NEWS CENTER – Today is the third anniversary of the martyrdom of a guerrilla of the Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units (Y.R.K) named Hêmin Qemeri. Hemin Qameri (Shervan Welat) fought heroically in an area of Urmia province in 2019 and fought with the military forces of the regime until the moment of martyrdom and joined the caravan of martyrs of Kurdistan.
Mass and extensive attacks by the invaders in different regions of Kurdistan continue against the people and their achievements. In Eastern Kurdistan, although the defense units of Eastern Kurdistan are in a state of defense, they have been attacked many times by the forces of the occupying regime of Iran and its affiliated groups. But what is interesting is that such attacks never went unanswered.
In 2019, in the Qasimlu valley between the cities of Urmiye and Seno, the forces of the occupying regime of Iran began extensive operations against the YRK guerrillas, and as a result, a war broke out between the occupying forces. regime forces and defense units of Eastern Kurdistan. As a result of this conflict, one of the YRK guerrillas named Hêmin Qemeri, with the organizational code of Şervan Welat, joined the martyrs’ caravan after resisting and fighting heroically.
The Press Center of the Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units issued a statement regarding the martyrdom of the guerrilla Şervan Valat and stated that Comrade Şervan was a true example of a dedicated, hardworking freedom fighter who tirelessly and without interruption performed his revolutionary duties in the best possible way. He had a personality with high revolutionary moral standards.
