NEWS CENTER – Against the ongoing invasion and genocidal attacks in Kurdistan and the severe isolation conditions imposed on Rêber Apo, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) have organised a 2-day Long March which will be held in Paris, the capital of France. A statement was made by the organizing committee regarding the march that will take place.
The statement claimed that: “The Turkish state continues its genocidal war against the Kurds both inside and outside the country’s borders,” In this context, the Turkish State launched a large-scale operation, in April, against the Media Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan, where the Kurdistan freedom forces are located. Along with these attacks, the isolation on Rêber Apo was also aggravated and the conditions in Imrali Prison, where Rêber Apo is held, were aggravated without reasoning. The youth movements, emphasizing the “Werin Cenga Azadiyê” (“Join The Fight”) move, call on all those from Kurdistan and their allies to defend Kurdistan.
Mentioning the occupation and genocidal attacks in the Media Defense Zones, the youth also stated in their statements that the attacks were carried out with the cooperation of the KDP and that the fascist Turkish state used chemical weapons, committing a war crime, and once again called on young people to get organised and flow to the streets against this fascist mentality.
The statement given is as follows:
“In the 50-year war of existence and honour that is being fought in propria persona of Rêber Apo and the Kurdish people’s Freedom Guerrillas, a greater battle than ever before is ongoing, and we are confidently marching towards victory. Both allies and enemies are aware of the fact that we are closer to victory than ever before. The Kurdish youth are resisting the invasive attacks of the fascist Turkish state in Bakur, Başur and Rojava with their yellow Mekaps (shoes worn by the guerrillas) and their will made of steel. Our people are waging an uncompromising struggle against the betraying forces of KDP and a world that is silent in the face of war crimes. The torture in Imrali prison imposed by capitalist modernity is become more severe by the day and together with these attacks an advance towards the annihilation of Kurdistan and the Kurdish will to live freely is being attempted.”

Through the attacks on Rêber Apo, the isolation policies on the Kurdish Freedom Movement and the Kurdish people are being aggravated. While these realities have come to light in four parts of Kurdistan, the center of the hegemonic, capitalist and nation-state system is also imposing assimilation, integration and dishonour on the Kurdish people living in Europe. Our people, who have been fighting against all these policies for years, managed to great successes against this war under the leadership of our youth movement and continued their struggle everywhere with great honour. Considering all these attacks and invasion attempts, the attitude that the youth and our people should adopt is clear. Our people, with great self-sacrifice and with the APO´ist spirit, should not only participate in every action and that the youth is leading, but should also undertake the indispensable task to develop a youth leadership that will be able to give a strong response to these attacks. The guerrilla, waging a relentless war for our people, draws its strength and morale from the unity of our people. Based on this fact; participating in the mass long march that will be held in Paris, is the best response to the increasing attacks in this process. With the slogan of “Li dijî îxanet û dagirkeriyê werin cenga azadiyê” (“Join The Fight Against Occupation and Betrayel”) on different dates, the youth movement developing a common struggle against occupation, betrayal, exploitation and capitalism, raising this struggle, and coming together for this purpose will be the most effective response to the forces that want to drag our people into genocide. On this basis, as TCŞ and TekoJIN, we invite all Kurdish people, old and young, man and women living in Europe, especially France, and internationalists to join the long march. Our people should not forget that; There is no repetition or forgiveness in war. Losses in war are irreparable losses. It takes strong support and unity to lead this war to victory. We call on our people to come together and join the struggle in the context of this reality.”
