“The resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla against the invaders all over our country is growing day by day. The colonialist Turkish state’s policy of exterminating our people was broken thanks to this epic resistance that developed. Undoubtedly, Leader Apo’s historical resistance is decisive in breaking these genocidal policies and bringing the enemy to the brink of defeat. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the militants of Leader Apo, is waging a relentless struggle both to be worthy of our Leader’s historic resistance and to fulfill its responsibilities. This struggle, developed with great effort and will, is undoubtedly created at the expense of martyrdoms. Our comrades Jiyan, Argeş and Çekdar also pioneered this struggle in the Wan area within the intense war practice developed in Bakurê Kurdistan. All three of our comrades, who fought selflessly in the conflict with the enemy on July 6, 2022, took a heroic stance and became martyrs. Our people’s martyrdom by fighting in the freedom struggle makes this martyrdom of our comrades meaningful, and instructs our people and our comrades to increase the resistance developed against the enemy and to be crowned with victory. We promise that we will definitely crown our holy cause of freedom with victory by fighting uninterruptedly under the command of the martyrs and in the line of the martyrs. We reiterate the promise we made to all our martyrs in the person of our comrades Jiyan, Argeş and Çekdar, and we state that we will definitely realize the goals and dreams of our martyrs. JIYAN ÇEKDAR
Our comrade Jiyan was born in Mersin as a member of a family originally from Dihê. Our comrade Jiyan was brought up as an honorable Kurdish woman in an environment of patriotic values. Our comrade Jiyan, who grew up with this awareness, recognized our Leader and our movement in her childhood. She insisted on her Kurdish identity by giving up her schools, which were centers of assimilation of the enemy. Comrade Jiyan, who participated in youth activities for a while, had the opportunity to get to know himself better. Our comrade Jiyan, who does not accept a slavish and ordinary life in Turkish metropolises, decided to join the guerrilla ranks in 2014, which is the name of a return to essence.
In the process of joining the guerrilla ranks, heavy attacks against the gains of our people all over our country caused our comrade Jiyan to develop himself militarily for the first time. On this basis, she received military specialty training and became a competent YJA Star guerrilla. As soon as she finished her training, she moved to the Zap area, where the hot war took place, and had the opportunity to practice what she learned in the training. By taking part in many actions against the invasion attacks of the Turkish army, it dealt heavy blows to the invaders. With every bullet she fired, she sought to avenge all women from the masculine dominant mentality of thousands of years. Our comrade Jiyan gained great military experience and quickly became a commander. Our comrade Jiyan, who has reached a certain competence in the military sense, also wanted to develop ideologically and made a great effort in this direction. Our comrade Jiyan, who knew the pioneering mission and value given to women in the Apoist ideology from her childhood, has made an effort to bring her to a level worthy of Leader Apo, who organizes herself and fights on this basis. Our comrade Jiyan, who joined the free life in the mountains, returned to his essence with the Women’s Liberation Ideology. Expressing that getting to know Leader Apo and the PKK has brought him great gains, Comrade Jiyan has taken a stable and determined stance for this cause. From Besês to Azimes, from Beritans to Zilans, from Delals to Nûjins, she knew how to represent the free women’s line properly, and as a commander she became the continuation of this legacy. Educating and equipping himself with such a glorious legacy, our comrade Jiyan moved to the Bakur area, which is the dream of every guerrilla. Our comrade Jiyan, who understood the historical mission of the Bakur guerrilla well, started her practice in the Wan field by establishing warm and sincere ties with his comrades. Our comrade Jiyan, aiming to inflict great blows on the enemy when they least expect it, has made an effort to achieve this. Our comrade Jiyan, who adapted to the field early with his pioneering, self-sacrificing and sincere participation, successfully carried out her duties by not failing the confidence placed in him with his performance until the moment of her martyrdom. ARGES BOTAN
Our comrade Argeş was born and grew up in Wan, which is known for its thousands of years of ancient culture. Our city of Wan, which was a dominant center in our struggle for freedom, has rekindled hopes of freedom once our movement has settled in the region, and has not united around our movement by sacrificing thousands of its precious children for this cause. Coming from such a strong social structure, our comrade Argeş did not remain indifferent to the problem of existence and freedom of our oppressed and ancient people. Our comrade Argeş, who knows the role and mission of the youth in society, organized and educated himself according to this historical mission. Understanding that in a country like Kurdistan, freedom cannot be won without an armed struggle and that the country cannot be liberated from the invaders, our comrade Argeş joined the guerrilla ranks in Wan in 2014.
Our comrade Argeş, who started his practice after receiving his basic education in Wan, had the chance to engage in guerrilla activities in his own region. Our comrade Argeş, who adopted the morals and culture of our party early, adapted without any difficulty. With his determined and determined stance, he gained the trust of his comrades to stay and practice in Bakurê Kurdistan. He proved this trust with his persistent and self-sacrificing participation in every work, and was able to maintain it until the moment of his martyrdom. Our comrade Argeş, who went through tough practices during an intense and tough struggle, trained himself with the philosophy of Leader Apo. He knew how to overcome all difficulties by bringing them to consciousness. Adhering to the memories of each of his comrades who were martyred alongside him, he enlarged his participation and turned the martyrdom into a justification for revenge. He has always been in search of “how we can strike a blow” against the genocidal enemy. He has become one of our indispensable companions in his field by carrying out many different studies duly and successfully. Our comrade Argeş, a promising candidate for commander, insisted on staying in Bakurê Kurdistan and fighting against the suggestions of his comrades to send him to the Medya Defense Zones many times in order to better train him and become a successful commander. Our comrade Argeş, who is deeply connected to the PKK comradeship, not only took a share from the truth, but also became one of our most valuable truths with his self-sacrificing stance, based on our Leader’s motto “To be a comrade’s comrade is to take a share of the truth”. He glorified comradeship with the value he gave to his comrades. Our comrade Argeş, who has a unique effort to expand our struggle.

ÇEKDAR CÎLO
Our comrade Çekdar was born in Payizava, Wan, in a patriotic family of the Alan tribe. Our comrade Çekdar met our movement in his childhood due to his family being patriotic. Our comrade Çekdar witnessed the policies of the fascist regime closely after his father was tried in the PKK case. He became one of our comrades who, like thousands of Kurdish children, had to grow up without a homeland, father and mother for the sake of the cause they believed in. This situation has been effective in shaping the character of our comrade Çekdar. It has grown with each passing day, feeling hatred and anger against the invading and genocidal state. Our comrade Çekdar, who was looking for ways of a meaningful struggle, realized at an early age that the genocidal Turkish state’s policies against the Kurds should be held to account. When he came to his youth, his self-confidence increased and he started to practice to call our people to account for the massacres. Our comrade Çekdar, who comes from a family that participated in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and was martyred, continued the same tradition and decided to join the sacred cause of freedom. Our comrade Çekdar, who organized himself on this basis, was impressed by his uncle’s joining the guerrilla ranks and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2015.
Our comrade Çekdar went to the Medya Defense Zones, witnessed the PKK life and comradeship that he had heard in his childhood heroic stories, and adapted early. Since our comrade Çekdar came from a resistance culture, he further reinforced this in our ranks and succeeded in integrating it with the Apoist will. It has participated in a carefree and inconsiderate manner in order to capture the ideological, philosophical and military integrity required for hundreds of years of exploitation and massacres to be held to account. He devoted himself to be a self-sacrificing militant of Leader Apo and displayed a struggle worthy of the Apoist militant standards. Pure, clean and untainted by the system, our comrade Çekdar has been a strong defender of moral and political values of society without difficulty. He has revealed a revolutionary stance that always manages to laugh and never despair in the face of the difficulties he has experienced. He went to military academies to become a professional Democratic Modernity Guerrilla, and with his performance he improved himself in accordance with the tactical framework of the new era. Our comrade Çekdar, who no longer sees any obstacles for the Bakur guerrilla, convinced his comrades with his participation, stance and talent, gained confidence and went to Bakure Kurdistan. He was born again and took up Wan, the land where he grew up, this time as a guerrilla. But there is a difference between mountains. Our comrade Çekdar is now a more organized, conscious and professional guerrilla in the military sense. He is a self-sacrificing militant in the freedom struggle of his people. In this framework, he succeeded in establishing a bond with his comrades in the field in a short time. With his energetic and enthusiastic nature, he also instilled morale and excitement in his comrades. Our comrade Çekdar has succeeded in leaving a mark in our struggle with his willing and voluntary participation in every work.
We express our condolences to the valuable families of our comrades Jiyan, Argeş and Çekdar, the creators of free life, and to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, stating that we will never break with the line of martyrs and their reality, and promise that we will definitely achieve the goals of our martyrs.”
