BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center stated the following regarding the 3 guerrillas who were martyred:
“The invading Turkish army, which was blocked by the heavy blows it received in the east of the Zap as a result of the selfless struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, wanted to try its luck on the west side of the Zap this time and expanded its invasion attack towards these areas. Our comrades, who have developed a self-sacrificing resistance since the 25th of May, when the attacks on the west of the Zap first started, have dealt great blows to the enemy. The resistance developed under the leadership of our mobile teams continues to this day. Our comrades Dîdar, Özgür and Zemanî, who started this resistance with the first bullet they fired at the enemy, also determined the character and course of the resistance. These comrades, who became martyrs by fighting with a self-sacrificing style without any justification, fulfilled their pioneering mission with their wars as well as their lives.

Our comrade Dîdar Harun, originally from Mêrdîn Mîdyat, was born and raised in Germany. Growing up in a family of participations and martyrs has always led him to seek to understand the reality of the party, to live the party culture and to shape herself on this basis. When our comrade Dîdar was young, she was seriously affected by the participation of her brother, Martyr Harun Torî, who joined the PKK ranks of our Party, and over the years she began to question why he joined and preferred the free mountains, and deepened her searches. Despite growing up in Europe, the center of liberalism, where the capitalist system allows so-called unlimited individual freedom, our comrade never broke away from the reality of Kurds and Kurdistan as a resistance Kurdish woman. Despite this, she has always felt and expressed the lack of not growing up in the holy lands of Kurdistan. Our comrade, who participated in the revolutionary youth work, made great efforts to raise the awareness of the youth of our people who had to live in exile and to join the struggle. As an honorable Kurdish youth who did not bow to capitalism, our comrade Dîdar felt that she had caught her true identity as she got to know the struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which developed with the philosophy of Leader Apo. Contrary to her will to live and be in the center of capitalism, which is very attractive to many people, as a revolutionary, she dismissed what the system had to offer and preferred Leader Apo’s struggle for humanity, and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2017. Our comrade, who studied at university level in Germany and America, studied philosophy at the university, and besides her mother tongue Kurdish, she also learned German, English, Spanish and Turkish languages well. At a time when many people were trying to escape from their homeland like the plague, our comrade Dîdar turned her back on capitalist modernity and came to the mountains of Kurdistan, turning her face to her homeland and her people. Our comrade, who has a great interest in the field of philosophy, not only gained a strong awareness of history, comprehended the Apoist philosophy as she read the books of Leader Apo, but also brought to consciousness the fact that the new lifeline that our Leader wanted to create under the leadership of Kurdish women is the only way of salvation for all humanity. With this awareness, she became the owner of a strong and unwavering participation. Our comrade, who has a great interest in the field of philosophy, not only gained a strong awareness of history, comprehended the Apoist philosophy as she read the books of Leader Apo, but also brought to consciousness the fact that the new lifeline that our Leader wanted to create under the leadership of Kurdish women is the only way of salvation for all humanity.
Our comrade Dîdar, who defines the day she joined the guerrilla ranks as a rebirth, lived every moment she breathed in the mountains of Kurdistan, which she longed for, with great meaning. In the person of her brother Martyr Harun Torî, who showed a strong practice by carrying out guerrilla activities in Botan and created a great legacy with his efforts, she made great progress in a short time based on deepening the struggle of our immortal martyrs. Our comrade Dîdar, based on the militant life and participation line of PAJK, improved himself in the military field and worked tirelessly to meet the needs of the period. Our comrade Dîdar, who is inseparably connected to the line of comradeship created by the PKK, has given great value to each of her comrades, and has become a true defender and practitioner of the line of holy comradeship and militant life.
Our comrade, who managed to become an exemplary YJA Star fighter and commander of the new era guerrillaism developed by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which grew up by sacrificing and escalating the struggle, further deepened her concentration and embodied the line of sacrifice in her person and participated in the activities of Hêzên Taybet (Special Forces). Our comrade Dîdar, who made a great impression on every comrade she met, has established a throne in the hearts of all her comrades with her sincere and professional personality. She has been one of our comrades who rushed to the battle positions with her comrades and fired the first bullets at the invaders from the first moment the colonial Turkish army started the invasion operation. She transformed her anger against the colonialists into militant living and fighting energy, and took part in many actions that dealt heavy blows to the invaders.

OZGUR MEMYAN
Our free comrade was born and grew up in a patriotic family in the Lîce district of Amed, who greeted the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle with the serhildans he developed and gave unlimited support to our struggle on a patriotic line from the very first day. Our comrade, who grew up among the serhildans developed by our people as a response to the assimilation, denial and destruction attacks of the colonial Turkish state, dreamed of the day when he would join the guerrilla ranks from an early age. Our comrade Özgür, who chose the path of struggle despite the efforts of the colonial system to make the Kurdish youth unconscious and uproot them from their roots, joined the guerrilla ranks in Amed, where he was born and grew up in 2014, and went to the Botan area and carried out his first guerrilla practice. Our comrade, who made an effort to create an unwavering will under the most difficult conditions, gained great experience in a short time, quickly integrated with his comrades in life and participation. Our comrade Özgür, who went to Shengal and fought against the fascist gangs with his comrades in the face of the attacks to destroy the freedom hopes of our people, who were walking in the light of Leader Apo’s philosophy, immediately came to the fore with his strong warrior and commander features. Despite his injury, our comrade, who recovered quickly with his great will and returned to the hot war front, continued his struggle uninterruptedly. Our comrade, who became a military expert by staying in many different fields and studies, was based on sharing his experience with his comrades and was recognized as an Apoist militant who was loved and respected among all his comrades. Our comrade, who always asks himself the question “How can I participate more and stronger” and concentrates on this basis, has become a militant of the PKK, which is the movement of Fedayeen, by absorbing and vitalizing it. Our comrade Özgür, who lives and fights in sacrifice, joined our Hêzên Taybet institution on the basis of their concentration, entered a process of deep concentration and almost re-created himself.
Our comrade Özgür, who is always at the forefront and pioneers his comrades with his brave, initiative, active and friendly personality, has based himself on conveying his experiences to his fellow comrades while developing himself. Our comrade Özgür, who has been on the war front since the first moment of the invasion operation of the invading Turkish state and has been fighting nonstop from position to position, has taken an active role in many actions that dealt heavy blows to the invaders. Our comrade Özgür, who did not allow the occupation and the invaders together with his comrades, has made a great effort to fulfill his responsibility to our martyrs, our Leader and our oppressed people, like thousands of honorable Kurdish youth who shed their blood for the free future of our people.

ZEMANİ ROJHAT
Our Zemani comrade was born in a patriotic family in Shewran village of Suruç district of Riha. Coming from a family tradition deeply attached to the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, our comrade Zemani grew up with this patriotic culture. Therefore, he developed his whole life and dreams within the framework of the freedom movement. He was aware of the enemy’s policies to assimilate our people and ultimately eliminate them through various forms of genocide, and at first he reacted and opposed, albeit more emotionally. Over time, he raised this emotional reaction to the level of consciousness and believed that he could only cope with these genocidal policies of the enemy by fighting. Our comrade Zemani, who went into search on this basis, saw that the struggle carried out within the system was limited, although he took part in some studies at first, and he understood that it did not meet our people’s need for freedom. Because of this, he wanted to be involved in a work where he could fight more and bring our people closer to real freedom. Our comrade Zemani, who closely followed the developments around him, was able to analyze them correctly and draw conclusions. The fact that our people witnessed the tragedy, especially after the ISIS gangs attacked Kobanê, clarified where our comrade Zemani will stand in the struggle.
For this reason, by participating in the Rojava Freedom Revolution in 2015, he tried to respond to our people’s need for freedom. Comrade Zemani, who took his place in the fronts after a short training period, fought against the gangs with great determination and courage. Our comrade Zemani, whose military aspect is at the forefront, had a successful practice and set an example for all his comrades. Although he was seriously injured during the war, he did not take a step back from his struggle. With the experience he gained from the war, he believed that every warrior should undergo specialty training in order to carry out our war of freedom in a more qualified way. For this reason, he went through these training processes and became a professional guerrilla. Our comrade Zemani, who took part in some critical studies for a long time, had an important contribution to the development of our freedom struggle.
He set an example for all his comrades with his hardworking, self-sacrificing stance and creative character in the works he took part in. After a successful practice, our comrade Zemanî, who researched the struggles of our sacrifice commanders Zinar and Doğa, was deeply affected by the struggles of these comrades. Like our commanders, these sacrifices were involved in the intensification of dissolving themselves in freedom and became involved in the Hêzên Taybet organization. Despite all his achievements, our comrade Zemani, who has a very humble personality, has always felt inadequate towards our martyrs and our Leader, and has always sought to be worthy of them. He was named after our comrade Zemani (Mehmet Yavuzel), the son of his uncle, who was brutally burned by the fascist Turkish state in the basements of Cizre during the self-government resistances. He fought with an unstoppable energy in the freedom war he set out on and led his comrades. Our comrade Zemanî, who was in the groups that intervened at the first moment in the invasion attacks of the enemy against the west of the Zap, inflicted great losses on the enemy, like his other comrades, by striking the enemy repeatedly. Comrade Zemani, who is the epitome of honesty, sincerity and courage, became one of the leading militants who determined the line of war with his active participation and self-sacrificing war in this war process. Both of our Zemani comrades, who left the Suruç plain and followed the footsteps of Comrade Zemani (Mustafa Gezgör), one of the leading and legendary cadres of our Party PKK, went down in our history of struggle as valiant youths, especially Suruç and Riha youth, and all Kurdistan youth to take as an example.
Our comrades Dîdar, Özgür and Zemanî, who brought our people one step closer to freedom with their self-sacrificing resistance against the invasion attacks of the enemy, not only led our comrades with their lives, but also became an instruction to fight more and take revenge on the enemy with their martyrdom. We promise to preserve the legacy of our comrades’ struggle and extend our condolences to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially their precious families.”
