“Today, our freedom struggle, which has peaked in Zap and Avaşîn, continues with great will. Our comrades, who fought hand to hand with the enemy in the Resistance Zones, stopped the advance of the enemy with the moral strength they possessed and are inflicting heavy blows on the enemy with each passing day. The spiritual power that inspired the resistance of our comrades is undoubtedly the superhuman resistance that Leader Apo developed in Imrali and our promise to realize the dreams of our martyred comrades. Our 2016 martyrs, who are among the martyrs who are an inspiration to our comrades who are resisting in the positions today, have entered into a war without hesitation against the genocidal Turkish army, believing that their comrades will definitely stand up for their struggle and expand our war of freedom. Fırat, Hêjar, Serhat, Kajiyan, Êrîş, who fought with this awareness, With their martyrdom, our comrades Cûdî and Zinar took their honorable place in the history of freedom of our people as the architects of today’s resistance. FIRAT ALI
Our comrade Fırat was born in a patriotic family in the patriotic Heskîf district of Êlih. Our comrade Euphrates, as a natural result of growing up in historical Heskîf, one of the places where Kurdish community first began to form, embodied basic social values in his personality and lived a strong life. At the same time, the great humanity movement, which is the follower and current representative of historical social culture and democratic civilization, has known the PKK from an early age. He saw the ties of historicality in the lands he was born with and actuality in the PKK, and therefore he had great sympathy. Our comrade Fırat, who is in search of being able to represent the values of humanity in the best way, has trained and raised awareness. He won the Turkish state university and successfully studied the teaching department. However, he was angered by the inhumane Turkish state’s attack on Heskif, which has been the place of both humanity and patriotic Kurdishness for thousands of years, and that dams were built and flooded with the aim of cultural genocide. These feelings not only increased our comrade Fırat’s grudge and anger towards the enemy, but also further strengthened his loyalty to his own roots. On this basis, he researched, read and became more conscious of Apoist ideology and philosophy. He showed his first reaction to the Turkish Republic system by leaving their school and participated in youth work. After carrying out revolutionary youth activities for a while, he turned his direction to the mountains in 2013 and joined the guerrilla ranks. Comrade Fırat, who started his first guerrilla practice in Amed, later moved to the Medya Defense Zones as part of the withdrawal process in 2013. It operated for 2 years in the Cîlo state, known for its harsh conditions, and became a guerrilla whose will was tempered by being shaped in practice. After he became competent on the basis of his experience, he carried out the important work of war correspondence for two years. In 2016, when the war process got even more angry, our comrade Fırat insisted on going to the front lines and taking part. He moved to Avaşîn in order to put what he learned practically and theoretically at the service of his people. He took part in many actions that dealt a blow to the invading enemy in Avaşîn with his efforts and ideas. He became an exemplary Apoist commander who won the love of all his comrades with his stance, knowledge, participation, effort and comradeship. He was able to adequately represent the Apoist militancy stance until the day he was martyred.

The city of Gever, which has been in a constant resistance against all oppression and attacks in history and has never given up on its culture, still maintains this culture of resistance. The people of Gever, who played a great role in the Kurdistan revolution, also dedicated their bravest sons to this revolution. Our comrade Hêjar, one of the valiant sons of the Kurdish people, was originally from Gever and was born and raised in a patriotic family in Wan. Our comrade Hêjar has been in search of fighting against the enemy in a way befitting his people. In the process carried out with the great struggle and effort of Leader Apo in the name of solution and peace, our comrade Hêjar, who started to get to know Leader Apo and the PKK closely, realized the dishonest face of the fascist AKP regime and decided to join the guerrilla. Comrade Hêjar, who adapted to the mountains of Kurdistan in a short time and improved himself, approached each of his duties with awareness. Our comrade, who practices on this basis, has constantly trained himself to become an Apoist militant. He showed his loyalty to Leader Apo and his country with his stance in life. He has managed to win the respect of all his comrades with his devoted stance and sincere approach in life. Comrade Hêjar, who has made progress both ideologically and militarily, has presented every new piece of information he has learned to the service of his party, people and comrades. The guerrillaism of our comrade Hêjar, who has an artistic personality, has also been artistic. With his sensitive, disciplined and creative features in guerrillaism, he made his color evident in the environments he was in. When he just joined, he could only express his comradely bond with familial ties. With the practical process, which is a great school, he realized that the PKK comradeship is superior and valuable than family ties. SERHAT ŞIAR
Our comrade Serhat, who was born in a patriotic and laboring family in Muş, was shaped by the ancient culture and moral values of the Serhat region. In the colonial school he attended at a young age, he took a meaningful stance by fiercely resisting the assimilation impositions of the occupying powers. His father’s martyrdom due to cruelty, oppression and torture in enemy dungeons had a great impact on our comrade Serhat. In the person of his father, he always sought revenge in order to hold accountable for all the prisoners who were oppressed and tortured in the dungeon. Comrade Serhat, who became aware of the true purpose of the genocidal Turkish state when it came to his university years, has been in an active struggle against the colonialist state mentality by taking part in youth work. He became acquainted with Leader Apo’s philosophy and endeavored to turn every aspect of life into struggle with Leader Apo’s style of struggle. Despite all the oppression, arrest and detention practices of the invading Turkish state, he stuck to his ideals and continued to walk with great determination. In 2014, he realized that every honorable Kurdish youth should join the guerrilla ranks and give a meaningful response against the joint attacks of ISIS and the Turkish state in Kobanê and Shengal. In a period of these developments, he realized that the struggle against the enemy within the system was limited and that he could not make any progress in this. Comrade Serhat, fulfilling this historical responsibility, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014 and gave the most meaningful and honorable answer to the invading and genocidal enemy with his struggle. Influenced by the comradely relations of the guerrilla in the mountains of Kurdistan, our comrade Serhat saw that there is a lifestyle within the PKK that makes people human and glorifies them. He has improved himself with the trainings he has received and has shown this in the most accurate way in practical studies. Known for his determination, morale and enthusiasm for struggle in guerrilla life, our comrade Serhat adapted to difficult conditions in a short time and managed to become a competent militant by combining the working culture he came from with the ideology and fighting style of Leader Apo. Comrade Serhat, who participated in life with great morale and enthusiasm, was conscious of each and every work he did. Our comrade Serhat, who has undertaken different duties in many regions in the guerrilla fields, has successfully fulfilled all his duties and responsibilities. He has knitted every moment and struggle of his march with a great effort and a unique struggle. He showed a superior performance in military and ideological training in order to be competent in the honor resistance and to be successful in the war against the enemy. Our comrade Kajiyan was born in Licê, the place of resistance and resurrection. He grew up in a patriotic family that was martyred and participated in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Our comrade Kajiyan, who grew up with the memories of his martyr’s uncle, recognized the struggle for existence and freedom of the people of Kurdistan early. Our comrade Kajiyan, who grew up as a mature, socially moral and responsible personality, was also sensitive to social problems. Our comrade Kajiyan, who studied electricity at the university, also made a living by working. Seeing the guerrilla one-on-one for the first time in a village he was about to work in had a profound effect on him. Afterwards, it continues its activities in cities as a militia for a long time. However, the massacre carried out by the colonialist Turkish state in Suruç by ISIS, Kajiyan caused great anger in our comrade and believed in the necessity of taking revenge for this. Therefore, he believed that he needed to further enlarge the way of participation. Our comrade Kajiyan, who did not become alienated from his values at a time when some individuals in the system distanced themselves from the spiritual values that created them in order to possess material values, and even denied himself, left behind his material gains and the school of the enemy. At a time when the genocidal Turkish state intensified massacres in our country, he realized that freedom and a dignified life could only be achieved through armed struggle and decided to join the guerrilla ranks. After joining the guerrilla ranks in Amed province and spending his first days there, he moved to the Medya Defense Zones. With the basic education he received here, he was able to better analyze the destructions of the capitalist system and the Turkish state in Kurdistan, especially in the Kurdish youth. Our comrade Kajiyan saw the truth of a free and communal lifestyle with Leader Apo’s paradigm against the individualism that the system presents as reality. Our comrade Kajiyan, who has a mature personality, assimilated the humble life standards of the PKK early and made a great effort to have an equal participation. He devotedly practiced in the mountains of Zagros, did not refrain from any work and responsibility, and successfully fulfilled every task he took. With his hard work and modesty, he made himself competent and became an exemplary Apoist militant.

Our comrade Êrîş was born in Mersin in a patriotic environment. Our comrade Êrîş, who was born and raised in the metropolises of Turkey, has never severed his ties with his country, Kurdistan, and its people. He was shaped by adopting the strong social morality of the Kurdish people and infusing patriotism into his personality. The colonialist Turkish state, which also exploited the Kurdish people economically, grew up in a poor family due to its assimilation policies. This situation introduced our comrade Êrîş to the concept of labor and enabled him to live by working with his own labor and standing on his own feet. For this reason, he has grasped the socialist essence of life with his heart and has always been respectful to labor. When he met the PKK, the biggest labor movement of Kurdistan, he expressed his Kurdish identity, the true representation of labor and moral-political, Socialist society saw its reality in the Apoist movement. As soon as he realized these truths, he decided to join the PKK without hesitation and came to the mountains of Kurdistan. He loved the guerrilla life early, internalized the socialist life standards of the PKK early on, and took it as a basis to create himself with his labor throughout his revolutionary life. Comrade Êrîş, who stands out with his honest, hardworking and self-sacrificing qualities, has earned the love and respect of all his friends. Although he did not study much in Turkish public schools, he developed himself both ideologically and militarily by making use of the rich library of Apoist ideology. Our comrade Êrîş, who made progress as an exemplary Apoist militant, became a person who won the love and respect of all his friends. This dignity until the day he reached martyrdom, Our comrade Êrîş, who preserved his labor participation and simplicity, handed us a strong legacy of struggle and comradeship that should always be taken as a basis, with his martyrdom. The people of Colemêrg, like the rebellious and majestic mountains of the Zagros, have been noble, unyielding, ancient and unshakable in character. It neither gave way to the invaders, nor bowed to the oppressors, nor accepted to dissolve in the face of assimilation imposed on it. When necessary, it was able to preserve its ancient culture by making the Zagros dwelling. The people of Colemêrg, who showed great interest in the freedom movement with the development of the Apoist movement in the Zagros, added their most precious sons to this movement. Although they were subjected to countless persecution by the occupying Turkish state because of their patriotism, they never gave up on the cause they believed in and always fought. With their new participation in each martyrdom, they gave the necessary answer to the enemy and became the continuation of our cause for freedom. Our comrade Judi, who was born and raised in such a place and place, was shaped in this character. He recognized the Kurdistan Freedom Movement because of the patriotism of his environment. Knowing that freedom does not come without a price, the people of Botan have joined thousands of valiant children to the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and have pioneered patriotism in this sense. Coming from such an ancient and deep-rooted tradition, our comrade Zinar was born and grew up in a patriotic family in the town of Dêrgul, located between the Gabar and Cûdî mountains. Witnessing his father being shot and wounded by the invaders at an early age, our comrade Zinar has felt a great grudge and hatred against the enemy since then. Our comrade Zinar, who recognizes the Kurdistan Freedom Movement due to his family being patriotic, has also brought to consciousness the policies of genocide, assimilation, denial and annihilation carried out by the enemy on our people. Believing that the most effective struggle against these policies will take place within the ranks of the PKK, our comrade Zinar turned to the mountains of Kurdistan. Our comrade Zinar, the valiant son of the valuable Botan people, continued his search in the mountains of Kurdistan. From the guerrilla life to the comradely relations, the communal life and the fight of thousands of heroes against the enemy with great will to their last bullets, it had a great impact on our comrade Zinar. Comrade Zinar, who researched the truth of Leadership in the PKK and the history of Kurdistan and made a great progress in a short time as a result of the trainings he received, has become a sought-after and exemplary person among his comrades. Our comrade Zinar was a representative of the Kurdish people, especially the Botan region, that has survived to the present day without being spoiled, and has brought history to the present day with its natural, untainted by the system’s features, and its essence is the same. In addition to these, our comrade Zinar, who internalized Botan’s warrior personality traits, is energetic on this basis, He has become a promising candidate for a great commander with his brave and quick-witted features.
