NEWS CENTER – The YPG Press Office shared a statement on the martyrdom of Heval Rûbar Erzîncan:
“To the press and the public;
The revolution of Rojava, which wrote its name on the pages of human history with heavy costs, became the revolution of the entire Kurdistan and the world with its heavy battles, with the epics of its heroes. During these ten years of the revolution, thousands of young Kurds joined the ranks of the freedom revolution and sacrificed their lives against the gangs and invaders. The whole world witnessed the bravery of YPJ-YPG fighters. He witnessed the heroism of Arin, Ilan and Gelhat. Every YPG fighter and commander, without hesitation, with great courage did not allow the gang and occupation forces to reach out to the people of Rojava and North and East Syria. Little by little, these holy lands were liberated from Daesh gangs.
One of these heroes was our comrade Rubar Erzincan. Comrade Rübar, who had formed his heart and mind with the ideas and philosophy of Leader APO’s democratic nation, moved from North Kurdistan to Rojava Kurdistan in the most critical moments of the Rojava war and defended the people of the region against gang forces. Comrade Rubar entered the hearts of the people and his comrades with his humility and dedication. It showed the occupying and fascist forces that the people of Kurdistan have removed the boundaries of occupation in their minds and hearts and have become one heart and one spirit.
In the last years of his struggle, our friend Rübar was diagnosed with cancer and according to the conditions of the revolution, he was receiving treatment as well as carrying out his work. Although his illness was very serious, Rübar’s friend participated in the work and activities of the revolution with the same enthusiasm and morale, with even stronger determination. In this way, our friend Rübar joined the ranks of the martyrs on June 23.
The life and struggle of our comrade Rübar and the heroism of thousands of our martyrs give us the command to raise the fight of the revolutionary people. We and our people must defend our country and the achievements of the revolution side by side against the threats of the enemy, against the brutal attacks of the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries. Let us be worthy of the martyrs with this attitude and give a free and peaceful future to the people of the region.
