conditions, that is, they may experience difficulties. At such times, the important thing is for everyone to understand each other, not to bore each other, and to complement each other. This is a very important issue. In other words, if friends act together selflessly with the spirit of Apo, they can overcome all kinds of difficulties. Your friends should not forget this.
WE HAVE TO RISE THE HISTORICAL RESISTANCE
Our war today has reached a very important stage. At this stage, it is very important to be responsible, to develop self-sacrifice, to be calm and to make the right decision. It should be based on tactics. That is, it is necessary to implement and execute tactics. It should not be wasted. This should always be taken care of. But one of our tactics is to maintain our strength. Let’s keep our strength and defeat the enemy. Let’s spare the enemy. There are places where we should take risks, but there are also places where we should not take any risks. Sacrifices can be made, we can walk for days, we can be hungry and thirsty for days, but we must not risk our strength. Every comrade must act responsibly to protect his friend. Sacrifices must be made for success. This is how we can maintain our strength.
In this way we have to raise the historical resistance. Each friend must approach this important stage of the battle responsibly and ensure an even stronger participation. This process is a very important one. If sacrifices are made and responsibility is taken in this process, great results will emerge. Each friend needs to approach it with dedication and responsibility. The sacrifices that friends have made so far are enormous. However, the same style should be developed at this stage as well. Friends who have made this heroism and sacrifice so far can make more heroism and great sacrifices from now on. Every militant who makes this effort is worthy of victory. In order to respond to our martyrs, to answer the hopes of Rêber Apo, to respond to the hopes of the mothers of Kurdistan, the people of Kurdistan and the peoples of the region, we are facing a historical test in this process. If we pass this test, then the way to great success and great victory will be opened. We all have a responsibility in this regard and we believe that necessary roles will be played at this important stage.
