KOBANE – The young people are defending their country against the occupier Turkish state’s attacks on the Northeastern Regions of Syria.
The Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union of Kobanê have begun to defend the country against the occupier Turkish state’s continuing attacks on West Kurdistan and the entire Northeast of Syria. The young men and women who are defending the city of Kobanê spoke to our agency and stated that the protection of the country and society is a necessity, and everyone should take responsibility for it.
“My name is Hebûn Mihemed, we are from Kobanê. We, as the youth of Kobanê, are defending our country against the attacks of the Turkish state. Because young people are the ones who take the lead in their community, young people are the ones who protect their community. As we see today, young people have gone abroad and are defending their country, young people are responsible for this country. The youth defend their country against the attacks of the occupiers and its allies. In addition to the attacks it carries out, it engages young people with empty lives through private warfare. We as young people also respond to them in every way and prevent their attacks. We do everything we can to protect our community from these attacks. The enemy uses all his techniques and power to destroy us, until he destroys our will and strength, but he can not destroy our will and the youth, because indeed we are strong and determined human beings. It may be able to influence a few young people with its system, but it will not be able to affect all of them, because we will be an obstacle against them.
Finally my call for all young people to defend their community, to defend their land. As much as the enemy tries to destroy us with their technique, we also try to use their technique against them. We must now respond in every way and against every attack of the enemy. We inflict heavy blows on the enemy with our various actions and drive them out empty. Let us respond to the pain of our community and protect it. I repeat once again that the youth must take ownership of their revolution, take ownership of the years-long struggle of the martyrs. On this basis also the youth should always train themselves and fight against their enemy.”
“My name is Mihemed I am from Kobanê. We took to the streets to defend our city of Kobanê. Our presence here is for the people and against the attacks that are being made. First we condemn these attacks, so we defend ourselves against it. We, as young people, saw our duty to defend the country as a necessary duty, for which we are leaving the defense of our country. It is therefore important that every young person finds himself responsible for his country against these attacks and comes out to defend his country. That is why my call to all young people inside and outside the city is not to remain silent against these attacks. Let’s not close our eyes to the invasion, we catch spies every few days.”
“My name is Firyal, we are from Kobanê. In recent times, the occupier attacks of the Turkish state on the North-East of Syria have increased, especially we, as the youth of Kobanê, are defending our country, because we say that the youth are the leaders of the society. The occupier Turkish state has increased its attacks on the whole of the West, so every young person who has a stake in society and the revolution must come out and defend it. If we do not leave our country and do not protect it, the Turkish state will easily enter our country and occupy it. Because we are also the youth of this country, we do not accept these attacks, against which we will defend our country, for us the most important thing is to defend the country. The role and mission of every young person in the defense of the country is clear. It is a natural thing for all living things to protect themselves.
We leave from 9 pm until 4 am, our duty is to protect the community and give morale to the community. If the youth can defend their country and society, they will be able to destroy the Turkish occupation and their enemy. On this basis, our goal is to protect the country and society from coming here. If the youth do not fulfill their pioneering role, the society will be destroyed, the Turkish occupation and all other enemies will easily enter our country. As Leader Apo says “We started with the youth, we will win with the youth”, on this basis if the youth defend their country they will be able to destroy the Turkish occupation. Finally, my call to all the young people of Kurdistan is to defend their country and stop the occupiers.”
