BEHDÎNAN – HPG Press Liaison Center shared the following details in its statements on guerrilla actions and occupation attacks:
“The actions carried out by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla to salute the 18th anniversary of the June 1st Movement continue. The occupying Turkish state has bombarded the Resistance Areas hundreds of times with howitzers and mortars, 50 times with warplanes and 17 times with chemical weapons, once again committing war crimes. Despite all the invasion attacks, 15 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured as a result of the actions of our forces.
The details of the actions carried out by our forces with the Apoist militant spirit are as follows;
In the Avaşîn region within the framework of Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Move;
- On May 31 at 11:25 and 11:50, the invaders who wanted to advance towards Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons and assassination tactics. As a result of these actions, 2 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured. As a result of the interventions, the invaders retreated one level.
Bazên Zagrosê in the Zap region within the framework of the Revolutionary Move;
- On May 30 at 12:00, the invaders around the fighting positions of the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted 3 times with heavy weapons by our forces and 1 position belonging to the invaders was destroyed.
- On May 31 and June 1, the invaders around the Martyr Soran fighting positions of Karker Resistance Area were targeted by our YJA Star forces with assassination tactics and 3 invaders were punished.
- On May 31 at 12:30 pm and on June 1 at 03:30 pm, the invaders around the fighting positions of Karker Resistance Area were shot by our forces with individual weapons and at least 3 invaders were punished. In the morning hours of the same day, the invaders on the move were shot with heavy weapons by our YJA Star forces.
- On May 31, between 17:20 – 01:00, the invaders, including contras speaking Arabic and Behdînî dialect of Kurdish, who were on the move around the fighting positions of Karker Resistance Area, were shot 3 times with sabotage tactics by our YJA Star forces. As a result of these actions, 4 invaders were punished.
- On May 31, between 11:30-14:30, the invaders who wanted to bomb the war positions in Şehîd Şahîn Resistance Area and Şehîd Berxwedan war positions with explosives were shot 4 times by our forces. After the interventions, the invaders had to retreat one level.
Martyr Savaş Maraş in the Zap region within the framework of the Revolutionary Move;
- On May 30 at 18:00 and on May 31 at 11:00, the invaders who wanted to position themselves around the Martyr Savushka fighting positions of Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were shot by our forces with individual weapons and 3 invaders were punished.
- On May 31, the helicopters that wanted to land around the Shahid Leşker fighting positions in Girê Jûdî Resistance Area were taken under intense fire by our forces. As a result of the intervention, the helicopters had to leave the area without being able to land.
- Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and explosives;
- On May 31, Şehîd Berxwedan, Şehîd Şahîn areas in the Zap region and Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn were bombed 17 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
Attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with howitzers, attack helicopters and warplanes;
- On May 31, Girê Cûdî, Girê Bihar, Girê Amediye, Şehîd Şahîn, Saca, Çiyareş, Şikefta Birîndara and Kurojahro areas of the Zap region were bombed by attack helicopters, howitzers fired hundreds of times from outposts on the border line and 37 times by warplanes.
- On May 31, Werxelê Resistance Area was bombed by attack helicopters and 3 times by warplanes.
- On May 31, Girê Hakkarî, Şehîd Akîf and Golka areas in Metîna region were bombed dozens of times with mortars fired from outposts on the border line and 9 times with warplanes. At noon on the same day, Serê Metîna area was shelled with howitzers and mortars fired from the Bamernê outpost belonging to the occupying Turkish state in Bashûrê Kurdistan.
- On May 31, at 10:18 am, the village of Şikeftiyan in Garê region was bombed by warplanes.
- On May 31, Girê Şekîf slopes and Geliyê Lolan areas in Xakurkê region were shelled with howitzers and mortars fired from the outposts on the border line.”
