YPG: “Martyr Ekrem has worked for the freedom of his people since a young age”
The YPG General Command issued a written statement regarding the attacks of the occupying Turkish state, which this morning carried out a drone strike. He also testified for a patriot named Ekrem who was martyred this morning as a result of the attack; “As an honorable patriot, from his young age until the last moment of his life, he always worked for the freedom of the people of Kurdistan.”
The general statement is as follows;
At 09:25 today, two drone strikes were carried out by the occupying Turkish state in Kobanî. Both attacks were carried out simultaneously. The attacks targeted a car on the road to Aleppo and a civilian house near the center of Kobanî. Our dear patriot Ekrem ekstek was martyred in the attack on a house in the center of Kobanî.
Dear patriot, Ekehîd Ekrem was born in 1969 in .Şrnak. As a glorious patriot, from his young age until the last moment of his life, he always worked for the freedom of the people of Kurdistan. He paid a heavy price for this struggle and spent 13 years in Turkish state prisons. But because he did not back down at any cost, he overcame all the hardships and difficulties that came his way in the struggle for freedom with great determination and these hardships and hardships that came before him laid the foundation for the heightening of the struggle. During the Kurdish resistance, he responded to the President’s call with a spirit of mobilization and joined the Kurdish resistance. When the battle reached the city, Martyr Ekrem was one of those who crossed the border and reached the battlefield; took place alongside the freedom fighters. After the historical resistance of Kobanî, he took an active part in the work of the revolution in West Kurdistan and from time to time worked with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm in the construction of the revolution.
The occupier Turkish state is trying to suppress its internal fetishism, through war. It therefore increases its inhumane attacks every day and recognizes no rules or law of war in those attacks. In those attacks that often target civilizations, it is clear that the Turkish state is the enemy of all the peoples of the region. As it came out of the hole in the last attack, its attacks have reached a level that targets civilian homes in the city center. This fact clearly shows that the occupier Turkish state has succumbed to the struggle of the people of the region and has nothing to do except with hostile attacks. We strongly condemn these barbaric attacks, which often target civilians, and call on all our peoples and the world community not to remain indifferent to these hostile attacks.
We, as the General Command of the YPG, extend our deepest condolences to the precious family of our martyr and to all our people, and reiterate our commitment to the success of our martyrs.”
The body of Ekrem Ustek will be laid to rest on Thursday at 14:00 at the Dicle Martyrs Cemetery.
