FRANKFURT – Approx. 60 activists from #DefendKurdistan are in and in front of the party office of the Greens in Frankfurt to protest the support of the German state towards turkey. They are present to protest against Erdogan’s dirty war in Kurdistan. Banners, slogans and music ensure a strong expression!
The police are on site with 2 patrol cars. The protest continues with no problems so far.
The activists make 5 key demands on the Greens:
- A resolution condemning the Turkish war of aggression in the Frankfurt city council;
- A conversation with Omid Nouripour (party leader & foreign policy spokesman for the Greens);
- The immediate halt to all deliveries of arms and other armaments to Turkey that are used to commit war crimes and violate international law;
- The stop of any political and economic support for the Erdogan dictatorship;
- An independent commission to investigate the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish army in Southern Kurdistan/Northern Iraq
