BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center shared the following details in a written statement:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is dealing heavy blows to the invading Turkish army by skillfully using the guerrilla tactics of the new era against the invaders. As a result of the actions carried out with sabotage, infiltration, assassination and coup d’etat tactics; 25 invaders were punished, 5 invaders were injured and 1 bucket was hit. The war criminal fascist Turkish army bombed the Resistance Areas 13 times with chemical weapons and explosives, 8 times with warplanes and 19 times with attack helicopters.
The details of the actions taken and the attacks made are as follows;
In the Zap region as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign;
- On July 16, at 08:30, the invaders who wanted to advance to the battle positions in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area with tanks, buckets and armored vehicles were targeted and shot by our forces with individual weapons, and 2 invaders were punished.
- On July 17, at 07:00, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Martyr Umît battle positions were hit with a sabotage tactic.
Within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, in the Xakurke region;
- On 14 July, the invaders in Girê Martyr Kamuran in Shekîf area were hit by sabotage tactics by our forces. Here, 1 occupant was punished and 3 occupants were injured.
Within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, in the Avaşîn region;
- On July 16, at 13:50, a bucket belonging to the invaders in the Werxelê Resistance Area was hit by a sabotage tactic.
Within the framework of the Cenga Xabûre Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign;
- On 15 and 16 July, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area were hit five times with sabotage tactics. As a result of these actions, at least 7 occupiers were punished and 2 occupants were injured.
- On July 15, the invaders in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area were shot by our YJA Star moving teams with an assassination tactic, and 6 invaders were punished.
- At 08:05 on 16 July, the invaders who wanted to bombard the battle positions in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area with explosives were shot down by our forces. As a result of the effective hits, the explosives brought by the invaders exploded and 3 invaders were punished.
- On July 17, at 02:30, the invaders in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area were hit with an infiltration tactic, targeting them from both sides. Six of the invaders who were hit with grenades and personal weapons were punished. After the action, the invaders were able to remove their casualties from the area by helicopter.
- The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On 16 July, the battle positions in Şikefta Birîndara, Werxelê, Martyr Umît and Girê Amediyê Resistance Areas were bombed 13 times with chemical weapons and explosives. It has been determined that the chemicals used emit intense brown and black fumes.
Attacks by the invading Turkish army with helicopters and warplanes;
- On 16 July, drone activity took place over the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area.
- On 16 July, the Saca, Çemço, Girê Amediyê Resistance Areas and the land of Şelaze village in the Metîna region and Girê Çarçêl were bombed 8 times with warplanes.
- On 16 July, Werxelê, Girê Amediyê, Girê Cûdî and Girê FM Resistance Areas were hit 19 times by helicopters.”
