NEWS CENTER – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) made a statement on the subject on its official website.
The following was recorded in the statement of the SDF:
“The invading Turkish state wants to target the peace and security of the Syrian regions in general, especially Northern and Eastern Syria, with all its might. Its aim is to create instability and chaos, thus creating the ground and conditions for the occupation.
Many methods are used to achieve this goal. One of these methods is open and secret support to ISIS. The areas occupied by the Turkish state and its mercenaries have turned into safe zones where ISIS reorganizes itself, receives training and attacks other areas. The killing of ISIS’s two caliphs and many high-ranking emirs in safe zones is the biggest proof of this. If they did not see the occupied areas as safe zones for themselves, they would not be able to settle in these areas and turn them into headquarters.
THE Occupying State Activates Plans of AGENCY
Apart from the preparation of ISIS and the support given, the invading Turkish state itself is constantly on the move to cause instability and crisis through its intelligence agencies. The invading Turkish state and security institutions are carrying out extensive work to create traitors and agents in our regions. They allocated a large budget for this work. By developing this agent and collaborative work, they want to destroy unity and trust in our society. They want to distance people from the sacred values of society by creating disbelief and suspicion. On the other hand, they are trying to target SDF commanders and fighters, security forces, and personalities in the Autonomous Administration with these dirty spying methods. With these methods, they have caused the martyrdom of many friends, well-known patriots and social figures.
Together with the SDF security institutions, it carries out extensive work against the dirty and hostile policies of the Turkish state. This work is carried out with patience, confidentiality and professionalism. As a result of the investigation and research study, many spy cells were identified and their crimes were documented.
PROMISE TO AVEVE THE MARTYRS
As the SDF, we started our ‘Oath Operation’ within the framework of this work. When our comrades and commanders Rênas Roj, Sosin Bîrhat and Egîd Girke Legê were martyred, we promised that we would hold the perpetrators accountable and reveal all the facts of this attack. In this context, we launched the ‘Oath Operation’.
36 PEOPLE WHICH EXECUTED AGENCY ACTIVITIES DETECTED
36 people carrying out spying activities in Qamishlo, Til Temir, Hesekê, Şeddade, Deir ez-Zor, Reqa, Manbij, Til Temir and Kobanê were detained.
Most of them had to confess their crimes because we had documents and proofs. Some investigations are still ongoing. The said agent cells caused great harm to the people of the region and caused the martyrdom of many of our people. Our comrades Sosin Bîrhat, Egîd Girkê Legê, Rênas Roj and their friends were involved in the airstrike that killed them on August 19, 2021 in Til Temir. In short, they caused the martyrdom of 6 of our comrades.
On the other hand, we also have agents who had a hand in the martyrdom of our comrade Dilar Heleb and his 2 friends, who were martyred in Kobanê on April 20, 2022, and Hecî and his friends, who were martyred on October 20, 2021.
AGENT NETWORKS ARE ORGANIZED IN REGIONS UNDER THE OCCUPATION OF THE TR
At the same time, an agent who played a role in the martyrdom of 11 SDF fighters on different dates in the Deir ez-Zor region was captured. We now have many agents who shared information, videos, photos and coordinates with the Turkish state and were arrested as a result of different actions. While some agents whose interrogation has been completed are referred to the justice institutions, the interrogation of others continues. Most of the traitors who organize and run these spy networks are in occupied regions such as Serêkaniyê, Jarablus, Bab, Ezaz, and some are in Mardin, Urfa and Antep. Some of the people who organized and ran the agency network were punished during the ‘Oath Operation’ process.
CALL ON THE PEOPLE
As the SDF, we promised our martyrs that their perpetrators would be punished. By fulfilling this promise, our work and struggle against the dirty practices of the Turkish state continues. The Turkish state will continue its attacks more intensely. Whoever betrays his land, country and society and acts as an spy for the invading Turkish state will sooner or later be held accountable and receive the punishment he deserves.
On this occasion, we call on all of our people, especially our peoples in Northern and Eastern Syria, to stand by our security institutions against the special war tactics and spying of the Turkish state. In order to protect the peace and security of our regions, every citizen should feel responsible in this area and fulfill his patriotic and social duty. Our request and hope from our people is as follows; Our people must believe in the SDF and stand by it until the end. Only in this way can we abandon the invading enemy’s attempts and efforts to create instability and defend our region more strongly.
