QAMISHLI – The General Command of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) has issued a written statement revealing the identity of its fighter Mizgin Botan, who was martyred on May 30 in a drone strike by the occupying Turkish state in al-Qamishli.

“The occupier Turkish state is brutally and brutally attacking Kurdistan and the western part of the revolution. On May 30, the occupier Turkish state attacked a car in al-Qamishli with an unmanned aircraft. Our friend Mizgin Botan and our dear patriot Kesra Melek were martyred in this incident. Our friends Dicle Cudi and Hêvîdar Dirbesiyê were injured. We extend our condolences to the family of comrades Mizgin Botan and Kesra Melek and we once again promise to all our martyred comrades that we will achieve the goals they sacrificed their lives for and that we commend to our comrades Dicle Cudi and Hêvîdar Dirbesiyê.
Comrade Mizgin Botan alias Rahime Xezali joins the ranks of the YPJ in the process of heavy fighting in Rojava at the call of mobilization. Comrade Mizgin Botan, originally from the city of Salmas in East Kurdistan, grew up in a patriotic family. With this love of country he always grows in search of a free country and a free life.
