BEHDÎNAN – The command center of the YJA Star has released a written statement on the 26th anniversary of the martyrdom of Zîlan (Zeynep Kinaci).
The statement states:
“On the 26th anniversary of the martyrdom of our comrade Zilan, we commemorate all of our fallen who defended free will in our history of freedom struggle. In the personality of Comrade Zilan, all the great pioneers and heroes who were in the Zilan line of command were the source of our power of freedom, such as Comrade Sema Yuce, Gulan, Leyla Agiri, Ekin Wan, Mizgin Rojhilat, Şevîn, Şaristan and In her person, we commemorate with reverence and respect all the fallen of the offensive Bazên Zagros, Cenga Xabur Şehîd Savaş Maraş and Egîdên Botan, who sacrificed their lives at the end of the human revolution to protect the dignity of the people against fascism.”
ZILAN BECAME THE HISTORICAL ANSWER AT THE MOST CRITICAL MOMENT
The YJA Star statement goes on to say:
“The creator of our fifty-year freedom struggle, Rêber Apo, established the values of freedom in the 21st century through the work of women’s liberation and organized its defense with the guerrilla army. In the history of our 50-year struggle, on the foundation of understanding Rêber Apo, our heroic fallen ones have been able to understand, implement and build the implementation power and lineage of Rêber Apos. Thus, through her activism at the most critical moments in history, Comrade Zilan was a historic response and became an essential part of the cycle of success. Our great leaders Sakine Cansız, Besê Anuş, Azîme, Beritan, Berivan and thousands of our comrades have mastered the art of militant stance Rêber Apos in the most beautiful, simple, courageous, presented in the most resolute and trustworthy way, and Zilan is the collection of values of struggle for women’s freedom. We, as the YJA Star Forces, must uphold the legacy of Commander Zilan’s militant line in the “It’s Time for Freedom Rêber Apos” offensive and definitely achieve victory.

Leader Apo, the creator of our fifty-year freedom struggle, created the values of freedom through women’s liberation efforts in the 21st century and organized its defense with the guerrilla army. Our heroic martyrs in our 50-year freedom struggle, on the basis of understanding Leader Apo, had practical power, brought Leader Apo’s line to consciousness, and thus revealed a line of action. That’s why Comrade Zilan, with his action at the most critical moment in history, became the main part of the success as a historical response. Our great pioneers Sakine Cansız, Besê Anûş, Azîme, Bêrîtan, Bêrîvan and thousands of our comrades have become the representative stance of Leader Apo militancy in the most beautiful, simple, courageous, determined and faithful form. As YJA-Star forces, we will definitely achieve success by embracing the militant line of the Zilan commander in the ‘time for freedom for Leader Apo’ move.
‘LEADER APO’S WARRIERS FOLLOW THE ZİLAN COMMANDER’
In the Third World War, the hegemonic powers want to liquidate the Freedom Movement, which led the freedom of the peoples and was the most dynamic and essential power in the Middle East. That’s why, first of all, they made our Leader a target. YJA Star forces, which are the bodyguards of Comrade Zilan, from Doga, Bermal to Avzêm and Arîn, from the Zap success battle to Botan, are raising the line of sacrifice on the basis of Leader Apo’s ideology and ideas. Just as Comrade Zilan, as a female militant who owns a historical move, held accountable for the dominant male who carried out the policy of deletion of women, she became the symbol of a successful woman with her courageous stance. The line of our women’s freedom struggle is also carried out under the leadership of women in our struggle for success, from Zap to Metîna, from Avaşîn to Xakurkê and from Serhed to Botan. He showed that by focusing on the goal, even the most difficult thing can be turned into success. Just as Comrade Zilan shouldered the heaviest burden in the most difficult period, today the followers of the heroic Fedayeen and Leader Apo’s fighters are waging a war of truth against the invading Turkish state, from Northern Kurdistan to Southern Kurdistan, in the footsteps of Comrade Zilan, in order to achieve success. He showed that by focusing on the goal, even the most difficult thing can be turned into success. Leader Apo described the action of Comrade Zilan as the most productive, holy and great action of our national liberation struggle. So aiming and execution creates the most powerful strike style and brings the enemy closer to defeat. Just as Comrade Zilan, with his determination to struggle, held accountable for his male-dominated civilization and became a manifesto of free life, we, as the YJA Star forces, will take care of the responsibilities of the period and hold the invaders accountable on the basis of commitment to freedom measures. We will represent Zilan’s ideological line to the end. As YJA Star forces, we will carry out our actions with the style and tactics of Comrade Zilan, and we will deal fatal blows to the invaders. We will fulfill our leading role and mission in every field, by demonstrating the determination of becoming a slave on this basis in our war practice. We will be Zilan’s true comrades under all circumstances. Just as the Zilan line was brought to life with the action of Comrade Sema Yüce, we will recreate every moment in the reality of commander Zilan with our determination in the war. On the basis of the Zilan militant line, we will create a free future for our people with the philosophy of women’s freedom, we will save our country from the enemy, and we will grant great success to history on behalf of the freedom front.
In the person of Comrade Zilan and all our martyrs, we once again commemorate all our martyrs with love and respect. On the anniversary of the Fedai Martyrs Month, all HPG and YJA Star commanders and fighters will participate in the process with Zilan style. We salute our YJA Star forces who have resisted superhumanly in Avaşin, Zap and Metina. An honorable life is only possible with struggle and life in Zilan. No matter how relentless the enemy attack is, free will is invincible, it is Leader Apo’s line of victory that will determine history. Therefore, as YJA Star forces, we promise our people and martyrs success in the war. Every guerrilla is Zilan. On this basis, we once again commemorate all martyrs of the revolution with love, respect and gratitude, and declare that we will protect their legacy of struggle on the basis of devotion to their memories.”
