BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center shared the following details about the guerrilla actions and the attacks of the occupying Turkish soldiers in the Medya Defense Zones:
“Despite all the difficult conditions, our armed forces are putting up unprecedented resistance to protect the existence and freedom of the Kurdish people. The occupying Turkish army cannot break the resistance of our armed forces. For this reason, they continue to attack with the most brutal methods, use banned chemical weapons and commit war crimes day after day, trampling on all human values. More than a thousand banned chemical weapons, thermobaric bombs, tactical nuclear bombs and phosphorus bombs have been used each day in the invasion attacks that have unfolded since April 14.
The international hegemonic powers remain silent because of their interests and there are too few reactions from the public and relevant institutions. The war crimes of the Turkish army, which we have documented and publicly proven, are crystal clear. We believe that everyone with conscience and responsibility should show the necessary response now. The fascist AKP-MHP regime is committing these war crimes on behalf of the peoples of Turkey, leaving them all under a stigma. For this reason, Turkish society should react the most and oppose it.
The occupying Turkish army bombed the resistance areas 22 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, 18 times with attack helicopters and dozens of times with tanks and heavy weapons. At the same time, the Turkish occupying army used phosphorus bombs on the combat positions in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area.
Just as the guerrillas of the freedom of Kurdistan have so far selflessly defended themselves against all invasion attacks, from now on they will defend themselves even more with the belief in absolute victory. The guerrillas of freedom, using their high hitting power and new era guerrilla tactics, will crown this resistance with their convincing style with a decisive victory. As a result of the actions carried out under the direction of our mobile teams; 1 Skorsky helicopter was shot down, 1 occupier was punished, 3 Mobesse camera systems and 1 drone were also destroyed.
The details of the actions performed and the attacks performed are as follows;
As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagros in the Xakurke region;
- On August 20 at 06:15, two Mobesse camera systems placed by the occupiers in the Şêxzade region of Xakurkê were hit by our mobile teams and destroyed. After the action, the drones had to leave the area after attacks by our forces, which also disrupted the drones flying over the area.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On August 18, occupying Turkish soldiers advanced from Girê Çarçel, where KDP forces were stationed in the Metîna region, to the Şehid Piling combat positions in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area, where our troops were stationed. These occupiers, who came from the KDP side and wanted to settle in the area, were attacked and hit by our mobile teams. After the action, the invaders bombed this area with fighter planes. The invaders who were hit withdrew from the Şehid Piling area.
- On August 19 at 9:35 p.m., a helicopter movement took place in the Girê Amediyê resistance area. The Skorsky helicopter, which wanted to drop the invaders around the Şehid Gelhat fighting positions, was targeted by our mobile teams at close range and hit badly. It was found that the Skorsky helicopter, which was trying to fly towards the Bakur Kurdistan border without being able to land, crashed near the Girê outpost in Çelê district and was completely destroyed by hours of burning.
- On August 20 at 11:20 a.m., the invaders who wanted to move towards the fighting positions in the Girê Cudî resistance area were hit by a sabotage tactic.
- At 13:00 on August 20, the occupiers around the war positions in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were fired upon using sniper tactics and 1 occupier was punished. After the action, 1 drone that was flying over the resistance area was destroyed by our YJA Star mobile teams.
- On August 20th at 19:00, 1 Mobesse camera system that the occupiers had placed in the Girê Cûdî resistance area was destroyed by our mobile teams.
- At 9:30 p.m. on August 20, the invaders were targeted and hit in the Girê Cûdî resistance area.
- At 06:00 on August 21, the invaders in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were hit with individual weapons and hand grenades.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons;
- On August 19, the Şehid Seyîdxan combat positions in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area were bombed four times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons.
- On August 20, combat positions in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area were bombed ten times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons attached to drones. At the same time, the combat positions were bombed three times with phosphorus bombs.
- On August 20, combat positions in the Karker and Girê Amediyê resistance areas were bombed five times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with tanks, heavy weapons and helicopters;
- On August 20, the resistance areas of Girê Amediye, Saca and Kurojahro were bombed 18 times by helicopter gunships.
- On August 20, the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area was bombed dozens of times with tanks and heavy weapons.”
