BEHDINAN – HPG Press Liaison Center said, “Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla continues its war in Avashîn, Metîna and Zap Resistance Areas with Apoist sacrificial spirit despite all difficulties. The occupying Turkish army bombed the Resistance Areas 21 times with attack helicopters, 24 times with airplanes, 10 times with chemical weapons and explosives. As a result of the actions of our forces; 7 invaders were punished, 3 invaders were wounded, 1 radar was destroyed and 1 helicopter was hit.”
The details of the actions carried out are as follows:
In the Avashîn region within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Move;
- On June 3 at 13:30, the occupiers in Werxelê Resistance Area lit a fire in front of the war tunnels and tried to send smoke into the tunnels. This smoke continued for 15 minutes. These invaders were later shot with sabotage tactics, but the number of invaders who were punished or injured could not be clarified.
- On June 3 at 19:40, occupiers in the Werxelê Resistance Zone were targeted with individual weapons from two columns. In this action, 1 occupier was punished and 1 occupier was wounded.
- On June 4 at 04:40, the occupiers in Werxelê Resistance Area were shot with individual weapons. At 05:00, once again the invaders were hit and 1 radar placed in Girê Werxelê was destroyed.
In the Metîna area as part of the Cenga Xabur Revolutionary Move;
- On May 25, the attack helicopter that bombarded the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area was targeted and shot down and had to leave the area with a heavy blow.
- On May 26, the invaders positioned in Girê Şehîd Şoreş, which is connected to Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area, were targeted and shot with medium automatic weapons. In this action, 2 invaders were wounded.
- On May 28, in the morning hours, the invaders positioned in Girê Şehîd Şoreş in Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and shot with medium automatic weapons. In this action, 1 invader was punished.
- On June 3, the invaders who wanted to attack Girê Şehîd Akîf of Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area with explosives were targeted and shot with individual weapons. In this action, 1 invader was punished.
In the Zap region as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Move;
- On June 3, at noon, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the fighting positions in Kunîşka Area were targeted and shot twice with individual weapons. After the intervention of our forces, the invaders retreated one level.
- At 18:00 on June 3, the invaders attacked the war tunnels in the Karker Resistance Area with chemical weapons and tried to direct these chemicals into the tunnels using propellers. These invaders were targeted and shot with sabotage tactics and 2 invaders were punished.
- On June 4 at 01:55 and 06:00, the invaders who wanted to position themselves in Karker Resistance Area were targeted and shot twice with assassination tactics. In this action carried out by our YJA Star forces, 2 invaders were punished.
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On May 30 and June 1, Girê Cehennem war tunnels connected to Çiyareş Resistance Area were bombed 4 times with explosives.
- On June 3 at 10:30, the war tunnels in Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were bombed 2 times with explosives. The occupiers used sensor mines here.
- On June 3 at 12:30, 14:20 and 18:40, the invaders shelled the war tunnels in Karker Resistance Area 3 times with chemical weapons.
- On June 3 at 12:30, the invaders shelled Girê Shahid Akîf in Girê Hakkari Resistance Area 1 time with explosives.
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with howitzer, attack helicopters and warplanes;
- On June 3 and 4, Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area and Girê Ortê Area were bombed with howitzers fired from the border outposts.
- On June 3, Qaşûra area, Gundê Bêşîlî and Serê Metîna area in Metîna region were bombed 4 times by attack helicopters and 2 times by warplanes.
- From 19:40 to 01:50 on June 3, Girê Bahar, Girê Cudî, Werxelê, Saca, Sîda, Çemço, Çiyareş, Kurojahro, Şehîd Şahîn and Kunîşka Resistance Areas were bombed 17 times by attack helicopters and 12 times by warplanes.
- From 05:00 to 05:30 on June 4, the Çemço area was bombed 10 times by warplanes.
