AMSTERDAM – On the 17th of this month, the members of the Radical Solidarity & Anarcha Feminist Group Amsterdam made the action in front of the Turkish consulate in the city in the defense of the Revolution in Rojava, Kurdistan against the attacks of the genocidal turkish fascist state. Today they shared a video of the action and a written statement that can be read as it follows:

“As the fascist Turkish state is preparing itself for a new invasion into the liberated areas in Rojava, we showed our solidarity with our friends on the ground and stand against this planned invasion. Erdogan is once again threatening the feminist, democratic and anti-state revolution in the Kurdish region of North East Syria.

This new phase of aggression comes after launching, in April, a ground offensive and war of large intensity against the PKK, the Kurdish national liberation organisation, in Bashur, in northern Iraq, southern Kurdistan.
On top of continuously arming djihadist groups in the region to attack the revolution, Turkish troops are now directly gathering near the border, further threatening the self-governing and autonomous region of Rojava. These potential new attacks are said to be a “military operation” to create a 30-kilometre-wide “security zone” into the autonomous region. This time around, the attacks will target Tel Rifat and Manbij where more than 100,000 refugees have found shelter after the Invasion of Afrin and Serikaniye in 2019.

It is now a matter of time until NATO will give its green light for the imperialist expansion of Turkish territory. Our comrades and friends on the ground are preparing and are ready to defend this revolution. But so are we, the targets of Turkish fascism are all over Europe. With this photo we warn the AKP-MHP government that they are messing with the wrong movement and that we will not leave this uncommented.

Whilst we trust the Guerilla forces on the ground to fiercely and proudly stand against these fascists attacks, we must defend and support this revolution internationally. Rojava and South Kurdistan have shown us that, in times where Capitalism and states are destroying everything around us, an alternative system is still possible; that a society based on social ecology, cooperative economy, women’s liberation, rid of a repressive state apparatus, is no utopia, it can and it does exist already. In times where dictators have a regained appeal towards imperialist wars, and international ruling classes are ready to fight each other on the back of the proletariat, we are determined to create alternatives. There can be no War but Class War! It is up to us to build 3,4,5 or more Rojavas! That’s why we call on all of you today to start organising for another world! Let’s come together in assemblies and autononous spaces with more tenacity than ever before! The resistance in Rojava and Başur is not backing down and neither are we!’.

Biji berxwedana Rojava!
Berxwedan Jîyane!
Long live international solidarity!
