NEWS CENTER – From the diary of Sehid Jiyan Amargî
Two hearts that gave life in the middle of the war in the mountains of Botan… Two doctors who are devoted to their country with love and a self-sacrificing passion for their country’s cause of freedom. Dr. Bêrîtan Tanya Fecir and Dr. Bawer Med.
A spark first falls into the heart. It envelops your every cell with fires. And it invites you to the Ceng Square with all its burning. You become so integrated that now you become the battle. And you become the name of life in battle. You become the name of the free human life knitted in the Ceng square. With the owner of these lives, Bêrîtan, in the Zagros mountains, Dr. I met Bawer in the Botan mountains. Like all their comrades, the aim of the doctors, who try to offer life while fighting in the most intense moments of the war, is a free country and free humanity. The health of their comrades who fought on the way to this life is also very important to them. And they live with meaning. This is how I can describe the two doctor revolutionaries who healed their comrades on the hot battlefields for years.
‘I REALIZED MY MOM AND MY OWN DREAM’
Bêrîtan, who set his heart on the Kurdistan cause at a very young age and carried out activities in Istanbul, is originally from Bitlis. His family immigrated to Istanbul due to the economic reasons created by the Turkish state’s policies in Kurdistan to “deliver with hunger” and Bêrîtan grew up with a longing for his country.
Bêrîtan, who lived through racism where he grew up, understood that the country he grew up in never accepted him. When he realized that his high school struggle against the colonialism, assimilation, extermination and denial policies in Kurdistan was insufficient, he joined the guerrilla ranks, which is a more active field of struggle, in 2008. Shortly after joining, he received medical training and fought in the areas where the war was most intense. Stating that his mother always dreamed of him as a doctor, Bêrîtan said, “I both realized my mother’s dream and also realized my dream of being a warrior and revolutionary. He worked as a guerrilla for years in Kandil, Xakurkê, Cîlo, Çarçela, Avaşîn and Zap, gained many war and life experiences, and also took care of the health status of his comrades who were wounded and sick in the war.
DOING IT WITH LOVE AND GRATITUDE
Understanding general health, Dr. The main area that Bêrîtan dominates is the dental department. His comrades, who suffered from toothache for years in Botan, thank Bêrîtan with the respect, love and gratitude they have for him, as they know that nothing can repay Bêrîtan after his teeth are treated.
BAWER MED IS FAITHFUL TO EVERY WORD I SPEAK
Born and raised in Gever, where patriotism flourished the most, Bawer Med joined the guerrilla ranks, influenced by the revolution that took place in Rojava in 2014. Explaining that he set out for Kobanê but saw himself in the Zagros mountains, Bawer said, “My aim was to fight for the Kurdistan cause. In those days, the war was angry in Kobanê, the resistance was high there and I wanted to go there. Today, wherever such a situation occurs in Kurdistan or even in the Middle East, I will want to go there again. Every guerrilla lives and fights with this thought,” he said.
These words alone are enough to describe his revolutionary personality. True to every word he uttered, Dr. Bawer transferred to Avaşîn Hospital immediately after receiving new warrior training in the Zagros mountains.
HE TREATED DOZENS OF INJURED
Dropping out of his senior year of high school, Bawer never thought he would one day become a doctor. He has always been a beloved comrade doctor in terms of his participation in life, as he considered the task given to him in the ranks of the revolution sacred. Like his colleague Bêrîtan, he moved to the Botan field in 2017 after leaving the Zagros. Bawer, who is a practicing doctor specializing in general health, has treated dozens of injured comrades since the year he came, and has been a cure for his sick comrade. He was not only limited to these, but also duly fulfilled many duties in the field. He also participated in activism activities when necessary.
THEY LIVE WHEN LIVING
What has been written is a very short summary of the lives of both revolutionary doctors. Both doctors, who have been fighting in the Botan Mountains for many years, and who have healed their comrades who were sick and injured in the war, are proud and proud of performing their duty as a doctor in mountain conditions with great difficulty, and they are also making efforts to eliminate the existing inadequacies. The meaning of life for them is to offer a more meaningful, beautiful and healthy life. While both doctors now live in the Botan Mountains with this awareness, they are also in search of survival.
