SHEHBA – In 2018, the invading Turkish state attacked the city of Afrin in Rojava Kurdistan. During the attack, the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries faced 58 days of public resistance. After an unparalleled resistance, the people from Afrin city migrated to Shehba. People continue their resistance in Shehba.
The occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries attack the North-East of Syria every day. In order to defend themselves against these attacks and to defeat the Turkish state, the residents of Afrin have started to build battle positions in all districts and areas of Shehba. Afrin migrants in Şehba expressed their displeasure with the occupation attacks of the Turkish state and stated that they will resist until the return of Afrin and persist in defeating the occupation.
In the context of the revolutionary people’s war, dozens of Afrin residents in Şehba have started to build battle positions to protect themselves from invasion attacks. The people of Afrin declared that they will resist with the Revolutionary People’s War, and they will win with the Revolutionary People’s War.
At the beginning, the young man named Ahmed spoke as follows; “My name is Ahmed, I am from Shehba, we came here today to help our friends who are preparing war tunnels. We are making preparations in all areas of Shehba. By building tunnels, we will thwart the attacks of the invading Turkish state and defeat them. The construction of tunnels is basically one of the tactics of the Revolutionary People’s War, that is, the people and the fighters defend themselves together against invasion attacks. In the end, I wish success to all the fighters in the battle lines, and we will continue our march until the end on the path of the martyrs.
Also, the mother named Rozerin continued and said; “We are all here today to prepare positions, to protect ourselves when an attack comes upon us. We want to promote the culture of Revolutionary People’s War, that is, the people protect themselves and take responsibility for themselves. For this reason, I call on all people to come here, make positions with us and stand by our friends.”
One of the patriots named Hanan also stated that the people of Afrin are very resistant and will always resist and said; “My name is Hanan, I am from the city of Afrin, we emigrated and came to Shahba. However, since they arrived, the threats of Erdokhan have not decreased. We are also very organized, we will protect ourselves. As revolutionaries, we are asked to prepare our positions. Of course, we will always protect ourselves, the threats of the fascist Erdogan will never affect us. The people of Afrin are always in resistance, in war. We will give a strong response to the occupying Turkish state, if they start a war and attack, they will regret it. Our precious boys and girls are always fighting, we are martyrs every day, we will fight and we will always fight.
Finally, a young woman named Meryem expressed her opinion; “My name is Meryem, we are the people of Afrin who have migrated to Shehba, now we are preparing positions here. We are ready for the war to be fought, we are behind our military forces. As a people, we are ready for whatever is asked of us.”
