NEWS CENTER – The resistance of July 14, which took place in the person of the leaders of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in Diyarbakır prison, today has become a symbol of the struggle for a free and democratic life for all of humanity. This July 14th resistance, which derives its strength from the ideas and philosophy of People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, has manifested itself in the person of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, once again in the mountains of Zap, Metina and Avashin.
Guerrilla Egîd Serhet said in his assessment of this issue; “Both the struggle and resistance of July 14, 1982, as well as the resistance of the leader in Imraliye prison, for which he is a great leader, was like a light in front of us.”
Guerrilla Egîd Serhet, who spoke to our agency through Radio, expressed his words as follows;
“In the history of the freedom of Kurdistan, there are some days and activities that have left their mark on history. The July 14 Fast of Death event is one of those events. The process that led to the September 12 coup against the leadership and the ideas of the leadership, against the PKK as an attack, as an operation. Here, the leaders of our PKK party, friends Kemal Pir, Xeyri Durmuş, Ali Çiçek, Akif Yilmaz and many other friends, who were physically far from the party, but made a great decision to resist, a great decision to succeed. They also got the strength from the president’s ideas, the things they got from the Leader’s ideology, they were able to carry on this struggle and resistance. On this basis, a great struggle against fascism and occupiers took place in Diyarbakır prison under the leadership of friends.
This struggle did not allow the enemy to reach their goal, the goals they had set in front of them were stuck in their throats, they could not achieve them. Because there was a great struggle against them in Diyarbakır prison. The president also says about this struggle, “As a result of the struggle of those friends, we took the step of August 15″. In this way, an armed group of guerillas developed against the invaders. The person who gave the most ideas of leadership in all aspects of life were these friends. As a result of that struggle, there have been so many great successes today. After so many big struggles, even bigger people developed great resistance and great attacks against the enemy at the global level. Now, against this resistance, the enemy wanted to immediately wage war against the leadership. Conspiracies are often developed for him.
The conspiracy of May 6, 1996 was developed, and friend Zilan responded to it with self-sacrificing action. After that, when it didn’t work, on October 9, an international conspiracy started again. After those conspiracies, the Leader was captured. The leadership calls the entry into Imrali prison as the third birth of the leadership. As a result, deepening in the ideology, it developed huge changes in the paradigm. This also illuminated the way ahead of us. Both the struggle and resistance of July 14, 1982, as well as the resistance of the leader in Imrali prison, which is a great leader, was like a light in front of us.
From 1999 until today, there is a very heavy and deep isolation on the leadership. With this, they want to widen the distance between us and the leadership, the people and the leadership. Therefore, there is an absolute isolation on the leadership. Undoubtedly, at first, the role and responsibility for the conspiracy falls on the youth, because the leadership considered the youth as leaders and owners of the revolution. That’s why the biggest responsibility falls on the youth of Kurdistan. What we have to do in this process should be the immediate physical freedom of the Chairman.
Wherever we are, wherever we stay, we will fight against this isolation. Let’s build a youth organization among the people. Build great activities, study your leadership, listen to your leadership, on the perspective of leadership, let’s play our role. We will not allow the invaders to do their work easily, we will fight against them everywhere. We will educate ourselves, fight against the special war that the enemy is waging without interruption. Apart from the struggle that we have to carry out in the villages, plains and cities, let’s turn to the presidential party, the free mountains. Because the biggest struggle to free our leadership is the mountains of Kurdistan. Especially the struggle that is being waged in Zap, Metina and Avashin. We will physically free our leadership only by joining the PKK, by increasing the guerrilla war. It is the responsibility of every young person to lead this revolution.”
