BEHDINAN – “In our statement dated 3 June; On June 2, at 10:00, we shared the information that there were clashes between the invaders and our forces in the Martyr Berxwedan war tunnels in the Martyr Shahin Resistance Area, and that a big explosion occurred at 11:24.
Our comrades in the Martyr Berxwedan war position of the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area displayed an epic resistance for 47 days, from the first day of the Turkish state’s invasion operation against Medya Defense Areas, until June 2nd. With their professional guerillas, they rendered ineffective all the modern warfare techniques, howitzers, mortars, helicopters, warplanes and UCAV’s that were put into the hands of the Turkish state. They gave unforgettable lessons in the Martyr Shahin Resistance Area by constantly hitting the invading Turkish army with a high offensive spirit, by not staying in a defensive position and saying “only resisting is not enough, we must achieve victory”. Not only did they shoot the enemy, they went over the enemy’s corpses twice and confiscated their weapons. However, the Turkish state and its private war media tried to hide its defeat by hiding all this from the public. However, Martyr Berxwedan heroes punished 4 invaders, confiscated their military equipment and weapons, and captured the bodies of 2 invaders, especially in the action they carried out on May 29. Thus, they undeniably revealed the defeat of the Turkish army in the Zap.
Unable to cope with our comrades, each of whom is a hero, the Turkish army again resorted to the most despicable and despicable methods, using high-intensity explosives and chemical weapons, also called tactical nuclear weapons, against our comrades. Continuing their despicable attacks for days, the invaders failed to yield any results in the face of the incomparable will of our comrades, their determination to win and their endless devotion to the Leader. They mingled with the invaders and fought heroically, punishing at least 12 invaders. The number of enemies punished could not be clarified, as all 4 of our comrades were martyred in the act of self-defense attack here. However, after this action of our comrades, the invading Turkish army took the dead and wounded from the area with helicopters many times. The 47-day resistance developed under the leadership of our valiant commanders, Comrades Bager and Avzem, has passed into our history as a new action of the Four. The resistance action of the Dörtler in the Amed Dungeon gained a new dimension and meaning in the person of comrades Bager, Avzem, Arîn and Şerzan in Zagroslar. Comrades Bager and Avzem have become the symbolic commanders of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign as our determined, strong-willed and self-sacrificing heroes, locked in victory to the very marrow of their bones. Gever, who has always been the center of resistance and serhildans with his unyielding stance against the colonial enemy; He continues to fulfill his patriotic duty duly by joining his valiant sons to the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Our comrade Bager was also born in a patriotic family in this city of resistance. Being born and raised in a patriotic place like Gever and being exposed to enemy attacks was enough for our comrade Bager to be affected by the struggle waged by the guerrilla. The fact that many martyrs from his family and his participation in the guerrilla also deeply affected our comrade Bager. Our comrade Bager, who could no longer tolerate life under the conditions of genocide imposed on our people by the enemy, decided to join the guerrilla ranks in 2013.
When he first joined the guerrilla, he came to the fore with his laboring and self-sacrificing aspects and started to reach the essence of the PKK from the right place. Our comrade Bager, who fought in the Xakurkê area until 2015, has equipped himself with important experiences on guerrilla life, in addition to his basic military and ideological training. He took part in many studies with his hard work and endless energy. He was successful in every work he took part in with his disciplined working style and gained the trust of all his comrades. Later, in order to respond to the attacks developed by ISIS gangs against Rojava in order to eliminate the gains of our people, they wanted to move to the Rojava area with great desire and insistence and joined the Rojava freedom forces. Comrade Bager, who fought in the Rojava area for 3 years during the most intense period of the war against ISIS mercenaries, participated in many moves and contributed to the defeat of ISIS gangs. While many state armies escaped without firing a single bullet in the face of ISIS attacks, the freedom forces in Rojava fought until they defeated these gangs and were successful. Our comrade Bager, as a self-sacrificing militant of these freedom forces, fought with the power of the martyrs and Leader Apo’s ideology with the spirit of great attack and pioneered many moves. Our comrade Bager, who set an example with his courage in these moves, did not take a step back from his determination and determination to fight, although he was seriously injured once, on the contrary, he continued his struggle by drawing great lessons. During the war, he gained great military experience and became a leading commander. Our comrade Bager, who returned to the mountains of Kurdistan after successfully fulfilling his duty in Rojava, moved to the Heftanîn area in 2018. He took part in many actions in Heftanîn, where he stayed for about a year, and set an example for all his comrades with his courage and composure. He shared his military experiences with his comrades and tried to fulfill his comradeship duty in this way. Our comrade Bager, who later moved to the Zap area, participated in the revolutionary moves developed in 2019 and commanded many attacks. Our comrade Bager, whose anger towards the enemy is increasing day by day, has deepened their concentration to avenge the attacks of the enemy against our people. Parallel to the military development he created in himself, he made a great progress in the ideological sense and endeavored to be worthy of Leader Apo and his martyred comrades. He was wounded once again while fighting against the invaders in 2020, he again managed to heal his wounds and took his place in the resistance positions. Our comrade Bager, Martyr Zilan, made many suggestions to become a soldier of the Immortal Battalion, and reached the determination to continue the revolutionary march as a follower of Zilan.
Our comrade Bager, who met the attacks launched by the colonial Turkish army against the Medya Defense Areas in order to occupy Bashure Kurdistan in the Zap area, organized the resistance with many different works and prepared the infrastructure of the resistance. With his vast military experience, he has prepared himself and his comrades for a long-term war. Our comrade Bager, who adapted himself to the changing war conditions in the most appropriate way, became one of the successful commanders of the new era. He played a role in stopping the advance of the enemy in Ciloya Biçûk and Kela Bêdewê in the attacks against the Zap in 2021. In the attacks launched by the invading Turkish army on April 14, our comrade Bager, who assumed the command of the Martyr Berxwedan war tunnels in the Martyr Şahin Resistance Area, dealt a blow to the enemy in the first moments of the attacks and prevented the enemy from landing on the Martyr Şahin Hill. Comrade Bager’s role was decisive in the Martyr Şahin Resistance Areas, where dozens of soldiers were punished and many actions took place. Again, Comrade Bager, who developed rich tactics against the attacks of the enemy with chemical weapons against the war tunnels by disregarding all humanity and war morality, also led the tunnel war style and reinforced the courage and determination of his comrades in other war tunnels. Our comrade Bager, who tried to respond to the expectations of our people and our Leader with his assertiveness and determination in the Zap resistance, which turned into a war of will, entered into a deep concentration and great effort to deal a great blow to the enemy. The family of Comrade Avzem, who met the Kurdistan Freedom Movement as a result of our leadership’s work in Rojava, became connected as we witnessed Leader Apo’s struggle for the freedom of our people. Our Comrade Avzem, who was born in such a patriotic family, recognized the PKK at a young age, thanks to the culture she received from her family. She has always seen herself as a part of the PKK and has taken it as a basis to live in this way. She considered all her future and dreams within this framework, and did not think of any lifestyle other than the Leadership philosophy and the PKK life. During the period when the Rojava Freedom Revolution was organized, our comrade Avzem actively participated in the activities and started to organize the youth. Our comrade Avzem, who has an enterprising and cutting-edge style, was very excited and happy with every young person she introduced to the freedom movement. She always tried to do the best in her work and never limited herself. She acted with the awareness that the ideological dimension of the work he carried out was at the forefront, and tried to deepen and renew herself in the philosophy of the Leadership at all times. She transformed her emotional attachment to Leader Apo into ideological consciousness and loyalty. Although she was aware of the importance of the youth work she was involved in, our comrade Avzem, whose heart beats with the guerrilla and the mountain, turned her face to the mountains of Kurdistan in 2014 and joined the guerrilla ranks. She acted with the awareness that the ideological dimension of the work she carried out was at the forefront, and tried to deepen and renew herself in the philosophy of the Leadership at all times. She transformed her emotional attachment to Leader Apo into ideological consciousness and loyalty.
After training new fighters, in which she was a competent cadre, she took the task of team commander and took care of the training of new recruits to the guerrilla. She had made a great and unmatched effort to make new recruits to the guerrilla ranks learn about mountain and guerrilla life and become professional guerrilla and quintessential militants by correctly embracing the essence of the PKK. Our comrade Avzem, who has attracted attention with her ambitious and strong-willed character since her childhood, has always aimed for the better and has always raised her goals. On this basis, he joined the Hêzên Taybet organization in 2019. Our comrade Avzem, a self-sacrificing militant by taking the revolutionary march that she started with the claim of being a free woman guerrilla to the next level, has lived as a self-sacrifice at every moment of her life. The enemy’s attack on the gains of our people and his insistence on the policy of genocide further increased the anger of our comrade Avzem, a leading PAJK militant, towards the enemy. For this, she deepened his military concentration and insisted on going to the areas where the war was the hottest. Our comrade Avzem, who moved to Avaşîn and Zap areas, participated in many actions developed against the enemy against the movement to invade Başûrê Kurdistan, which the enemy started by expanding its scope as of 2021. She gained great experience in these actions and shared these experiences with his comrades. Martyr Şahin participated in the war in the Resistance Area against the invasion operation launched by the enemy on 14 April. Our comrade Avzem, who is an example and pioneer for her comrades with her self-sacrificing lifestyle and stance at every moment of the war, as a YJA Star commander, she has always been at the forefront of actions. She took part in actions where dozens of invaders were punished and played an important role in keeping the enemy stuck in Zap. Our comrade Arîn was born in a patriotic family in Kobanê, which marks the beginning of a new era in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle with her resistance. Comrade Arîn, who knew our party PKK in the environment of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, was particularly impressed by our Leader’s assessments and determinations on women’s freedom. Aware that as a freedom-seeking woman, she can best express herself in the PKK, our comrade Arîn took the name of our comrade Arîn Mîrkan, who was the symbol of the historical Kobanê Resistance with her self-sacrificing action in 2015, and joined the guerrilla ranks.
In 2015, when she joined the guerrilla ranks, the attack of ISIS gangs against the gains of our people peaked. For this reason, our comrade Arîn has primarily focused on improving herself in the military sense. In a period when our people needed defense the most, she correctly identified the tasks of the period and deepened herself. For this, she put a lot of effort into understanding and applying guerrilla warfare tactics. Our comrade Arîn, who quickly trained and prepared herself for practice, suggested that we go to the Shengal area to save our Êzidî people from the persecution of ISIS. She participated in the liberation moves in Shengal, where she went in 2016, and earned the respect of all her comrades with her courage and self-sacrifice. Due to her successful performance in the war, she served as the team commander, successfully fulfilled this task. As a YJA Star guerrilla, she took part as a YJA Star guerrilla in the Mediban Campaign, which dealt great blows to ISIS gangs in the Shengal area and caused the gangs to break down, and duly fulfilled its pioneering mission here as well. Our comrade Arîn, who was injured once during this move in which she was one of the attack groups, nevertheless never compromised her morale. In this way, she recovered herself in a short time and took her place in the fronts by getting better. After the liberation of Shengal, our comrade Arîn turned to the mountains of Kurdistan to our guerrilla forces, who fulfilled their duties towards our people, she returned to the mountains of Kurdistan. She embraced life with the joy and excitement of returning to the mountains of Kurdistan, where she felt reborn. Our comrade Arîn, who was trying to strengthen her freedom-loving heart with the Leadership philosophy, wanted to become a competent and pioneering YJA Star commander by integrating her military experience with the Leadership ideology. Our comrade Şerzan was born in Istanbul as a member of a family originally from Muş. Although he was not born and raised in Kurdistan, he never broke away from Kurdish culture and consciousness. Therefore, his heart has always been with the struggle in Kurdistan. As a child, he was interested in the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla and dreamed of being a guerrilla himself. Our comrade Şerzan, who realized this dream in 2015, joined the guerrilla ranks.
Our comrade Şerzan, who joined the guerrilla with great will and consciousness, adapted to the mountain and guerrilla life in a short time. Influenced by the liberating aspect of mountain life, our comrade Şerzan became aware of, in his own words, that he “exists”. Our comrade Şerzan, who had the opportunity to learn about his own history in the ranks of the guerrilla, was greatly affected by the fact that the enemy denied the history, culture and identity of our people within the framework of the genocidal policies. Again, he was very excited when he learned that there is a history of women, which is ignored in the male-dominated society, and intensified to make a right comradeship with women. After successfully completing his military training, he became involved in the war against gangs in Rojava and Shengal areas due to the attacks of ISIS gangs against our people. He gained great military experience during these wars and moves, and became an exemplary militant with his laboring and self-sacrificing participation. Our comrade Şerzan, who always aims to raise the level of assertion and determination, has also increased his anger towards the enemy. Especially since the enemy killed our comrades by using despicable chemical gases and weapons, he spent every moment intensified to avenge these comrades. In the last developing enemy attacks, he embraced the fight more with the morale of hitting the enemy, Martyr Şahin has been one of our comrades who turned the Resistance Field into an indestructible fortress. Our comrade Şerzan, who formed the line of the struggle against the enemy with the self-sacrificing action they carried out together with comrades Bager, Avzem and Arîn, became one of the symbols in our resistance history by taking his place among the self-sacrificing heroes of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign.
