BEHDINAN – The HPG press center shared the following details in a written statement:
“Our freedom guerrillas, inheriting the tradition of sacrificial living and fighting from our immortal fallen who made history by raising the resistance flag in the dungeons of Amed, are dealing heavy blows to the occupiers. As a result of the actions carried out to commemorate the July 14 resistance, our mobile teams punished 19 occupiers, 2 of whom were of higher rank, destroyed 2 armoured vehicles and hit 1 combat helicopter. The occupiers, who could not achieve the expected result against our freedom guerrillas, bombed the resistance areas and war tunnels 6 times with chemical weapons and explosives, 26 times with attack helicopters and 5 times with fighter planes.
The details of the actions performed and the attacks performed are as follows;
As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagros in the Xakurke region;
- On July 8, a Reo-type military vehicle belonging to the occupiers in the Girê Şehid Derwêş area was pursued for a while by our YJA Star forces and then hit with heavy weapons at 10:50 am when they tried to position themselves relate. The vehicle and position targeted by this action were destroyed and 10 occupiers were punished.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagros in the Avaşîn region;
- On July 7, between 06:30 and 11:00, the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the Şehid-Têkoşer war tunnels were attacked and fired on with sabotage tactics, hand grenades and personal weapons. The hit occupiers had to retreat a step.
In the Zap region as part of the revolutionary Bazên Zagros offensive;
- On July 8 at 1:00 p.m., the Scorpion armored vehicle, which was trying to move towards the Çemço resistance area, was hit by our forces with heavy weapons and destroyed along with the occupiers in the target vehicle.
- At 02:40 on July 9, attack helicopters that wanted to bomb the Çemço resistance area were shot down by our mobile teams using sniper tactics, and these helicopters were forced to leave the area.
- At 12:30 p.m. on July 8, a group of occupiers who wanted to carry out occupation-oriented road construction work in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area were closely followed by our mobile teams. After the commander of this invasion group was identified, he was punished with sniper tactics. The occupiers met later had to leave the area.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On June 30, the occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area were sniped by our mobile teams and three occupiers were punished.
- On July 5th and 8th, the occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area were fired upon by our mobile YJA Star teams using sniper tactics and two occupiers were punished.
- Between 09:00 and 17:00 on July 8, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî resistance area were hit three times by our troops.
- At 18:00 on July 8, the occupiers in the Girê Cudî resistance area were attacked and fired upon by our mobile YJA-Star teams using sniper tactics and the one occupier of higher rank was punished. The occupiers who wanted to intervene in the action area were shot at and beaten. At night, the occupiers were able to use helicopters to remove their casualties from the area.
- At 17:00 on July 8, the occupiers who wanted to advance towards the Şehid Pîrdoxan fighting positions in the Girê Amediyê resistance area were met with sabotage tactics and 2 occupiers were punished.
- At 21:40 on July 8, three attack helicopters bombing the Girê Amediye resistance area came under heavy fire from our forces and one helicopter was hit. The hit helicopters had to leave the area.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On July 8, the combat positions in the Girê Cudi resistance area were twice bombed with chemical weapons and explosives.
- On July 8 at 19:00, the invaders once bombarded the fighting positions in the Şikefta Birîndara resistance area with chemical weapons and explosives.
- Between 7:00 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. on July 8, the occupiers bombed the combat positions in the Kokerê resistance area three times with chemical weapons and explosives.
Attacks by the Turkish occupying army with howitzers, attack helicopters and fighter planes;
- On July 8, there was drone activity in the Girê FM resistance area.
- On July 8, the Girê Hakkarî resistance area was bombed with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons.
- On July 8, between 12:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., the Girê Cudî resistance area was bombed four times by helicopter gunships.
- On July 8, between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., the invaders bombed the Girê Amediyê resistance area 11 times with attack helicopters.
- On July 8, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:41 p.m., the areas of Xêrê and Dola Mêranê from Garê were bombed three times by warplanes.
- On July 8th and 9th, the resistance areas of Çiyareş, Kokerê, Şikefta Birîndara, Karker and Kurojahro were bombed eleven times by helicopter gunships.
- At 18:15 on July 8, the Çemço and Sîda areas were bombed twice by warplanes.”
