NEWS CENTER – There has always been a hand-to-hand struggle against the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran in East Kurdistan. From the mountains to the prisons and everywhere in Kurdistan, the struggle of our martyrs has been a call for the freedom of the people. The genocidal attacks of the Iranian regime do not recognize any constitution or human rights. There have been many uprisings in East Kurdistan against the state fascism and the religious mentality, which says that one nation, one language, one culture, one people.
In the struggle for freedom the month of May has a different meaning because of the heroism that has been done. Our martyrs sacrificed their lives to create a new life and became a symbol of the freedom struggle of their people. The fascist regime of Iran executed 5 freedom fighters on May 9, 2010. The fascist regime in Iran, with the executions of Şîrîn Elemhûlî, Ferzad Kamangar, Elî Heyderiyan, Ferhad Wekîlî and Mehdî Îslamiyan, sought to stifle the voice of freedom of nations. But with the execution of these comrades the voice of freedom of the nations was raised, plunging the Iranian regime into great fear. For this, the bodies of the martyrs were not given to their families. This proved to be frightening even in front of the bodies of the martyrs.
Şîrîn Elemhûlî was the voice of women in East Kurdistan and Iran, against the male-dominated Iranian regime that never recognizes women and denies them women’s rights. Every moment of his life is spent searching for, following and fighting for freedom. In the corner of the prison there was a high and noble struggle against the attack and torture of the enemy. ‘I NEVER DID ANYTHING FOR SUBMISSION’ “I just wanted to live as a Kurdish woman in freedom. Şîrîn Elemhûlî became a symbol of the freedom of his people. Of course there are women’s issues in most parts of the world, but in Iran the pressure, pressure and breaking of women’s will is at its highest level.
Martyr Ferzad Kamangar showed the truth of teaching with his first scene. Martyr Ferzad did not accept the identity imposed on him and in return showed great resistance. Martyr Ali never accepted the mentality of surrender with his simple attitude and loyalty to his people and his demand for freedom. The struggle of these martyrs against the mentality of the Iranian regime, which seeks to subdue the will of the people through beatings, torture, arrests and executions, has been in the light of the freedom of all nations.
Şîrîn Elemhûlî, Ferzad Kamangar, Elî Heyderiyan, Ferhad Wekîlî and Mehdî Îslamiyan have taken their place in the hearts of their people in the struggle for freedom with great dedication and have become symbols of resistance in prisons. The martyrs of May were the pioneers of freedom.”
