BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center provides information about the results of the actions in the resistance areas and the attacks by the Turkish occupying soldiers.
The written statement states:
“The guerrillas of Freedom Kurdistan, fighting with an apoistic spirit of self-sacrifice, continue to inflict heavy blows on the occupiers using rich guerrilla tactics.
As a result of the effective actions of our mobile teams, 3 occupiers and 3 contras were fined, 3 occupiers were injured, 1 AK-47 gun was seized, 1 jammer was destroyed. The occupying Turkish army bombed the resistance areas 19 times with fighter jets, 26 times with attack helicopters, 11 times with chemical weapons and explosives and dozens of times with howitzers.”
The details of the actions performed and the attacks performed are as follows;
In the Avaşîn region as part of the Bazên Zagros revolutionary offensive;
- On June 29 at 12:00 the invaders in the Werxelê resistance area were hit with heavy weapons.
- At 13:00 on June 30, a group of occupiers with provisions for the Turkish occupying soldiers were attacked by our mobile teams near the village of Ertûş in Nêrwe and shot down with hand grenades and individual weapons, and 3 occupiers were punished. Our forces walked over the corpses of the contras and seized an AK-47 handgun.
- On July 1 at 12:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. the occupiers in the Kokerê area were attacked by our mobile teams and met with a coordinated guerrilla action. As a result of actions carried out with heavy and individual weapons, 2 occupiers were fined and 3 occupiers were injured.
In the Zap region as part of the revolutionary Bazên Zagros offensive;
- On July 1st at 5:00 p.m., the Turkish occupying army wanted to advance with 2 tanks and 2 armored vehicles from the border of northern Kurdistan towards the Çemço resistance area. These occupiers were attacked and hit by our forces using heavy weapons and sniper tactics, and the occupiers’ advance was stopped.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehîd Savaş Maraş;
- The occupiers, who became active on July 1 at 09:00 in the Girê Cûdî resistance area, were attacked by our armed forces. 1 occupier who carried a jammer on his back was punished by gunfire and the jammer destroyed. Other occupiers who wanted to intervene in the action area were hit by our mobile teams with hand grenades and individual weapons. The corpse of the punished occupier is under the control of our armed forces.
- After the occupiers had bombed the Girê Cûdî resistance area with explosives at 4:30 p.m. on July 1, the occupiers who wanted to advance were targeted and hit with sabotage tactics. After the action, the Bestazers had to take a step back.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On July 1, wartime tunnels in Şikefta Birîndara, Girê FM and in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were bombed eleven times with chemical weapons and explosives. The chemical weapons used were found to smell of bleach and chlorine.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with howitzers, combat helicopters and combat aircraft;
- On July 1, the resistance areas of Kokerê, Çemço, Girê Hakkarî and Girê Amediye were bombed dozens of times with howitzers and mortars fired from border police stations.
- On July 1, the resistance areas of Kokerê, Kurojahro, Girê Karker, Şikefta Birîndara and Saca were bombed 26 times by helicopter gunships.
- On July 1, the resistance areas of Girê Hakkarî, Girê Amediyê and the villages of Zevkê in Garê and Şiyê in Dinartê, as well as the village of Dopala connected to Qendil, were bombed 19 times by warplanes.”
