NEWS CENTER – The invasion attacks that started on April 14 against Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn regions in southern Kurdistan, by the fascist Republic of Turkey in cooperation of the hostile KDP and with the support of NATO, continue with fierce clashes in the resistance areas of the freedom guerrillas.
It became known that the occupying soldiers and special forces of the enemy KDP tried to enter the areas by land, which were previously bombed by many fighter planes. However, it had to retreat after the Freedom Kurdistan guerrillas responded with the new era guerrilla tactics. The occupying soldiers are now looking to achieve results with the hostile guards and village guards in many regions that they cannot achieve alone.
The village guards are counter-guerrilla groups created by the turkish state in the 80’s. They are made mostly of Kurdish people that got assimilated by the turkey or are openly counter-revolutionaries and supporters of the regime or KDP. Among village guards are the families of Hazım Babat in the Uludere region of Şirnex and Tahir Adıyaman in Beytüşşebap are among the most prominent in the region.
The psychology of the enemy guards is destroyed
The enemy guards who were driven to the border line by the pressure of the collaborator Tahir Adıyaman, who was from the Jîrkî tribe, reported what happened in the region. One collaborator said that the areas they were taken to were first bombed dozens of times with fighter planes and subsequently they were taken to the same area. He explained that they had to withdraw after the Kurdistan Freedom guerrillas responded in the previously bombed areas and said that as a result of the pressure in the region where they went with the occupying soldiers, there were violent clashes and they had to withdraw.
Another enemy village guard who took part in the attacks said that despite using the latest technology, they were unable to make any progress.
“We did not expect such fierce resistance.”
Another collaborator, a member of the Jîrkî tribe who was brought to the border line, explained that they were constantly sent to the Metîna region and said:
“There, in front of our eyes, the same place was bombed 20 times by fighter planes. Everyone said, ‘Whoever was there was torn apart.’ Then they said to us, ‘Come, go.’ However, less than half an hour after the bombing, the guerrillas fought again from there. As if nothing had happened. We have already participated in many operations as village guards, but this is the first time we have witnessed such war tactics and fierce resistance. The new war tactics actually surprised us and no one expected it. The members of the movement came within 5-10 meters of the points where we were, but we still couldn’t see this infiltration.”
“No matter how much technology they have, they can’t get the upper hand.”
The collaborating guard said that the region is in the hands of the HPH/YJA star guerrillas, despite the techniques, armed and unarmed drones (UAVs and SİHAs) used by the occupying soldiers and stated:
“They know the territory as if it were in their hands and they act as they want. They have active groups. There are very fierce conflicts. When we go to the region, we have to stay for a month. Even during this time, our psyche deteriorates. I don’t even want to think about the situation we were involved in when the soldiers were operating. Because none of them knows the area and this is the first time they see such mountainous regions. Therefore, no matter how much technology they have, they cannot gain the upper hand. On one side they open fire on us and on the other side they drop bombs.”
“It was pure hell, I don’t want to go there again”.
The enemy guard expressed that the occupying soldiers could not engage in close combat, and said:
“Since the soldiers cannot fight, the mountainous areas are randomly bombarded for hours by planes, drones (SİHAs) and helicopters. The soldiers have settled on several bombed hills. However, attacks by guerrillas are frequently carried out in these places and it is not possible to determine where these attacks took place. It was pure hell and I don’t want to fall into that hell again.”
The collaborator added that he would no longer participate in the operation due to the difficulties encountered.
