BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center shared details about the war in Medya Defense Areas:
“The colonialist genocidal Turkish state attacks the Kurdish people everywhere, implements the policy of denial and annihilation and persecutes them. These actions of the Turkish state increase the determination, resolve, anger and revenge of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas. Everyone has witnessed the persecution of our patriotic people in Xashkan village of Elbak district of Wan. While the rampaging fascist gangs of the AKP-MHP regime are being liquidated day by day in the mountains of Kurdistan and it is obvious what they have become in the face of the guerrilla resistance, they consider it a feat to attack the innocent Kurdish people. However, our forces, with the awareness that the people of Kurdistan are the legitimate defense force, carried out the Revolutionary Revenge Operation on the evening of June 20 and took revenge for our people by asking the invaders to account for this.
OCCUPIERS HIDE THEIR LOSSES
Hulusi Akar and Tayyip Erdoğan spend the invaders they drive into the guerrilla areas only to protect their own power. With great hypocrisy, they hide from the public the deaths of soldiers they do not care about in any way. All the people of Kurdistan, the people of Turkey and the public should know that the Turkish army is hiding the blows it has received and the deaths of soldiers. It not only hides the deaths but also leaves the bodies of many soldiers in the field to rot and does not even give the bodies to their families.
In the actions carried out by our mobile teams, especially the Revolutionary Revenge operation; 36 invaders were punished, 3 invaders were injured, 1 drone, 1 mobesse camera system and 3 tents were destroyed. While the war tunnels were bombed 19 times with explosives and 5 times with chemical weapons, the resistance areas were bombed 4 times with airplanes, 10 times with helicopters and howitzers.”
The details of the actions and attacks are as follows:
In the Avaşîn region as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Movement;
- On June 20 at 12:50, the invaders in the Werxelê Resistance Area were hit with heavy weapons by our mobile teams.
- On June 20 at 15:00, the invaders in Werxelê Resistance Area were taken under control by our mobile teams. These invaders were then shot with individual and heavy weapons in a coordinated manner and it was determined that 2 invaders were punished.
Cenga Xabûrê Şehîd Savaş within the framework of Maraş Revolutionary Movement;
- On June 20 at 13:00, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the Şehîd Hêjar war tunnels in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were shot with sabotage tactics and 3 invaders were wounded.
- On June 20 at 19:30, the invaders in Girê Şehîd Akîf in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were shot by our YJA Star mobile teams with assassination tactics. In this action, 1 invader was punished.
- On June 20 at 23:00, our YJA Star mobile teams intervened against the helicopters over Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area. After the intervention of the mobile teams, the helicopters had to move away from the area.
- On June 20 at 05:55, the invaders in Girê FM Resistance Area were shot with assassination tactics and 1 invader was punished.
- At 18:00 on June 20, the invaders in Girê Jûdî Resistance Area bombed Shahid Çekdar war tunnels 1 time with explosives. While the invaders who were taken under control tried to bomb the tunnels with explosives for the second time, they were shot with sabotage tactics and 3 invaders were punished. Our mobile teams in the area simultaneously organized a Revolutionary Revenge Operation against the invaders in Girê Şehîd Leşker, Girê Şehîd Şîlan and Girê Şehîd Baxtiyar. In this Revolutionary Revenge Operation; 1 tent belonging to the invaders in Girê Şehîd Çekdar was shot and destroyed. 1 enemy sniper in Girê Şehîd Baxtiyar was shot and punished with assassination tactics by YJA Star mobile teams, while 1 mobesse camera system and 1 heavy weapon were destroyed. The invaders in Girê Şehîd Leşker were shot by our mobile teams from close range with grenades and guns from 3 sides and 25 invaders were punished while 2 tents were destroyed. At 23:00, the invaders took their dead and wounded away from the area by helicopters.
- At 18:30 on June 20, the invaders who took action in Girê Şehîd Şîlan were shot with heavy weapons by our mobile teams.
- At 05:00 on June 21, the invaders in Girê FM Resistance Area were shot by our mobile teams and 3 invaders were punished. At 06:40, 1 drone flown by the invaders over the area was shot down and destroyed by our mobile teams.
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On June 20, the Şehîd Hêjar war tunnels in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were bombed 6 times with explosives, 5 times with chemical weapons and 1 time with warplanes.
- On June 20 at 12:30, 21:00 and 23:55, the war tunnels in Werxelê Resistance Area were bombed 7 times with explosives.
- From 15:00 to 16:00 on June 20, the war tunnels in Karker Resistance Area were bombed 5 times with explosives.
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with howitzers, attack helicopters and warplanes;
- From 18:00 to 18:30 on June 20, the Girê Ortê area of the Metîna region was shelled with howitzers fired from the Turkish Republic’s Kanî Masî base.
- On June 20, Werxelê Resistance Area was shelled with howitzers fired from the border outposts.
- On June 20, Saca area was bombed 4 times by warplanes.
- On June 20, Kurojahro Resistance Area was bombed 10 times by helicopters.”
