Why Revolutionary People’s War?
We all know that the basic thing that makes a human being is a strong ability to think. The ability to think brings with it the ability to perceive, understand, interpret, develop right and wrong. Distinguishing injustices, which are another version of the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and distinguishing vital injustices, which are even more specific, can be provided by all living beings. Vital injustices develop a natural resistance in the living world, that is, the reflex of defending one’s own life. It is not necessary to think too much about this, because existence, preservation of existence is the truth of life. The fact that even the states, which are the main usurpers of human life, say that the most fundamental right is the right to life, are accepted by societies because they know that this right is protected by politics. In other words, if we look at the issue of preserving one’s life and society in a raw way, it does not depend on a decision a person will make by thinking about whether to live or not. If a person has begun to think about whether I should protect myself or carry out my self-defense, it only means that one’s thinking ability has become distorted and is set on a path that is contrary to the essence of vitality. In this case, hesitation in self-defense is the criterion for achieving the etatist mentality. Can you give an example of a creature that does not react when its life is in danger? Or a living example in your own community which does not participate in self-defense activities. Only the side that wants to destroy can and will, while the other side is defenseless.
The act of attack aims to destroy in some way. The only thing you can do in the face of an attack is to defend yourself. When under constant attack, remaining in a position of self-protection becomes insufficient. After a while, the oppressed on the aggressor’s side becomes oppressed on the attacked side, the oppressed becomes exhausted, breaks down psychologically, wears out, as a result, either disappears again or surrenders to annihilation, gives up. This amounts to not defending the right to life. If there is a continuous attack, it naturally needs a counter-attack to defend itself. If mutual attacks develop in the sense of the state mentality, one speaks of a power struggle. No, people protect their own existence, maintain their sociality, protect their cultural truths, If they develop on the basis of eliminating all kinds of oppression, the name of this counterattack is revolutionary war. Repressive attacks are of a state nature and even if apparently only the individual is to be targeted, even if people are openly targeted, the aim is to throw humanity under the yoke of power, enslave it, weaken it, if not physically destroy it, because it sees itself as an obstacle. The state attack never means only the destruction of the individual, the group of the individual is always included in it. Against the attacks of the states on the humanity only the organized resistance or war of the people can be successful. To react to the attacks on the peoples as a human community is also a natural reflex of the human community. Organized stance of the people against oppression,
Let us now as Kurdish people answer the question of why the people’s revolutionary war by asking questions.
Is our national existence as a Kurdish people accepted?
Can we speak our language?
Can we live our culture?
Can we process and learn our history?
Were we not subjected to the most severe assimilation in order to be Turkified?
Have we not been made afraid to say that we are Kurds or that we are ashamed to be Kurds?
Have not our underground and above-ground riches been completely plundered?
Have they not taken away our mines, oil, water, soil, forest, flour, bread, whatever we have?
Are we not condemned to lack of identity, lack of will, lack of education, poverty, hunger and misery?
When we resisted this situation by not accepting it, were we not massacred, tortured, burned in our homes, were we not exiled, were we not imprisoned in dungeons?
Well, isn’t that the purpose of the colonial fascist Turkish state, to do all this to deny our existence?
Is this then not a war of existence that must be waged in order not to perish?
If so, is it not legitimate and obligatory?
In conclusion, isn’t it against human nature to think, “should we still exist or accept extinction?” Let us ask one more question.
The first and most concrete task of all Kurdish and libertarian peoples in the revolutionary people’s war; is to firmly believe in the natural responsibility to preserve its existence and secure its freedom, and not to hesitate to fight for it.
While the meaning of the word terrorism in its first appearance 150 years ago was state violence against the people, terrorism originally meant state attacks. From history to the present, peoples have been subjected to this terrorism and have rebelled because they know that its acceptance will bring the end of humanity. In Bakur Kurdistan, the word terror was deliberately distorted. The fascist Turkish state played all kinds of games to terrorize the defense and the attacks that individuals had developed to protect themselves. Our people should make it their first duty to know that the Turkish state is a terrorist and to raise awareness of special and psychological warfare. The most basic duty of our people is not to give up, not to surrender, not to retreat and not to die against Turkish state terrorism. Neither Nazi Germany nor Mussolini Italy, whose examples were given in the world, nor Stalin’s Russia was as fascist as Erdogan’s Turkey. The first duty of the people in the People’s Revolutionary War is to be clear in the consciousness of self-defense against this fascism. It is the task to be sure that this aggression will destroy all societies, not to become happy with the aim of standing by and believing that they can stay in their corner, being supported by this state terror and not endangering their humanity.
The first task is to realize the need for the People’s Revolutionary War.
