BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center has announced that 15 occupiers have been punished during ongoing guerrilla actions in the resistance areas of Xabûr, Zap and Metîna. In addition, the HPG publishes the identity of the fallen guerrilla Sehrhed.
The HPG statement states:
“The effective actions of our armed forces, which dealt a heavy blow to the occupiers with their historical resistance and immobilized the occupiers, continue.
Our armed forces successfully implement new era guerrilla tactics in these operations led by our mobile teams. Fifteen occupiers were punished as a result of the actions of our armed forces, which fought with a spirit of sacrifice and dealt heavy blows to the occupiers in the western Zap and Metina areas. Our comrade Serhed Zîlan, who was injured after inflicting severe beatings on the occupiers in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area in the Metîna area, fell Şehid.
The Turkish occupying army bombed the fighting positions in the resistance areas twice with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, four times with warplanes, 36 attack helicopters and dozens of times with howitzers and heavy weapons.
The details of the actions performed and the attacks performed are as follows;
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On July 26, between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., the occupiers who were on the move in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area were brought under control by our mobile teams and fired upon. As a result of the series of actions carried out by our armed forces using individual weapons and assassination tactics, at least 8 occupiers were punished.
Led by our comrade Serhed Zîlan, the occupiers were again attacked at 17:30 using an infiltration tactic. Our forces attacked the enemy with hand grenades and individual weapons, punished 4 other occupiers and walked over their corpses. During the intense clashes, our comrade Serhed, who led the action and dealt heavy blows to the enemy, was seriously injured. Despite the interventions, our comrade Serhed Zîlan, the brave militant Rêber Apos and our Fedai commander joined our immortal heroes.

The PKK is a people caught in the grip of genocide that has recreated itself with Rêber Apo’s philosophy and appeared on the stage of history. The oppressed Kurdish people, pushed to the point of self-denial, found their true identity with the wave of resistance that the PKK started in the dungeons of Amed, which quickly developed and spread to four parts of Kurdistan. Today, our freedom struggle of Kurdistan, which has become a representation of the hope for freedom of oppressed peoples around the world, is a reflection of the efforts of our immortal fallen who selflessly fought and helped create this sacred tradition.
This noble tradition created by the PKK created an apoist generation of youth who embraced their honor and focused on the goal of freedom by igniting the fire of resistance. Our comrade Serhed grew up in this tradition and became one of our activists who selflessly lived and fought to realize our people’s dreams of freedom. Our comrade was born and raised in the rebellious city of Maku in eastern Kurdistan. Our comrade, who grew up in a family that earns a living and adheres to the millennia-old sacred values of our people, had the chance to get to know the PKK at an early age. Our comrade who witnessed the oppression and attacks of the colonial states on our people in Kurdistan, never accepted this situation as honorable Kurdish youth and started to explore the possibilities of struggle. He had the opportunity to get to know the philosophy of the PKK and Rêber Apos better, and he became aware that the freedom of our people can only be achieved with the victory of the guerrilla struggle.
Our comrade, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2016, did his first guerrilla practice by moving to the Heftanin area after completing his new fighter training. Our comrade, who in a short time felt connected to the mountains of Kurdistan with great passion, immediately made an appearance with his work personality and started life with great enthusiasm. Constantly striving to improve, our comrade has placed great emphasis on learning the philosophy of Rêber Apo from the lives of our holy fallen who are their best practitioners. Our comrade Serhed, who studied the fallen and took great pains to educate his comrades, made great progress. our comrade, based on self-development in both the military and ideological spheres, made quick strides in the command line of the new era by specializing in guerrilla tactics. Our comrade, who moved to the Metîna field with his guerrilla experience, led his comrades as a young commander and adopted an exemplary attitude.
He took his place at the forefront during the occupying Turkish state’s attacks on the Metîna area, following the line of resistance created by the heroes of Zendura, led by our comrade Hêjar. Our comrade Serhed, who took part in many actions and fought relentlessly against the occupiers, became the embodiment of self-sacrifice and devotion. Comrade Serhed, one of the pioneers who took his place on the front line and answered the invaders during the occupying operation launched by the colonial Turkish state on April 14. Who turned his anger at the occupiers into effective actions by organizing them. Comrade Serhed played a pioneering role in organizing the resistance in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area and conducting many effective actions.
We express our condolences to all the patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the precious family of our comrade Serhed, who fought heroically and became an exemplary fighter of the self-sacrifice line, and we promise once again that we will crown our struggle with victory by imitating the self-sacrificing one spirit of our comrade.

- On August 1st at 06:00 the occupiers in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were fired upon using sniper tactics and 1 occupier was punished.

- On July 31, the resistance areas of Çemço and Sîda were bombed four times by warplanes.
- On July 31, the resistance areas of Kurojahro, Girê Hakkarî and Girê Cûdî were bombed 36 times by helicopter gunships.
- On July 31, the Girê Amediye and Çemço resistance areas were bombed dozens of times with heavy weapons.”
