BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press and communication center has published the following statement on the current situation in the resistance areas:
“The actions of the Kurdistan freedom guerrilla, thriving on the development of historic resistance to colonial attacks and nourished by the noble tradition of our freedom struggle, continue to salute the July 14 resistance. As a result of the actions of our mobile teams, carried out with great creativity, 3 occupiers were punished, 1 position and 1 Mobesse camera system destroyed, 1 Mobesse camera system and 2 UPS devices seized, 1 attack helicopter and 1 excavator hit.
The occupying Turkish army bombed the resistance areas 20 times with chemical weapons and explosives, 7 times with warplanes, 18 times with attack helicopters and dozens of times with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons.”
The details of the actions performed and the attacks performed are as follows;
As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagros in the Xakurke region;
- At 14:10 on July 12, the occupiers positioned around Girê Şehid Şahan in Xakurkê were attacked using sniper tactics. 1 position on the hill was evacuated by the occupiers and the Mobesse camera system inside was destroyed, 1 Mobesse camera system and 2 UPS devices were confiscated.
In the Zap region as part of the revolutionary Bazên Zagros offensive;
- At 10:00 on July 12, the invaders who took position in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area were attacked and fired upon by our mobile teams with heavy weapons. 1 excavator was hit in the action and construction work on the position was halted.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûr Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On July 12 between 07:00 and 09:00 the battle positions in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were twice bombed with chemical weapons and explosives. The occupiers who wanted to bomb for the third time were hit by our forces with sabotage tactics and 2 occupiers were punished.
- On July 12, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., the combat positions in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were bombed six times with chemical weapons and explosives. Later, our mobile teams intervened against the occupiers using sniper tactics, and the occupiers had to retreat a step.
- On July 12 at 2:10 p.m. the occupiers in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were fired upon by our armed forces using sniper tactics and 1 occupier was punished.
- At 19:10 on July 12, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were hit by a sabotage tactic by our armed forces.
- Attack helicopters bombing the Girê FM resistance area at 11:40 p.m. on July 12 came under heavy fire from our forces. A targeted helicopter was hit and forced to move out of the area.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On July 12, the combat positions in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area were bombed five times with chemical weapons, explosives and phosphorus bombs.
- On July 12, the fighting positions in the Girê Hakkarî resistance area were twice bombed with chemical weapons and explosives.
- On July 12, the combat positions in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were bombed three times with chemical weapons and explosives.
- In the morning hours of July 13, the combat positions in the Girê Karker resistance area were twice bombed with chemical weapons and explosives.
- Some of the chemical weapons used by the occupiers are red, grey; Some of them have been found to be colorless and these chemicals have the property to burn human throat and block chest.
The attacks of the occupying Turkish army with howitzers, helicopters with heavy weapons and fighter planes;
- On July 12, drone operations took place in the Girê Hakkarî and Kurojahro resistance areas.
- On July 12, fighter planes bombed the area around the village of Sedare in Garê, Sinînê in Xakûrkê and the areas of Saca and Çemço in Zap.
- On July 12, the resistance areas of Girê Cûdî, Girê FM, Girê Amediyê, Girê Hakkarî, Kurojahro and Werxelê were bombed 18 times by helicopter gunships.
- On July 10 and 12, the resistance areas of Girê Hakkarî, Girê FM and the villages of Hirore and Kêste in Metîna were bombed with howitzers and heavy weapons fired from border police stations.
- During the bombings carried out by the invaders, material damage was done to the vineyards and gardens of our people in Bashurê Kurdistan.”
