BEHDINAN – HSM Headquarters Command said in a written statement, “On July 26, Martyr Serdem and Martyr Sarya revenge teams carried out a successful coordinated action in the Mamreşo area of Avaşîn with the ambush tactic.”
The statement continued:
“Taking the enemy unit under control and shooting it from two arms in a hawk-like manner, going over the enemy corpses and confiscating 1 MPT-55 infantry weapon, 3 AK-47 (Kalashnikov) infantry weapons, 1 radio device, 1 bayonet and 2 military helmets and liquidating 7 enemy forces has been a fruitful action. In the Mamreşo Resistance Area, it is important that the new era guerrilla tactics were professionally applied by the mobile revenge teams and the enemy was dealt a crushing blow when it least expected it.
The realization of this action for the revenge of our martyrs who were massacred with chemical weapons in the Mamreşo Resistance Fortress was the practicalization of our commitment to our promise to our martyrs and being worthy of their memories. In this sense, it was a very appropriate and meaningful message. Likewise, the fact that 3 occupying Turkish soldiers were punished in this action, as well as 4 enemy collaborator contras who preferred dishonor and betrayal of their people, was a strong response to show that betrayal will never be left unpunished in Kurdistan.
This action has proven once again how productive the correct application and creative practice of the mobile team fighting style is in all parts of Kurdistan and especially in the Avaşîn area. We congratulate all the commanders and warriors in Avaşîn province, especially the Martyr Serdem and Martyr Sarya mobile teams, for their performance and professionalism. We greet all our friends who took part in the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign and fought with the Apoist spirit of self-sacrifice with the most revolutionary feelings and wish them continued success.”
