NEW CENTER – The real name of martyr Helmet is Diyar Xerîb Muhammad Rasul. One morning in April 1973, in the village of Sêwsênan in Qeredakh district, he opened his eyes to another. He was named Diyar for the gift of the Kurdish People’s Freedom Struggle. His mother’s name is Sadiya Nazim Muhammad, and his father’s name is Xerîb Muhammad Rasul. It is a well-known family from the district of Qeredax in the city of Sulaimani in South Kurdistan. Martyr Diyar is the fourth child of the family.
In 1980, Diyar Xerib studied and completed primary school in his village. Martyr Diyar Xarib’s mother says the following about his studies; ‘Because he was a smart student, he was successful in his studies in primary school and was in the first place and always won the first prize. He was also the first in the educational level of the school. Apart from studying at school, Martyr Diyar also studied in the cell, where he successfully completed his studies.
Even at a young age, Diyar Xerib was a leader among his friends. He started studying at a young age and pursued science and research in all aspects of life, especially on the history and again the history of the Kurdish people.
After completing primary school, they move from the village to Suleimani. He finished his secondary education in Sulaimani and in 1991-1992 he went to Erbil to study at the College of Science of Saladin University. After the Raperina of 1991 and Korew, his brother Dilêr’s death in the security positions, is the reason for a new cycle and phase for Diyar Kharib. It enters into a research and search of the situation of the Kurdish people and the solution of the legitimate case of the Kurdish people.
At the beginning of the 90s, along with the thoughts and beliefs of the PKK, he met Leader Apo. Especially during the years he studied at Salaheddin University in Erbil, he got to know the PKK’s freedom ideology and Leader Apo’s thinking better. In the process of studying, he always discussed with his friends about the thoughts and politics of Leader Apo and the PKK, and his search for freedom grew more and more.
In 1997, he went to the Presidential Palace with a group and was very happy to see him. According to leader Apo heval Helmet participates in the training of the leader with great enthusiasm. With his evaluations and comments, he attracts the attention of Leader Apo and all other friends and becomes a great hope for them.
On this Leader Apo says the following for Martyr Diyar Xerîb; “You can be a great leader, as a young person you can take the heavy burden of struggle on your shoulder. You are one of those young people who have a nature in the people and can turn this nature into strength, take on the role of leadership and leadership.”
Then he returns with the group from the Presidential office. In 1998, as an educator and manager in the training of new fighters, he gave training to new fighters on revolutionary ideas, politics and ethics and prepared them for the great struggle.
