NEWS CENTER – Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê Initiative stated that they celebrated the 15 August Resurrection Day by asking the fascists to account, and announced the results of 4 different actions it organized in Mersin, Istanbul and Sakarya.
In the statement, which said, “The fire we have lit in them will illuminate the whole of Kurdistan,” the following was conveyed regarding the results of the action:
- On August 9, in Mersin-Mezitli district, our units set fire to a market with 5 luxury vehicles belonging to the AKP fascists, rendering it unusable.
- On 10 August, our units carried out an action against fascist guards with hand-made explosives in Mersin-Bozyazıcı, and 2 of the guards were injured.
- On August 11, in Istanbul-Şile, our units shot down an official police team, which they had been following for a long time, at around 23.30 in the Ağya village of Şile, with two-armed individual weapons and hand-made explosives. Our initiative has confirmed that one of the police officers inside the vehicle was seriously injured by bullets. After the action, our units withdrew from the action point in coordination.
- On August 11, 1 white goods warehouse and 2 luxury vehicles belonging to the fascist Murat Şen, who was the head of the Ülkü Ocakları, residing in the Arifiye district of Sakarya, were set on fire and rendered unusable by our units.
Celebrating the August 15 Resurrection Day of the patriotic Kurdish people and their friends, the Initiative promised to expand the struggle in memory of the martyrs and gave the message: “The invaders will lose, the women will win, the youth will win, the peoples of Kurdistan will win”.
