“To the press and the public
The attacks of the genocidal and fascist Turkish state, which are increasing every day, continue on the region. Every day, our civilians are martyred and injured in these attacks which are carried out with the aim of genocide. The most recent example is the massacre that the Turkish army carried out in Til Rifat. We, as the Afrin Liberation Forces, will not let these invaders’ attacks go unanswered. Against the attacks of the occupying Turkish army, response activities were carried out in the context of legal protection between the 18th and 27th of August. In this context;
- On August 18, two activities were carried out in Shera and Mar districts. Near the village of Meryemîn in the Shera district, as a result of the action, 2 invading gangs were killed and 2 gangs were injured. As a result of Marê’s action, 3 gang members were killed and 2 were injured.
- On August 21, a gang member was killed as a result of an action in Marê line.
- On the 22nd of August in Ezaze, a point of the invaders was targeted. As a result of this action, 3 soldiers of the occupying Turkish army were injured.
- On August 24, two effective actions were carried out in Ezaz and Bab. 2 gang members were killed and 4 gang members were injured in the Azaz action. As a result of the action that took place in Bab area, 3 soldiers of the occupying Turkish army were killed and 4 soldiers were injured.
- On the 27th of August, a gang member was killed as a result of an action in Marê line.
In these activities, 3 soldiers and 9 gangs were killed, 7 soldiers and 8 gangs were injured. Against the attacks of the terrorist Turkish state, our response activities will continue step by step.”
