CENTRAL NEWS – The 18th of May 2022 marked the third anniversary of the opening of the Andrea Wolf Institute of Jineolojî Academy in North and East Syria. For commemoration of our brave ones, we are coming up with a song Hoy Zeriye, originally a traditional song from the Koçerat region. It is a song dedicated to the beloved, Zeriye, the golden . It’s spirit touches the roots we mentioned. Although we know the importance of preserving the orginality of traditional songs, we hold the risk of adopting the song with different lyrics. Through this we aim to express commitment, dedication and revolutionary love to our ancestors in women’s struggle, to our sisters, friends and comrades in the freedom struggle today.
From Sakine, Arin and Beritan to Gule in Aleppo, Berta in Honduras, ŞuJîn in China, Ramona in Chiapas, and to all the women in the world who dedicated their lifes to the struggle for freedom.
