NEWS CENTER – The Afrin Liberation Forces have issued a written statement informing of an action carried out by their armed forces against the attacks of the occupying Turkish soldiers.
The statement, addressed to the press and the public, reads:
“The occupying Turkish army is stepping up its attacks on the region on a daily basis, particularly targeting the region’s population. On June 21 and 25, our forces prevented two attacks by the Turkish army.
When on June 21 in the Mara region a unit of the Turkish occupying army tried to sneak up, our forces noticed them and a clash ensued. As a result of this clash, 5 soldiers of the occupying Turkish army were killed and 5 others were injured.
On June 25, in the Rawêrawa area, as a result of an enemy attack, our unit clashed with an enemy unit. 3 soldiers were killed in this clash. There were also enemy casualties, but the number of wounded could not be ascertained.
Generally as a result of these two conflicts; 8 soldiers of the occupying Turkish army were killed and at least 5 soldiers were wounded.”
