BEHDINAN – The PKK Executive Committee sent a congratulatory message to HPG and YJA STAR commanders and fighters. “As a people and movement, we are going through a critical period in which the future of Kurdistan will be determined by whether the system of freedom or the tyranny of genocidal colonialism will prevail. For 38 years, the guerrilla in Kurdistan has been waging an epic struggle as a will that determines the course of history in favor of the Kurdish people’s struggle for existence and freedom. Our HPG and YJA STAR forces are the signature of all developments based on the women’s liberation line, especially the birth of the Kurdish identity on the basis of the Democratic Nation. In this fate-determining process we are going through, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is fighting on the basis of insisting on the Free Leadership and Free Identity in the spirit of the June 1st Breakthrough. In order to carry the Time to Ensure Freedom Movement to victory, our guerrillas are not only defending with Cenga Xabur, Bazên Zagrosê and Martyr Savaş Maraş Revolutionary Moves, but have reached a position of active accountability and punishment. In Zap, Avaşin, Metina and Xakurkê, HPG-YJA STAR commanders and fighters embody their historical anger against international conspirators, Kurdish enemies and all collaborator traitorous sectors who market the Kurdish people’s cause of existence, and display an epic will to fight expressing their loyalty, love and longing for Leader Apo.”

“With the decision of the AKP-MHP fascist government, the colonialist Turkish forces have carried the annihilation and genocide attacks centered on Zap, Avaşin and Metina to a new stage,” the statement said:
“At this stage of the war, the occupation of Bashûrê Kurdistan and then the elimination of Rojavayê Kurdistan is aimed. It is understandable that the genocidal colonialist Turkish state, which is aware that they cannot achieve these goals as long as the HPG and YJA STAR forces exist, intensify their attacks in this area. What the Kurdish people in particular, the peoples of the region and the democratic public opinion should understand is that the ultimate goal of these attacks, which do not carry any humanitarian norms, is to remove all obstacles to Turkish nationhood and to bind the region to colonial law. From April 17th to the present day, a unique resistance has been displayed on the basis of Apoist fedayeenism against these attacks, and the Kurdistan guerrilla has prevented the enemy forces from advancing and struck fatal blows. First of all, we commemorate with gratitude all the friends who were martyred while practicing the Leadership and the party line in this glorious resistance, and we state that they are our source of honor and pride. Their goal will surely be crowned with victory. There is no doubt that the HPG-YJA STAR guerrilla will uproot the genocidal gangs of the Turkish Republic from Kurdistan in June, the month of Zilan, with the deadly blows they carried out in the style of Zilan. It has become clear that they have all kinds of equipment for this. What is decisive in this war is the intelligence, will and determination of the Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism, which is shaped according to the philosophy of “the greatest technique is man”.
OUR COMMAND AND FIGHTERS ARE WALKING ON THE LINE OF VICTORY
Our YJA STAR HPG forces, who have so far successfully implemented the Revolutionary People’s War line in Zap, Avaşin and Metina in all its aspects, have put the Turkish nation-state, AKP-MHP fascism into a deadlock. It was not only the soldiers and gangs in the field who were stuck in Zap, Avaşin and Metina. The Turkish administration, which is in crisis due to its inability to advance the genocidal war in the targeted manner, has also reached the point of bankruptcy. The failure of the genocidal colonialist Turkish Republic in its attacks to break the Kurdish people’s will for freedom sharpens and increases the claim for freedom and existence in our people, women and friends. Our move to achieve freedom, with the guerrilla resistance at its center, draws everyone who insists on being a human being in the four parts of Kurdistan to resistance, and brings democratic nation-building to the forefront as a solution option in the region.
The events of the last 50 days of our great war of liberation have shown the level reached by our war line, which has been revealed since August 15, 1984. Almost every day dozens of invaders and gangs are punished for their crimes against the Kurdish people. Our command and fighters, who neutralized the invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish army with all kinds of technical equipment and chemical weapons with tactical mastery, comradeship spirit and Apoist will, continue to walk on the line of victory by striking the most effective blows on a daily basis.
As the PKK leadership, we congratulate our HPG-YJA STAR forces for their successful course of action that made the enemy regret ever setting foot in Kurdistan. In particular, we congratulate our entire command and fighter structure that effectively hit the fascist army forces who wanted to land helicopters in Girê Cûdî with coordinated actions and inflicted great losses on the enemy. Our comrades have once again proved that guerrillaism is the way of victory for oppressed peoples, women and social segments in every age and place with their heroic resistance in Zap, Avaşin, Metina and Xakurkê. This development is a great development not only for our country but also for humanity. The HPG-YJA STAR forces are engaged in an act of humanity that changes the course of history. There is no doubt that our command and fighter structure will crown the struggle for existence and freedom with victory by deepening the level they have achieved in the Revolutionary People’s War Strategy and tactics.
The HPG-YJA STAR command and fighters will shape the year 2022 with new acts of victory every day, and will destroy the Turkish state’s 2023 genocide plans. On this basis, we express our wishes of success to all our comrades with our love and respect, and we call on women and friends, especially the youth of Kurdistan, to live, work and fight in the guerrilla line.”
