BEHDÎNAN – HPG Press Center shared the following details in a written statement regarding the current resistance actions and attacks of the Turkish occupying state in Medya Defense Areas:
“The actions of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in the Medya Defense Areas and Northern Kurdistan continue uninterruptedly with an attitude of self-sacrifice and a spirit of attack based on the revolutionary offensives. In the Botan area, the second Egîdên-Botanê offensive started in the name of our immortal commanders, Şehid Şervan and Şehid Diljîn. Based on the offensive, effective actions were carried out by our mobile teams from Besta to Kato and many of the operations of the occupiers were successfully nullified. Although the Turkish state tried to cover it up by not disclosing the losses it suffered in northern Kurdistan to the public in any way, as soon as our forces on the ground disclosed information, it was revealed again that all the news presented in the special war media of the Turkish state was false. In the actions carried out in Botan; 5 operations were nullified, 4 occupants were punished and 1 Amarok armored vehicle was destroyed.
From our mobile teams in Medya defense areas and our forces resisting in war tunnels; 11 occupiers were punished, 1 occupier was injured, 1 Mobesse camera system and 1 drone were destroyed. While the resistance areas were bombed 21 times with helicopters and 27 times with fighter planes; the war tunnels were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons and explosives.”
The details of the actions carried out and the attacks carried out are as follows;
4 INVADERS WERE PUNISHED IN BESTA.
Within the framework of the revolutionary offensive of Şehid Şervan and Şehid Diljîn Egîdên Botanê;
- The Turkish occupation army conducted operations in the Tehtereş and Masiro areas on April 14, in the Tehtereş area on May 14, and in Kato Xelîla in the Botan area on May 28. However, all of these operations were withdrawn without results. The operation that began on June 5 in Kato Xelîla is still ongoing.
- In April, our YJA Star mobile teams conducted an operation against occupiers stationed in the Girê Tenûre area in the Besta region. The occupiers, who were traveling to Girê Tenûre in an Amarok armored vehicle, were targeted and hit with sabotage tactics. While the Amarok armored vehicle was completely destroyed, 2 occupants in the vehicle were punished.
- At 20:30 on June 4, the occupants in Tingê outpost in Şax district (Çatak) were attacked by Wan and fired upon with sniper tactics. In this action carried out by our YJA Star, 2 occupants were punished.
- On June 4 at 00:00, while a mobile team of ours was operating in Besta region, the Turkish occupation army launched an operation in Serê Orman and Besta Biyê areas. After the area was heavily bombed, the Turkish army withdrew on June 7 without results. The Turkish special war media reported that two of our comrades were killed in this operation. However, the statements are completely false; we did not suffer any casualties in this operation.
IN THE METINA REGION;
- On 12 June at 11:00, occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area were attacked and fired upon with sniper tactics; 1 occupier was punished.
- On 13 June at 08:00, YJA-Star units targeted and destroyed with sniper tactics a Mobesse camera system placed by the occupiers in the Girê FM resistance area.
IN THE ZAP REGION;
- On June 5, 6, 8, and 9, the invaders who tried to station themselves in the Karker resistance area were attacked with heavy weapons and continuously hit. The stationing of the occupiers in the resistance area was prevented.
- At 17:00 on June 10, the occupiers who wanted to bombard the war tunnels in the Karker resistance area with explosives were attacked and fired upon by our YJA Star forces with heavy weapons. The occupiers who were hit retreated one step.
- At 06:11 on June 12, the occupiers who were trying to position themselves in the Karker resistance area were hit by a coordinated guerrilla action. First action arm; targeted the occupiers and punished 1 occupier. Second action arm; targeted and fired on occupiers using sniper tactics and punished 1 occupier.
- At 18:20 on 12 June, the occupiers in the Karker resistance area were attacked with heavy weapons and defeated.
- On June 12, the occupiers who tried to position themselves around the war tunnels in Şehid-Şahin resistance area were targeted and shot twice with heavy weapons. The occupiers, who were hit with precision, scattered over the area.
- In our statement of June 12, we stated that there had been violent clashes between our forces and the invaders in the Dola Şîvê area and detailed information would be provided later. On June 9, the invaders wanted to settle in Girê Şoreş and Girê Şehid Umît in the Çiyareş resistance area. During the night of June 10, the Dola Shivê area was bombed six times by fighter jets and eleven times by helicopters. On June 11, at 2:00 p.m., the clashes between our forces and the occupants who were advancing began and continued until the evening. While 6 occupiers were punished in these clashes, 1 occupier was injured.”
