“With their struggle, our comrades Memo, Serhat and Êrîş have written their names in the history of Kurdistan freedom with golden letters and have become one of the unique examples of Apoist militancy. First, they left their individual lives aside and became the self-defeating revolutionaries of Kurdistan, then they fought in the mountains of Kurdistan, and when our Êzidî people came face to face with the genocide attack, they went to Shengal without hesitation or wasting time. The epic war of the Apoist militants in Shengal, their bravery, their great sacrifices and their deep devotion to the people of Kurdistan became concrete in the person of our comrades Memo, Serhat and Êrîş. While everyone was fleeing from Shengal in great fear and horror, the Apoists marched against the persecution with great courage, defeated the ISIS gangs and successfully fulfilled their historical mission in Shengal.
The year 2017, when our Revolutionary People’s War was intense, also witnessed unmatched heroism. At a time when the enemy attacked the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla with a fury of attacks, epic resistances were developed in all areas of Bakurê Kurdistan, especially in Botan. One of the areas where these resistances were developed was the Judi area. In the actions developed under the leadership of Comrade Memo, who served as the regional commander in Judi, heavy blows were dealt to the enemy and the plans of the enemy were foiled. Our comrades Memo, Serhat and Êrîş, who played a role in the liberation of the Êzîdî people and made great efforts, reached martyrdom by fighting hand-to-hand with the invaders in the enemy operation that took place on September 15, 2017.
We state that we will surely realize their dreams of freedom by following in the footsteps of these comrades who are the most beautiful human beings and the sacrifice of Kurdistan, and we reiterate our promise that we will be worthy of martyrs. As comrades who are justifiably honored and proud to have fought together with these esteemed comrades, we extend our condolences to their esteemed families, our Yazidi people who are deeply devoted to these comrades, and all patriotic people of Kurdistan.

Our comrade Memo, who was born in a patriotic family in Qoser, recognized the PKK in the early 90’s, when the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle began to become massive and Kurdish youth joined the guerrilla ranks. It believed that the PKK could meet our people’s longing for freedom and passion for hundreds of years, and on this basis it became involved in the work. Fearing the revolutionary potential revealed by the conscious Kurdish youth, the enemy tried in vain to find a solution by resorting to more massacres and arrests. In those processes, thousands of patriotic and revolutionary Kurdish youth were murdered and arrested. Our comrade Memo attracted the attention of the enemy with his active participation in the works he took part in. Our comrade Memo, who was captured by the enemy in 1996, remained in the dungeons of the genocidal Turkish state for a while. Thanks to our dungeon resistance tradition, which turned the dungeons developed by the enemy to intimidate the Kurdish people into schools of revolution, our comrade Memo also trained himself under the conditions of the dungeon and our party had the opportunity to get to know the PKK better. As Leader Apo and the PKK got to know their reality, they became more integrated with our Party and began to take more responsibility. After our leadership was captured by the enemy with an international conspiracy, like thousands of Kurdish youth, he did not accept this situation and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2002 as a response. Although our comrade Memo is married and has 2 children, he joined the ranks of the Party with the awareness that it is the greatest patriotic duty to relieve the suffering of his people and to ensure the freedom of his country. Because honorable to children in Kurdistan, Being a father who creates an identity and a free life is only possible by granting them a free country and a free life. Feeling this burning and difficult reality in the depths of his heart, he devoted himself to the cause of freedom of Kurdistan on the basis of great sacrifice.
Comrade Memo, who joined the guerrilla ranks from the Omerya area of Merdin, was deeply affected by the life stances and comradely relations of the comrades in this area. Although he stayed in the Mêrdîn area for a short time, he became attached to his comrades here and although many years passed, he never forgot his memories with the first guerrillas he met. Comrade Memo, who attaches great importance to guerrillaism, was deeply conscious of what guerrilla means for the people of Kurdistan. It is aware that the hundreds of years of exploitation of our people is broken day by day and the borders that are wanted to be formed in the minds of the people of Kurdistan are destroyed one by one, as a result of the guerrilla struggle. For this reason, he participated in training and practical work at a high pace in order to become a competent guerrilla;
He worked as a guerrilla in the Heftanîn area for about 6 years. Our comrade Memo, who has an extremely hardworking personality, created himself with his labor and developed both militarily and ideologically day by day. He experienced his first commanding experience in the field of Heftanîn and made an intense effort to represent all the characteristics of an Apoist commander in his personality. In 2008, the enemy’s attacks on our people, which amounted to massacres, increased the anger of our comrade Memo even more, and he offered to go to Bakure Kurdistan to avenge our people. After his proposal was accepted, our comrade Memo moved to the Cûdî area, the heart of Botan, where he practiced for 5 years. Comrade Memo, who has carried out important studies in the 5 years of Judi practice, has made an effort especially in teaching our people the Revolutionary People’s War strategy. At the same time, he pioneered the development of many actions against the enemy and made the enemy unable to move in the Botan area. He took part in the groups that moved to the Medya Defense Zones on the basis of the democratic solution march in 2013 and remained in the Medya Defense Zones until 2014. In this process, he made an accounting of his practice and learned important lessons. Especially as an ambitious commander, he has been deeply focused on the development of our guerrilla warfare. After ISIS gangs attacked our people in Shengal and Rojava in 2014, he took part in the first guerrilla groups to go to Shengal and came to the aid of our people. Our comrade Memo, who has always been at the forefront to avenge the suffering of our people in the war against gangs, was injured during the war, but he still did not back down from his perseverance, determination and pace in the struggle. He has always sought to enlarge his existing struggle and has succeeded to a great extent. He gained the great love and respect of the Yazidi people, especially the children, and greatly influenced the Shengal society with the Apoist sacrifice commander features he embodied in his personality.
Comrade Memo, who returned to the Kurdistan mountains in 2016 after the significant decline of ISIS gangs in the Shengal area, crossed into the Bakure Kurdistan area where the war was intense in the same year. With his experience and concentration on guerrilla warfare, he coordinated many actions in which heavy blows were dealt to the enemy, and in these actions he dealt the heaviest blows to the enemy.
Our comrade Memo, who lived a dervish life with his clarity in Apoist philosophy; He represented all the characteristics of an exemplary Apoist commander in his personality with his simplicity, honesty and modesty in his comradely relations. Therefore, he became a center of attraction among his comrades. Based on her belief in the Women’s Freedom Struggle, she developed a relationship with her female comrades on the basis of freedom measures, and in this sense, she became an exemplary Apoist militant.

Our comrade Serhat was born in a patriotic family in the Dîgor district of Qers. Being one of the first areas where the serhildans against the occupation started in Kurdistan, Dîgor clearly showed his attitude towards the enemy with this feature. Again in the 90s, hundreds of people joined the ranks of the PKK. The family of our comrade Serhat, who comes from such a historical tradition, also joined the ranks of freedom. He was deeply affected by his uncle’s participation, and he wanted to follow his uncle’s footsteps from an early age and join the guerrilla ranks. Our comrade Serhat, who chose to fight like every honorable Kurdish youth in order to respond to our people’s demand for freedom in the face of the enemy’s attacks on our people, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2013.
When he joined the guerrilla ranks, he took the name of his aunt’s son, the martyr Comrade Serhat, and thus expressed his devotion to the martyrs. However, he realized that devotion to the martyrs would not be just like this, and he tried to fulfill the requirements of loyalty to the martyrs by executing the struggles that the martyrs left us as a legacy in a way worthy of them. For this reason, he approached all training processes, especially new fighter training, with this seriousness and made a great effort to become a competent guerrilla. Our comrade Serhat, who stayed in Garê for a long time after joining, has improved himself in this area militarily and ideologically. Comrade Êrîş, one of the representatives of the generation shaped by the PKK tradition, was born and raised in a patriotic family in Wan. Our comrade, who had to immigrate to Mersin with his family due to the inhumane attacks carried out by the colonial Turkish state against our people, closely witnessed the dirty policies of the occupying state in Turkey’s metropolises to keep Kurdish youth away from the struggle. Our comrade Êrîş, who grew up with a patriotic tradition, participated in youth work from an early age and struggled to protect Kurdish youth from dirty policies.
Our comrade, who took part in the works for a while, increased his level of consciousness by constantly reading and researching and tried to better understand the philosophy of the Leadership.
