NEWS CENTER – Young people always lead the society and determine its future. Young people led the Rojava Revolution on July 19. The revolution that today shines like a spark of fire and gives hope to all humanity was the work and blood of thousands of young people. On this basis, we spoke with Rêber Gulo, who led the process during his youth.In his speech, Rêber Gulo talked about the personality of the great commander of the youth Martyr Baran Mawa and said; “The spirit of friend Baran was the spirit of youth, he was a servant. As I was older than him, I could carry more things than him, but friend Baran was not allowed. He looked at us like a guest and valued us very much. He always carried heavy loads. on his shoulder. There were dozens of friends there, but the attitude of friend Baran was different, he was a dedicated, humble and knowledgeable friend.”
Rêber Gulo, who currently holds a position in the Relations of the Internal Security Forces of North-East Syria, expressed his speech as follows;
“My name is Rêber Gulo, I am in the Internal Security Forces of North-Eastern Syria, and before that I worked for the youth and the YPG for several years. The work of the youth cannot be done only since the beginning of the revolution. the same thing is valid for the Rojava revolution, the Rojava revolution has started since the 80s. That is, the foundation of the Rojava revolution through the organization of the youth has been started since the 80s. It continued without a break in 2004. Since after that process, the BAIS Regime was creating discord between the Kurdish and Arab communities, therefore it increased the conflicts between the peoples. For example, so that young people don’t rebel and celebrate Newroz, the game of Football is developed. At the same time, they wanted to create sensitivities among the people through these ways. That’s why the incident that happened in 2004 It happened to us all in Qamishlo or witnessed it. With this massacre, they wanted to put everyone in the service of the BAIS Regime system.”
“THE BAIS REGIME WAS AFRAID OF YOUTH’S NAME”
“The people also suffered a lot from this massacre, that’s why the government responded. In 2004, people from Qamishlo to Derik, Kobanê to Afrin stood up against the Regime. At that time, the work of the youth, especially on was stopped. The youth formed a unit within themselves and took out their cadres, for whatever reason, when the task was called, the youth led it and led it. At that time, the youth group was also formed, the first group that was formed was called it was the Roj Group, under this name young people organized themselves everywhere. However, the Regime did not tolerate this, they arrested many young people, especially in Qamishlo and Hasakeh, they tortured them, I remember some young people who were arrested at that time, left the prisons of the Regime after 2011. The youth work was carried out regularly until 2008 and 2009, but at that time the arrest of youth cadres increased. The Regime did not accept the name of the youth They immediately arrested them it can suppress the youth, because they know very well that it may be able to stop everyone and silence them, but it cannot stop the youth. They always wanted to develop their agents among the youth. They never accepted that the Kurdish youth would join the youth from other nations, especially the Turkish youth.”
‘ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WERE MEMBERS OF YPG AND YPJ WERE YOUTH MEMBERS’
“Dozens of friends we worked with, like Baran’s friend, martyr Seydo, martyr Serhed and martyr Lawend, were all friends of the youth. All those who were members of the YPG and YPJ were members of the youth. The youth were specially trained. and knowledge, everyone was discussed about the process, because everyone could not understand the process. There was a division in Rojava Kurdistan at that time, everyone was attached to a party. Therefore, from the youth were asked to relate to this situation and prevent this policy. Because of the people who joined these parties, it was without knowledge, they were only worried that Bashar al-Assad would go and be replaced by a democratic person. But the process was the exact opposite, the opponents of Syria (Mukhalif-Moared) went to the side of the Turkish state, as you can see, its other forces also sided with a different power, that is, their war turned against the Kurds.”
‘IF THE REVOLUTIONARY YOUTH IS ENDED, THE ENTIRE REVOLUTION WILL END’
“Our friends managed to organize the youth, it was very difficult, because the youth could not quickly understand the process and join it. Now all the time has passed, our steps were big, theirs was small. The young people were knowledgeable, they were educated and learned the process, but they did not know how to fight. This time, it became another duty to train the young people in the military aspect. Because the young people were being prepared for fighting in the cities, because that they will fight against the Free Army (Cesh Al-Hur), the Free Army was very young in military and technical terms. They were trained for 10-15 days. There was unity and love, but how to fight as a soldier in the youth did not have this kind of knowledge. After that, the process of the revolutionary youth went to the process of the establishment of the YPG. That is why the youth was always on the agenda of the enemy and the KDP. If the revolutionary youth ends, the revolution will end The one who started the Rojava revolution, protected it and brought it to the youth until today were revolutionary. Under this group of young people, many commanders and heroes emerged, most of them became martyrs of Kurdistan today.”
‘FRIEND BARAN WAS A DEDICATED, KIND AND KNOWLEDGEABLE FRIEND’
“There are some young friends that we have stayed with. All these friends influenced young people with their attitude, their spirit was always alive, they were quickly loved in the society. My friend Baran and I stayed together for about a month, we four brothers and they were some friends. The spirit of friend Baran was the spirit of youth, he was a servant. As I was older than him, I could carry more things than him, but friend Baran did not understand. He always took heavy burdens on his shoulder. There were dozens of friends there, but Baran’s attitude was different, he was a devoted, humble and knowledgeable friend.”
